What if our guide was to be for a champ that works in more than one role, and you make it for both?
These types of guides will be entered for all appropriate categories, but each judge will only be looking at content that pertains to their role. For example, if you have a guide that includes info on Sion top, jungle and support, the support judge is only going to look at the support content and compare that to content from other (full-support) guides.
Generally it's easier to win if you focus your guide on one role, but it's not impossible to do otherwise. ^_^
Also note that each guide can only win in one category, so even if your guide is the best jungle, support and top lane guide out there, it can only win once. The same author can win multiple categories, but they must be with different guides.
Thanks to Lugignaf for the sig!

You know, I actually hate CotC on Sion as a keystone just because of how much easier he is to dodge than most CC beasts out there. I just go Grasp of the Undying and pummel all the things <.<

I find it rather easy to proc late game with a point-blank Unstoppable Onslaught :P And yes, Sion's CC is rather unreliable, but if you do hit that knock-up, your shield will tip any trade you take in your favour. Moreover, CotC shields Soul Furnace, allowing you to reliable blow it up. I don't really like Grasp because of how useless it feels late game compared to CotC.

It really depends on how many times you proc Grasp in a teamfight. Sion has brutal amounts of HP and resistances (granted he'll deal less damage due to MRes), but the shield only works once every 30 seconds lategame vs grasp every 4 seconds. Have to agree CotC is great with point-blank ults but I feel that on him specifically Grasp is better in most lanephase scenarios and early-mid game.
I'll leave it down to preference :v

Agreed that it is really down to preference :P I really enjoy 40% CDR Sion, so in the middle of a teamfight, I seldom use basic attacks, therefore proccing Grasp >3 times would be a miracle. More often than not, I find myself using half-charged Decimating Smashes to peel for my damage dealers (if I am not one, lol) or Flash + Unstoppable Onslaughting that motherfuc***g Twitch before he kills my entire fkg team, lol.
In all seriousness though, as you said, both have their pros and cons, I just find CotC fits my playstyle the best :P
