Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
I understand that this guide might not be the best guide there is for Yorick and I don't claim it to be, this is simply my way of playing Yorick and it may not work for others.
This is my first build on mobafire and I'm ready for constructive criticism. If you have anything constructive to say about this build please feel free to and I will take into account what you are saying and possibly use your advice. Also I will continue to try different item builds for a more Dps oriented version.
Tanky, AD Dps, And More AD Dps
Still trying new things out on all 3 builds. If you have any suggestions feel free to let me know.
Pros & Cons
Has a Zil/Morde kind of ult all in the same spell giving a team mate a few seconds to get a kill or making a copy of them to help your damage sounds like a win win to me!
Can take a lot of damage and deal a decent amount if built right.
His ghouls are awesome and the sounds they make when dying is even better =P.
Easy to harass with ranged dps early game >.<
Ghouls don't last long early game because of how fast their little itty bitty health vanishes.
Mana problems out the balls early on till you get your .
Last hitting can be a pain some times depending on who you are in a lane with/against.
I usually choose 9xgreater mark of desolation and 3xgreater quintessence of desolation runes that most melee champs have. Flat mana regen runes 9xgreater seal of replenishment to combat the pain in the *** mana problems you run into while using him. I also gave him 9x to give him a better cd on his Q. I haven't tried greater seal of vitality yet because I don't have the need for it but I'm sure it would work at the cost of casting early game making you somewhat useless for ganking.
Spells I would use
Good for getting away in those sticky situations and my top pick for summoners.
Great for having a extra slow and good for debuffing that bursty damage on the other team.
Good for adding some extra damage when you can't seem to get the kill + the healing debuff is a nice addition.
Ghost is great for chasing and I don't see any issues with using it over flash if it's your play style I simply chose not to use it because most of the time I want a quick way out of a lot of burst and flash for me is the way to go.
Spells I would not use
Good for clearing lanes or getting to a ward in a bush for a gank or for guarding that tower that is about to fall but honestly if a team is trying to take your turret and you are the only person able to defend you will probably just die.
Would be ok for early game mana problems but once you get your its useless.
Ewww need I say more?
And yet another yucky.
[Levels 1-6] At early levels sit back and farm unless someone is over extending or you have a team mate that can cc well such as Rammus or Amumu to taunt them or wrap Amumu is amazing since at level 6 he has a double stun + your exhaust means the person you go for usually wont get away.
Use and as harass or to farm from a safe distance only last hitting with it to make sure i get the gold, remember your mana isn't all that great right now so spamming those abilities all the time will make you go oom fast. If you can get close enough to hit them or they try to gank your team mate use your on them this move hits hard and you would use it after using and to make use of your passive and get that extra damage in.
Once you get enough for go back if your team mate is able to hold the lane alone buy that then hurry back. The reason for this is so that by the time you get your you have plenty of mana stacked up giving you a nice boost in AD. If you cant go back no biggie wait till you are able and then buy both your and your at the same time.
[Levels 7-11] By now you should be able to farm up a storm Yorick's ghouls are able to push pretty good and last hitting with him should be a breeze with your . After farming you should have enough to get at least your you should do so as fast as possible followed by your if you have enough gold. Push your lane as fast as possible and help out other lanes that might need your help. Once you get 1100 gold head back again and get your .
[Levels 12-18] Farm farm farm it's one of Yorick's best qualities push lanes and be careful of ganks using wards to watch your back. By now if you are farming like you should be, you have your and should be ready to take some beatings for your team make sure your is farmed up somewhat so that you have as much health as possible before going into team fights.
Mostly Physical Dps team
or for those pesky yi's/noc's!
Build cost=12,795 gold
Mostly Magic Dps Team
if isn't needed exchange it for .
Build Cost=13,175 Gold
Healthy Dps Build
Build Cost=14,810 Gold
Mostly Magic Other Team
Build Cost=14,630 Gold
More Dps oriented Build
Build Cost=14,332 Gold
Your team fight combo should look something like this .
The reasoning of using your last is the more ghouls you have up counting your revenant or your fallen team member that you used your ult on counts for your passive Meaning you do more damage the more ghouls you have out and since is your top damage ability you want to use it when you have the most damage output.
"IMPORTANT"When using your make sure you are close to the enemy since it's duration is super low you want to be as close as possible when using it and remember to take into account that it is based off the ad of the person you cast it on. Meaning that if you cast it on yourself and you don't have much ad it wont do much damage. If you have someone like Nasus around you cast it on him instead the dps it will do will be so much better.
I will be updating this pic as soon as I get some more games in to get rid of the co-ops don't downrate me because of that.
Here is a better screenshot till I get more games in.
