Ultimate Star Dragon Jungle Guide (WIP)

By Fyriiee
Aurelion Sol Jungle
While Aurelion Sol jungle may seem troll, it really isn't. Just slightly. He was a bit better in S10, but he can still work in Season 11 preseason if you get over his early game.
ABILITIES

PASSIVE - CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE

INNATE: Aurelion Sol is constantly orbited by three Stars, each doing a full circumference in 5.25 seconds, and beyond them exists an Outer Limit affecting his damaging abilities.

The Stars deal 12 − 120 (based on level) (+ 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 (based on Celestial Expansion's Rank) (+ 25% AP) magic damage to enemies that come in contact with them as well as execute enemy minions that have less than Health icon.png 25 health, including if they are brought to or below that threshold.

Effect Radius: 325
Outer Limit: 650

· The stars orbit counterclockwise around Aurelion Sol.
· Aurelion Sol's Stars have independent Sight vision hitboxes, meaning that they may remain visible even while he is within a brush, and must be in the brush themselves in order to be hidden.
· An individual Star must complete at least one third of its orbit before it can damage the same target again.
· In the event that an enemy orbits around Aurelion Sol at the same rate as his Stars without leaving their hitbox, they will take damage once every third of the way around.
· Stars deal area damage.
· Stars are blocked by spell shields, such as Sivir's Spell Shield or Nocturne's Shroud of Darkness.

"Boop."

Q - STARSURGE

ACTIVE: Aurelion Sol fires the core of a newborn star in the target direction, which expands as long as it remains within the Outer Limit and grants him 20% bonus movement speed. Starsurge can be recast after 0.25 seconds.

Upon traveling beyond the Outer Limit or recasting, the core detonates, dealing (70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230) (+ 65% AP) magic damage to all enemies caught within and stunning them for (0.55 / 0.6 / 0.65 / 0.7 / 0.75) seconds, increased by 0% − 300% (based on time traveled).

RECAST: Aurelion Sol detonates the core early.

Minimum Effect Radius: 75
Maximum Effect Radius: ∞

· If Aurelion Sol is faster than Starsurge, then the missile speed will increase to keep up.
· The initial cast of Starsurge procs Spellblade and stacks Kassadin's Force Pulse. However, detonating the ability manually does not.
· Starsurge expands indefinitely as long as it is kept within the Outer Limit.

"And I'm barely trying!"

W - CELESTIAL EXPANSION

PASSIVE: The base damage is increased.

ACTIVE: Aurelion Sol expands his Stars out to the Outer Limit, rotating them at a high but decaying speed, and increasing their total damage by 40%. Celestial Expansion can be recast after 1 second.

After 3 seconds, recasting, or immediately after casting Comet of Legend, the stars retract and Aurelion Sol gains 40% bonus movement speed, decaying over 1.5 seconds.

RECAST: Aurelion Sol commands the stars to retract early.

· Celestial Expansion's recast can be used while affected by crowd control.
· The initial cast counts as an ability activation for the purposes of on-cast effects such as Spellblade and stacks Kassadin's Force Pulse. However, detonating the ability manually does not.

"My sphere of influence grows."

E - COMET OF LEGEND

ACTIVE: Aurelion Sol pulls in his Stars and takes flight, dashing in the target direction. While in flight, Aurelion Sol has unobstructed vision and sets his movement speed to a static amount. Comet of Legend can be recast after 1.5 seconds during the dash.

After 3 seconds, recasting, or immediately after casting Comet of Legend, the stars retract and Aurelion Sol gains 40% bonus movement speed, decaying over 1.5 seconds.

RECAST: Aurelion Sol ends Comet of Legend early.

· Celestial Expansion's recast can be used while affected by crowd control.
· The initial cast counts as an ability activation for the purposes of on-cast effects such as Spellblade and stacks Kassadin's Force Pulse. However, detonating the ability manually does not.

"They call me a comet. They call me a dragon. They have no words for my true form."
Early Clears
On your first clear, do a 3 camp clear taking Red Buff, krugs, and Blue. You can also do a 4 camp, clearing a buff, doing the raps and wolves, and ending on the other buff.

Try not to use W on multi-target camps, as it's just not efficient. Make sure you stun jungle monsters before activating W.

ASol actually has a very healthy clear without a leash. Practice starting on Red Buff and clearing up in the practice tool.
Ganking
Aurelion Sol excels at ganking because of his Q and E abilities. When ganking, use your Q to stun the laner, then use your W to finish the laner off. Sometimes you can wait to use your Q stun when the laner is pushed far up to secure the kill. This is a guaranteed kill unless the laner is under tower.

Make sure not to take any ganks that you know will not turn out well. Because Aurelion Sol is off-meta, one death will set you behind massively. Therefore, if ganking is not an option, try to just farm it out.
Skirmishing
When Skirmishing, you want to use your Q and W in conjunction, making sure to keep your distance and kite your opponent(s). If you are joining a fight from far away, make sure you use your E once your opponents are in the E range and use Q while in E. Your Q should be a multi-man stun because your Q increases in size the longer it is active.
Playstyle
When playing Aurelion Sol, you want to make sure you are able to use your stars to kite properly. You do not do that much burst damage. Instead, you do damage over time, so you need to stay alive during fights.

Staying alive is the most important part of Aurelion Sol. Like Evelynn or Master Yi, you cannot die too many times, or you will be useless in the game. So, ward and be cautious accordingly.

Once you're in the mid-late game, you are surprisingly quite tanky. Just make sure not to let anybody within your stars and you'll be fine.
