AP is a cheap way to play Yi.. You destroy the consistent, powerful dps and backdoor power Yi brings to a game. His meditate can be shut down with any stun, or people can even ignore him whilst he heals.. I mean hes not going to be dealing any damage whilst channeling meditate. Also his only AP move is alpha strike, which is MEH.. hes like some twisted AP sion that has no stun and is a bit more useless.

When I see AP Yi carry an enemy team from when his score is 0/10 I will believe you.

Not that AP yi isn't god-awful (like DPS soraka, for instace), but he's VERY sub-par compared to other AP champs. Even mediocre AP champs (Cassiopeia) are better than AP yi, because they have utility and nukes that isn't one single high-cooldown multi-target nuke.
