Kinda off topic, but I doubt Morde needs his Revolver now, the heal does pretty much the same.
Still no harm in getting it. Gunblade is a decent purchase on him, so he doesn't have that previous dilemma of having two items that he doesn't want to use, with WotA being underwhelming as an item and Gunblade simply just not synergising well.
Thank you to MissMaw for the signatures!

Gunblade is "decent" and that is about it. Rushing Rylai's Crystal Scepter + Haunting Guise will do more for you than the Gunblade, but that's just my opinion.

What? Which game have you been playing? Trinity Force rush is without a doubt the best build path on him.

Trinity is great on him combined with Sterak's Gage, Hextech feels bad and it's unnecessary for healing. His AD scalings are higher than his AP scalings and building Triforce doesn't stop you from also building magic pen a la Corki and going into Rylai Guise later on.

AD scalings are higher than AP scalings, but there is an item called Rabadon's Deathcap that multiplies your AP by 35% and AP is generally higher than AD. Also W and R have no AD scaling at all.
Deathcap wouldn't be good on him, it wasn't even that great on old Mordekaiser. A champion having low AP ratios doesn't make building Deathcap better, it makes it worse.

I'd say they're a worthwhile purchase for Mordekaiser. Health costs on abilities, and the shield does somewhat make up for the lack of aggressive defensive runes. Otherwise, just run armour runes to make the shield more efficient, especially considering his new home.
It's difficult to justify HP5 runes as anything other than an early game set, which becomes null after purchases such as Revolver for Morde. Your better off getting runes that are relevant throughout the game.
