Early game
Vs. poke: Bring sweeper and stay inside the bushes, poke with your passive + Grasp, wait for jungle or a good e.
Vs. tanks: Poke with your passive + Grasp, kill him when you can.
Vs. Bruiser: Play safe, the most of them can kill you early on. Poke with you passive + grasp.

Mid game
If you destroyed the enemy turret. you are not a toplanner anymore, look for agressive kills, help your jungles, gank other lanes, Take advantage of Poppy's strong mid game.
Late game
you start to stop being useful, since Poppy's late game is not strong, in tf, u need to ult the enenmy carry the most u can, peel your carry.
