Choose Champion Build:
Spells:
Ignite
Flash
Ability Order
Hemorrhage (PASSIVE)
Darius Passive Ability
Intro
Most games have ended by the 20 minute mark.
Pros
Insane early pressure
Great Farming through Decimate
Great ganks from Apprehend, Crippling Strike and move speed passive Hemorrhage.
True Damage through Noxian Guillotine
Passive armour pen! Apprehend
Dots! Hemorrhage
Cons
Your Decimate harass often causes you to push lane early on, making you very vunerable to early ganks.
No escape
Can have slight mana problems in teamfights after many Noxian Guillotine
Often focused
Squishy if not built tanky
I take Ignite, Flash.
_____
Ignite I take Ignite because combined with your ulti you can easily one shot champions from half health. It also counters many tops such as Dr. Mundo |
Flash Flash is very good for getting you just in range for the clutch ulti. It makes tower diving easy as pie and is excellent for escaping. |
_____
Other choices
Ghost Ghost Good but I think that your increased movement speed passive, Crippling Strike, Apprehend and Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed, really make it not needed. In my eyes, flash is better. |
Exhaust Exhaust Very strong spell, good for securing ganks, can help you escape and can easily turn the tide of a duel. If no one else on your team has it, take it if only to shut down the enemy ad carry in team fights. |
Runes
Greater Mark of Attack Damage because you already have passive armour pen percentage and for a stronger early game.
Greater Seal of Armor for the early game tankiness and survivability you will need.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist blues because no other runes are really any good and you will need the late game tankiness.
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed, for he same reason you go boots and pots, better ganks, better escapes, better harass.
Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage These can also work, but movespeed quints suit my aggressive playstyle more.
Don't use armour pen runes.
I go with the defensive mastery, for the early game tankiness and sustain that allows you to seriously harass the enemy champion.
You will also need the survivability and reduced cc from Juggernaut in team fights, as you will most likely be focused down and cced fairly frequently, due to your great teamfight presence from your q and ulti.
Resistance and Hardiness for early game durability.
Vigor For early game sustain.
Durability For late game tankiness
Veteran's Scars is a strong boost to my early game.
Initiator because move speed is always good.
Englightenment Because I dont take any c/d items and it helps your q a little.
Juggernaut Is that extra health and reduced cc that is so important in teamfights.
Summoner's Wrath 5 free ad? Better than anything else you can get.
Brute Force Early game harass
Alacrity To get Weapon Expertise
If you just want to do more damage then this can work but you will be killed and cced much easier.
Executioner Synergies well with Noxian Guillotine however.

Q>W>E>Q>R Everything is dead!
Hemorrhage Very strong early on, make as much use of it as you can.
Decimate Great harass. Great Farming. When harassing try to hit the enemy champion at the max range for the extra %50 damage.
Crippling Strike Great burst and slow. Also great for quickly killing towers.
Apprehend Great for killing enemies on tower, getting enemies off their tower, initiating, chasing and saving your precious carries.
Noxian Guillotine Huge burst, no cooldown, true damage, gap closer. What more could you want? When using this ensure that you have 5 stack of Hemorrhage on your opponent for maximum damage.
Slight warning though, with this build using Noxian Guillotine 2-3 times in a team fight will usually will oom you fast, so maybe let the Ashe finish off that Alistar and save your mana for the tasty Xin Zhao comming your way.
At level one go in with a Decimate, making sure to hit the enemy champion at max range to make use of the extra %50 damage. Then go in and auto attack them until they run too far into creeps.
This alone should half health them. If they run away after 2 or so auto attacks this is prefect because you already have the increased move speed from your passive and can easily land a couple more attacks on them for free. All the while your Hemorrhage is ticking away. Decimate them at max range as you walk away, to solidify you early lead!
Depending on their jungle this is where you must play carefully. If their jungle is a common level 2 ganker such as Maokai or Alistar then make sure to play safe, you cannout let yourself fall behind.
Keep harassing and last hitting, till they are on about 1/3 health then Decimate, Crippling Strike, Apprehend, Ignite, Decimate and secure an early kill.
When your jungle is comming in for a gank, do not initiate with Apprehend hit on their a little and wait until they start running before you use it. Also, do not be afraid to use your Noxian Guillotine as a gap closer when needed, because whilst having no cooldown is nice, a kill is better.
If you are finding that you are getting zoned, you should use your Apprehend to pull minions closer to tower and use Decimate to last hit. You can also consider buy a Heart of Gold early or even a Nomad's Medallion if you are seriously falling behind.
When your jungle comes to ganks initiate before the jungle arrives in order to divert their attention from the mini map, and to get your passive up. Start with your Q and W, wait to use your E until they enemy champ has started running.

Darius is very strong in mid game ganks, the aoe damage from your Decimate and the insane burst from your Noxian Guillotine, that you can do over and over, means that you can quickly turn fights into your favour. And your abilities mean running is not an option!
Darius can also push towers very well, due to his great clearing from Decimate and the extra damage he does to towers using his Crippling Strike.
Until you get your Phage you must realise that you are not that tanky and not dive into dodgy situations, if you get behind it can be very hard to pull it back.

You should be behind your tank in fights, but if you see an opportunity to Apprehend their out of position ad carry do it.
You are a brusier your job is to kill their carries whilst keeping yours alive.
Try to focus their squishy targets but if you notice your carry being destroyed by a stray Gangplank, a simple Apprehend can easily save their life.

See top for builds:
Build 1 is the rough build to go for vs a balanced team.
Build 2 is for when you are against a team with a lot of AD champions.
Build 3 is for when you are against a team with a lot of AP champions.
Build 4 is for a much more passive lane early game.
Boots and 3 Health Potion, for heavy early pressure from your passive and Decimate. Better ganks and easier escapes.
Cloth Armor into a a Wriggle's Lantern if you are expecting to play a more passive farm lane early game, in which case may be better than Doran's Blade.
Sight Wards are crazy important for Darius as your Decimate harass will regularly push the lane.
Health Potions are also very important as you have no sustain, always buy 2-3 when you b.
Double Doran's Blade is to snowball you lane early on and provide some nice survivability.
If im laning vs Ad ill buy a Phage because by this point I almost always have at least one or 2 kills and this just makes it impossible for your laning opponent to farm without taking huge damage from your harass.
If laning vs Ap buy a Hexdrinker before Phage because simply put it is a great item.
After Phage build an Atma's Impaler as you will already have a large amount of health from double Doran's Blade and Phage.
Atma's Impaler is a strong cost efficient item that is great in the mid game, and even better when laning against AD as you will other be in top lane. And is even better after you buy your Frozen Mallet and finish your Randuin's Omen.
I like to build into a Frozen Mallet next for the tankiness and hard slow, it also makes your atma's even stronger.
You could build a Trinity Force if you are feeling tanky enough.
After this point the build you decide to go varies completely on their team composition, if they have many high attack speed AD such as Master Yi build a Frozen Heart or Randuin's Omen (the active is extremly usefull and combined with your increased movement speed passive, Crippling Strike and your Apprehend no one will ever get away from you, or onto your carries) or even a Thornmail if you are getting heavily focused.
If you built a Trinity Force instead of a Frozen Mallet consider building a Warmog's Armor for some tankiness.
If they have 2 ap champions, finish your Maw of Malmortius
Build a Banshee's Veil teams with heavy cc or bursty long cooldown AP champions Ashe, Sion, Karthus, LeBlanc.
Got good tanks and strong cc? Build a Bloodthirster for great damage and much appreciated life steal.
Enemy team building lots of armour? Buy a Last Whisper and watch their precious armour fade away.
