Intro

Hello and Welcome to my first guide! :)
My Name is Luca and I'm playing League of Legends on EUW for more than one year now. I started with Garen Bot like almost everyone and practiced a lot to get better. When I finally hit level 30 season 3 already ended, so i started playing rankeds in pre-season 4 and got ranked in silver 4.
In season 4 I played some unlucky placement matches and got placed into bronze 4. My big target was to get to gold at one time. I did it and I'm currently Gold V, after failing the promo to Gold IV multiple times. :P
However, I started playing Wukong in Bronze 4 and discovered his potential to decide fights and carry games. He always was one of my beloved champions and I'm still playing him. So I decided to show you my way of playing and building wukong.
So let's go!

Here's some more information about me:

My current stats (19.11.2014) with Wukong are:

For an extract of my match history with Wukong look down below (-> Game Results).

Pros / Cons

Pro

+ Play-Making Potential with Decoy
+ Can fill multiple roles like Tank, Off-Tank (my most recommended) or even Full DMG -> some kind of assassin
+ Great teamfight potential
+ Also great counterganks
+ He's a freaking Monkey

Con

- Weak in Jungle in Early-Game
- No CC Pre-6
- Especially on Lane or when counter-jungled mana problems

Item Explanation - Jungle

Items

Item Sequence

Stalker's Blade - Warrior 2625
Ravenous Hydra 3300
Black Cleaver 3000
Randuin's Omen 2700
Banshee's Veil 3100
Mercury's Treads 1100

Spirit of the Elder Lizard
30 Attack Damage, 10 Cooldown Reduction. UNIQUE Passive: Returns 6% of damage dealt to monsters as Health and 3% of damage dealt to monsters as Mana.
UNIQUE Passive: Butcher: Damage dealt to monsters increased by 20%.
UNIQUE Passive : Incinerate: Dealing physical damage burns the target for 16-50 (based on level) true damage over 3 seconds. UNIQUE Passive – Conservation: Gain a stack of Conservation every 1.5 seconds (maximum 80). Conservation stacks are traded for equal gold upon killing a large monster, up to 40 gold for a kill.

Spirit of the Elder Lizard is the best and actually only really viable jungle item currently on Wukong. He's not a farmreliant jungler and focusses more on ganking than farming, so feral flare is no real choice.

Ravenous Hydra
75 Attack Damage, 15 Health Regeneration, 12 Life Steal. Passive: (Melee Only) Damage dealt by this item benefits from life steal. UNIQUE Passive: Cleave: Your attacks deal physical damage up to 60% of your Attack Damage to units around your target, decaying down to 20% near the edge. UNIQUE Active: Crescent: Deals physical damage up to 100% of your Attack Damage to units around you, decaying down to 60% near the edge. (10 second cooldown)

Ravenous Hydra is a really strong Item on Wukong. It gives him waveclear and sustain, and Wukong lacks both of these features. It also gives him additional burst damage. Great Item!

Black Cleaver
50 Attack Damage, 10 Cooldown Reduction, 200 Health. UNIQUE Passive: +10 Armor Penetration. Dealing physical damage to an enemy champion reduces their armor by 5% for 4 seconds. This effect stacks up to 5 times for a maximum of 25% armor reduction.

The stacking armorreduction perfectly suits Wukong's kit. With the help of Cyclone and Randuin's Omen Wukong can apply the armorreduction effectively and deals huge damage.
Probably the most important item on the monkey

Randuins Omen
70 Armor, 500 Health. UNIQUE Passive: Cold Steel: If you are hit by a basic attack, you slow the attacker's Attack Speed by 15% for 1 second. UNIQUE Active: Slows the Movement Speed of nearby enemy units by 35% for 2 seconds + 1 second for every 200 Armor and 200 Magic Resistance you have (500 range). 60 second cooldown.

Gives Tankiness and Utility. With the help of Randuin's Omen Wukong can stay near his enemies while casting Cyclone.
Sunfire Cape is also a viable choice, I prefer Randuin's Omen just because of the active though.

Banshee's Veil
450 Health, 55 Magic Resistance. UNIQUE Passive: Grants a spell shield that blocks the next enemy ability. This shield refreshes after no damage is taken from enemy champions for 40 seconds.
UNIQUE Passive: Grants 45 health regen for 10 seconds after taking damage from an enemy champion.

Banshee's Veil gives you Magic Resistance, Health and a great active. The shield prevents you from getting caught out of position or to get stunned directly after engaging. I really recommend this item against teamcomps with magic dmg and catch potential. Of course don't get it against Full-AD teams. Get a Thornmail instead!

Mercury's Treads
25 Magic Resistance. UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced Movement: +45 Movement Speed. UNIQUE Passive: Tenacity: The duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, silences, blinds and immobilizes are reduced by 35%.

Not much too say to Mercury's Treads. The bonus MR is nice, but you mainly get these boots for the awesome Tenacity passive.
You can also get early Mobility Boots if you need to roam around the map more and faster, but for teamfights i'd really replace them with Mercury's Treads

Spells - Jungle

Recommended Spells in Jungle

The probably most popular spell anyways. You really want to have it, since it's your only safe escape and gives you great utility and possiblities to make plays and to engage with it. Be sure to take this 100%

Not much to say to this. You're the Jungler, so you obviously should take smite for faster campclear and above all for securing buffs and objectives.

Do never take this:

It just doesn't suit your kit like flash does, since you lose your only escape and play potential.

Spells - Lane

Recommended Spells on Lane

The probably most popular spell anyways. You really want to have it, since it's your only safe escape and gives you great utility and possiblities to make plays and to engage with it. Be sure to take this 100% (Just like in Jungle :P)

I'd always take this on midlane and also on top against some champions with high selfheal like Dr.Mundo. It gives you a lot more lane aggression.

You can get faster back on lane. Recommended for toplane except in certain matchups -> ignite

Viable in certain matchups -> Zed for example

Do never take this:

It just doesn't suit your kit like flash does, since you lose your only escape and play potential.

I would not recommend any other summoner spells

Team Synergy

Orianna and Wukong together in one team have incredible potential to decide a fight alone. Orianna gives the ball to the monkey and he dives in, knocking up (in the best case) multiple enemys, following Orianna's shockwave. Awesome Synergy! Just try it out.

These two obviously work awesome together as well, since Yasuo can simply follow Wukong's knockup. Just like the Ori-Wu combo, they can decide a fight with their two ults alone.

Wukong engages, knocking the enemys up which helps Katarina to follow with her full combo and get her resets with lower risk, since the enemy's aren't able to shut her down immediatly

Not much to explain. Lulu supports Wukong to survive longer after engaging with her ult and shields. Her speedbuff can also help to dive into the enemy team. These two work great together.

Have you ever been stuck in a Jarvan ult? It's pretty annoying, especially when a crazy monkey can just get into it with Nimbus Strike and follow with his Cyclone. No chance to survive this with low mobility and Flash on cooldown.

Warding

I guess this is the best way to show you guys how to ward. This map simply shows where the main warding spots are and where you should use your sweeping lens and blue trinket. You can use this "warding map" for every role. As jungle and mid i'd recommend to get an early pink and place it in one of the riverbushes and especially as jungler to get a green ward somewhere in the enemy jungle to be able to follow the actions of the enemy jungler.

Credits to "CyberDamnation" for this almost perfect explanation where to ward.

Game Results

Here you can see that my builds actually work, these are my last 8 games with Wukong without cutting any bad games out, and as you can clearly see i won 6/8 of them, the lose on the bottom actually even was a 4v5 where i almost managed to carry the game with another teammate, but unluckily we lost the 4v5 after even getting close to their nexus.

Summary

Thanks for reading my first guide :) No matter if you liked it i'd be really happy if you could give me some feedback, like just vote or even write a short comment. It's really great to get something back after working on a guide like this for some hours.
Also feel free to ask whatever you like, i'll try to answer every questions on tactics and/or the build.
btw: I'm not a native english speaker, so please excuse me if I made some mistakes :)

Furthermore I want to introduce you one of the best Wukong players that I know. He's called Allorim and a Master I Wukong main with nearly 1000 Wukong games this season. The build that i introduced isn't his build though, it's based on my personal experience with Wukong in lower elo.
I will link him below:
