Cursed Touch (PASSIVE)
Amumu Passive Ability
Introduction
Amumu was the first champ I mained and ist still my cute little baby <3
Enjoy and write helpful comments please :D
Watch this to understand his pathetic story :(
Cursed Touch (Passive)
Amumu's basic attacks cause 10% of all magic damage dealt to the target (before resists) to be dealt again as true damage. The Passive gives you a huge teamfight potential. Try to AA each nearby enemy Champion once, to get full potential of Cursed Touch. Note that your W refreshes the passive effect. |
Details
Bandage Toss (Q)
Throws a bandage to target location. If it hits an enemy unit, Amumu will pull himself to the enemy, stun them for 1 second, and deal 80 / 130 / 180 / 230 / 280 (+70% of ability power) magic damage. This is your gap closer and obviously your most important ganking skill! Notice, it's a skillshot. Use Bandage Toss for engaging and then save it up for catching low enemies, trying to disengage. |
Details
Despair (W)
Toggle: Nearby enemies take 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 magic damage plus 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 % (+1% per 100 ability power) of their maximum health each second. Ticks for half the damage every half-second. Despair refreshes Cursed Touch on all enemies hit. Despair will give you a nice teamfight potential and works extremely well with items like Liandry's Torment or Rylai's Crystal Scepter. |
Details
Tantrum (E)
Passive: Amumu takes 2 / 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 reduced damage from physical attacks. Active: Amumu deals 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 / 175 (+50% of ability power) magic damage to surrounding units. Each time Amumu is hit by an autoattack, the cooldown on Tantrum's active is reduced by 0.5 seconds. This ability counters attack-speed based champions (like Master Yi or Xin Zhao). It also makes it very easy to clear the Raptors. |
Details
Curse of the Sad Mummy (R)
Amumu entangles surrounding enemy units, rendering them unable to move or use basic attacks for 2 seconds, dealing 150 / 250 / 350 (+80% of ability power) magic damage to them upfront. Curse of the Sad Mummy applies Cursed Touch to enemies after the damage is dealt. This ability can change teamfights and the whole game. Don't cast it too early, nor too late! Wait until you are sure you will effect at least 4 to 3 enemies or when you have to protect yourself/allies! It has a very high cooldown. |

Runes
For Amumu, I've chosen the Resolve tree combined with Sorcery. It is obvious, that Amumu profits most of Resolve when going full tank and ist even very useful when you are trying some off tank sh*t. But the few extra AP of Sorcery are also really useful.

The keystone should be Aftershock or Guardian. Grasp of the Undying isn't really useful in jungle. I like Aftershock because it protects you from some burst damage (especially when you're ganking mid) and can add some needed extra damage aswell after that. |
|
You shouldn't take Bone Plating. Again, this is a rune, which is considered for poke lanes. It won't proc in your jungle! Therefore you can decide between Demolish or Font of Life. Because I recommend not to splitpush with Amumu and nearly always stay with your Team, you should go for Font of Life. It procs on all enemies (hopefully all 5) you're hitting with Curse of the Sad Mummy, which gives your Team some extra healing, which can decide between winning or losing an important teamfight. |
|
I always pick Conditioning for full tank Amumu because the extra flat resistances in early game are Pretty useful when you're going full tank and in late the 5% scaling is just great. But you can also think of Chrysalis when you want to go off tank. Looking at my (tanky) damage build, I have to say that some extra AP aren't that bad ^^ |
|
For a jungler, Unflinching is very cool, because you can easily proc it with your Smite (or Flash when you're very self-confident and don't mind your allies "signaling missing enemies"). Revitalize is useless because you have no shields (except you're going for Locket of the Iron Solari) or heals. |

I just love Celerity, especially in jungle. You will get a faster clear and more successful ganks. |
|
Waterwalking has such a great synergy with Celerity. Nothing left to say. |
Mainly you can decide between maxing Despair or Bandage Toss. Most People are going for Bandage Toss because they want to reduce ist cooldown. I think, Tantrum will be more effective for your jungle clear. If you have played Amumu a few times, you should also be able to handle the high cooldown of Bandage Toss in laning phase.
Therefore, I max Bandage Toss second. It grants you lower cooldown, which is needed because you have no mobility without Bandage Toss.
I think it's obvious, that you skill Curse of the Sad Mummy whenever you can ;)
If you want to gank.
If you want your farm.
I mainly start at Blue Sentinel, to get Crest of Insight. Then I usually do Gromp and after this, I have to decide wether I take the rest of my jungle or start ganking.
Only start ganking, if you see some real opportunities, to do a successful gank. If all lanes are pushed or your allies are pretty weak, go for the rest of your jungle.
I made two videos of the safe jungle clear for better understanding :) They are from Season 7 but - for Amumu - Nothing really changed yet.
