Just dodge his hooks. Obviously, you can't dodge every hook unless they are really bad, all you can do is either engage or flay him away when he does hook you.
Alistar
Fairly easy since you can hook or flay his headbutt, as well as flay him out of range of his pulverize.
Bard
Extremely squishy early game, dodging his q and hooking him right after will lead to positive results.
Braum
Going against Braum isn't really bad until he fully engages with his ult.
Janna
Depends on their skill level: Janna can Q your engage with hook, and can be annoying to deal with.
Thresh
In ranked there will only be one.
Karma
She is a poke based support. Engage in all-ins with your ADC if comfortable.
Leona
You can flay her main engage in lane - isn't that a huge advantage already?
Lulu
She can poke you down really easily, so be wary of that. Other than that she can polymorph your adc and also don't let her hit both you and your adc with her q.
Lux
A lot of poke, however she has no mobility and her early game damage is next to nothing unless she auto attacks to pop her passive. If she moves in to auto, you can flay/hook her and she is very squishy.
Morgana
She can spell shield your flay/hook. Also has an annoying long root. Your lantern can save your carry from her ult.
Nami
All sustain lanes are a pain for thresh. One hook and that might make or break the fight. Nami's bubble on the carry can spell a loss for the fight.
Nautilus
Not that much of a threat - you can flay his q. The only real engage he has is his ult. (Also really slow until he gets boots)
Sona
Sustain is annoying against thresh, but can probably be killed or pushed out of lane with one hook + flay.
Soraka
Depends if you hook her or the adc. If you hook the adc, they will be healed up in no time unless you kill them. However, if you hook the soraka, you have a good chance of killing her.
Taric
Difficult matchup- depends if you flay his stun or not. If you do, then he isn't much of a threat for the remaining duration.
Brand
Unless you land a hook which guarantees a kill, he will poke you down. If you land a terrible hook, he will just ult you and your adc.
