-About The Author-I play Shaco a lot and in this guide I will hope to show you how much potential he has as a Jungler. Also feel free too comment as this is my first guide so its not going to be perfect! -Why play Shaco?--What can you expect from this guide?-
Welcome to Jester in the Jungle
|
Pros
>>Fast >>Quick Jungler >>Slow >>Stealth >>Fear >>Constantly Smiling |
Explanation Shaco's speed and stealth are an asset and makes him perfect for getting to the target unseen when ganking. Shaco has a decent amount of AD and AS it allows him to clear through the jungle at a reasonable speed. His fear and slow makes ganking a pinch with the help of your lane you can use your Jack In The Box and slow the target with Two-Shiv Poison to pick up an easy first blood. |

Cons

spaii| si| spaii| |
Explanation Shaco is a very squishy character so don't get too cocky early on make sure you attack with your team. One of his big problems as well that his moves aren't really built around late game play so you will have to use your abilities like Jack In The Box in the best way possible. Shaco is very hard to master. His abilities aren't the best for attacking head on strategic play is the best way to use Shaco and if your willing to put some time into developing those strategies it will really pay off. My advice is if your gonna play Shaco you will have to be patient about playing him as you aren't going to pick him up straight away. |
>>Hard to master >> Jack In The Box hard to use late game >>Squishy Early Game >>High skill cap >>The nerf weakened his Deceive >>Under rated |
Marks
SPACE | Great for early game jungling and ganking. These will help you too clear your jungle out and give that extra damage towards ganks. |
Seals
SPACE | Standard seals for a jungler. It reduces how much damage you take from creep camps and it also makes ganking less dangerous considering Shaco is a very squishy early game. |
Glyphs
SPACE | Helpful late game and early game. If you clear your jungle fast with your Jack In The Boxes you can get an early gank on mid without having to recall after the gank. |
Quintessences
SPACE | A great quint that allows for you to run through the lanes and jungle quite swiftly. This quint also goes well with Deceive because you can cover more distance undetected. |
SPACE |
-Offense Tree-Lowers your opponents armor and magic resist by 10 on your Exhaust so they are easier to kill and catch if you are chasing them. 4% attack speed bonus. Stacks really nicely with your Hallucinate. & Gives a nice bonus damage output for ganking and jungling. A very good percentage increase in AD for Shaco. & Good for ignoring armor on some of the more tanky lanes such as top and jungle. Crit Chance is OP and works well to peform quick takedowns with Shaco. Works well with Lethality and Statikk Shiv because it gives you bonus attacked speed every time you hit a critical strike. Great for finishing off blue/red early game also good for finishing off enemy champions. |
Viable Summoner Spells
Smite
SPACE | An essential spell for pretty much every jungler. Take it even if Shaco is able to solo jungle with his boxes. |
Ghost
SPACE | It is not my preferred summoner spell for Shaco but it is a very good one. The combination of Deceive and ghost allows you to get inside the lane undetected and ready for killing. It is also good for making a run for it when things get too hot. |
Exhaust
SPACE | My preferred spell for Shaco but not the only spell you can take. The use of the Summoner's Wrath mastery lowers the armor and magic resist of the target as well as slowing them very useful for ganking and is why its my preferred spell. |
Flash
SPACE | A standard spell good for getting away, although I don't use it personally its still a good spell to take. |

Shaco deals 20% bonus damage when striking from behind
>> This skill although a hard one to use is very useful. Make sure to take advantage of this when ganking someone or fighting someone. |
||| |
>> Good for killing monsters in the jungle early game if you use the jack in the box's as bait. >> Allows for quick beat down on opponents if you play your cards right because 20% bonus damage is ALOT. |
Deceive (Q)
||| |
>> Great for escaping when things get a little too hot and you need to get away. >> Allows you go through walls great for ganking and stealing baron or dragon . |
Jack in the Box (W)
||| |
Shaco creates a Jack in the Box at the target location with 150 health. It will Stealth after 2 seconds, and pop out when an enemy comes near (300 range), fearing nearby enemies for 0.5 / 0.75 / 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 second(s) and attacking them.
It deals damage, and lasts 60 seconds while stealthed or 5 seconds while firing. Casting Jack In The Box does break stealth. >> Its an awesome spell, placing a few of these bad boys down at the start will let you solo blue easily. Its extremely useful for ganking as well and is why its a great spell for Shaco. |
||| |
>> It allows you to take on jungle easily without any assistance or severe health lost. >> Placing a box behind the enemy in a gank is extremely effective for fearing them in the other direction. >> Its kind of useless late game in team fights. |
Two-Shiv Poison (E)
||| |
>> Try not to use it too much early on as it doesn't do a lot of damage but its mana cost is quite harsh. >> Use it to harass your target or burn a flash off them if you feel confident enough its also good for stealing red buff early on. >> Be sure to use it when ever it is possible and appropriate too the slow damage damage could be the difference between you getting the kill or missing out on it by a tiny bit. The main idea is just to take advantage of the ability when you have it. |
Hallucinate (R)
||| |
Shaco stealths for half a second and creates an illusion of himself nearby, which deals 75% of Shaco's damage and receives 50% increased damage (Deals half damage to turrets and inhibitors). On death, the illusion deals magic damage to nearby enemies.
Lasts up to 18 seconds. >> This ult... is AMAZING! When using items such as the Ravenous Hydra and the Statikk Shiv the clone also deals area of effect damage and uses the charge from the statikk shiv, aside from the awesome advantage with items it allows for decoys, bait, bonus damage and a tank. It has many uses and if you use good macro it can be a real pain in the butt for enemies. |
||| |
>> Can be used so that the target attacks the clone and not you. >> Easy to burst down adc's if they focus your clone. It also allows you to bait from a distance >> Amazing for escaping. If you use your clone and Deceive away you can be gone while they are still messing around with your portable punching bag. Beware the enemy can tell you and your clone apart if you have buffs on so be careful of that. |
Skill Sequence
Hallucinate (R)
6, 11, 16
||| | >> As with most ultimates,it is ideal to get them first chance you get due to there high damage output and overall usefulness. |
Two-Shiv Poison (E)
2, 4, 5, 7, 9
||| | >> The skill that you take 2nd but max first so that your slowing and damage input increase. |
Jack in the Box (W)
1, 8, 10, 12, 13
||| | >> First skill to take as you need to to clear the jungle although taking it first its not worth maxing first. |
Deceive (Q)
3, 14, 15, 17, 18
||| | >> Last skill to max because leveling doesn't change the distance your Q covers only increases the crit so it isn't worth maxing straight away. |
Starting Items
Hunter's Machete + 5 Potions
Recommended Start
SPACE | >> Your standard starting items. The machete for bonus damage and the x5 Health Potion for that extra health. |
Early Items To Build
Madred's Razors
SPACE | >> Good item to start off with and its cheap it also builds from your Hunter's Machete and later builds into the Wriggle's Lantern. It gives a nice armor bonus and of course the bonus damage against creeps. |
Vampiric Scepter
SPACE | >> Awesome item that builds into numerous items. It gives a small amount of life steal and damage good for a bit of sustain early game. This also builds into the Wriggle's Lantern |
Boots of Mobility
SPACE | >> Great boots since Shaco is highly maneuverable. They allow to engage on a lane swiftly and without detection and by activating Shaco's Deceive when your about to die in a gank you will be able to activate the boots ability to get away faster when out of combat |
Core Items To Build
Wriggle's Lantern
SPACE | >> Great item for Shaco. It gives the bonus damage against minions but it also gives attack damage and life steal. It also has a beast as ability so that you can ward your teams lanes or your jungle. |
Sunfire Cape
SPACE | >> Great item to build early on. It gives you a nice amount of health and armor and also gives an ability the inflicts magic damage per second on near by enemy creeps and champions. |
Ravenous Hydra
SPACE | >> Great item. It give's attack damage life steal and a nice amount of health regen. It also allows for Shaco to get some AOE damage as it gives the Aoe melee attack bonus and an activate aoe blast. |
Choose 2 To Build
Warmog's Armor
SPACE | >> A nice item for Shaco gives you some health so that you aren't beaten down so easily I like items like these because it allows your clone from your ulti to become more of a punching bag. |
Statikk Shiv
SPACE | >> Love this item on Shaco it works with Hallucinate to give you attack speed and deal some aoe damage. |
Maw of Malmortius
SPACE | >> This is an okay item for Shaco its a situation item and I don't recommend unless there team is strongly AP e.g Akali, Rumble. |
Wit's End
Sell Wriggle's Get One of These
Blade of The Ruined King
SPACE | >> Great item, gives attack speed, damage and life steal as well as a kick *** ability to slow your targets and finish them off ;) |
Guardian Angel
Enchantments
Enachantment: Alacrity
SPACE | >> Great little enchantment if you want to get that little bit of extra speed to run around. |
Enchantment: Homeguard
SPACE | >> Best enchantment in my opinion if your base is being attacked by the enemy team then its a great item for instantly restoring health and getting back into the battlefield quickly. |
Dragon
|
||| |
Spawns at: SPAAAAAAAACERespawn Time:SPAAAAAAAACE Initial Reward: SPE2:30SPAAAAASiiiiPAEEAAACE 6:00SPAAAAAiiiiAAACE 400 EXP, 190G (Team) >> iiiDragon is quite a strong monster. It hits you with a debuff that deals 60 true damage over time and slows your attack speed by 20% Shaco can start soloing this bad boy at level 6 and even kill it without loosing too much health at level 9. It also gives a 25 gold bonus to the person who hits for the last damage . |
Baron
|
||| |
Spawns at: SPAAAAAAAACERespawn Time:SPAAAAACE Initial Reward: SPE15:00SPAAAAASiiPAEEAAACE 7:00SPAACE 900 EXP, 300G (Team),iBaron Buff >> iiiBaron is the toughest monster on map. It also gives you pretty much infinite mana so you can go crazy on your man early on. |
Red Buff
|
||| |

Wolves

|
||| |
