Introduction
When you start the laning phase, you want to apply pressure level 1 because your level 1 is better than most other supports, and make sure your ADC knows that you want to be aggressive early. If you do this correctly, the enemy will most likely back up allowing your ADC to farm freely while denying cs from the enemy ADC. Since you have a relic shield, you also want to use the first 2 stacks on the first 2 melee minions. This allows the charges to restore in time for you to get the first siege minion. From that point on, keep in mind any up coming siege minions and use any extra stacks on melee minions since they give more gold than caster minions. The first item you want is a sightstone because this will stop anyone from getting behind you which is a fatal flaw of Braum. If there is damage coming from both sides, Braum struggles to protect his carry as well as he usually does. On top of this, Braum has no escapes except his W which can be unusable at certain times. The play style of Braum in laning phase is aggressive but safe, so get in the enemy's face as much as possible and make sure you have wards protecting you from ganks at all times. It may be beneficial to coordinate this with your ADC so you do no have to constantly go back to refill your sightstone.
As Braum, your job is to stand in front of your carries and use your use to stop as much damage as possible. With the addition of the Knight's Vow item, your ability to survive is increased greatly. This is because of the healing you get from you partner dealing damage, which when combined with a Spirit Visage, means you heal for insane amount during fights so long as your carry is dealing damage. In rare cases, you will have to find a way to engage and then get back to your carries in order to do your job. The best way to do this is to W to a minion near the enemy or flash forward, use your ult and apply your passive to someone with Q and then W out. For this reason, you should rarely look to engage unless you team has no other method of engaging.
Braum is a great champion for protecting your team but can become useless if he gets too far behind in the laning phase. Because of this, Braum plays a safe but aggressive lane and rarely engages team fights. Braum's biggest strength comes from his ability to keep enemiesand skillshots away of his carries. Braum needs a good team to help him because his cc can only do so mcuh on its own, but witha good team, Braum can lockdown enemy carries while still protecting his own.
