Story

When the prophet Malzahar was reborn in Icathia, he was led there by an ominous voice which thereafter anchored itself to his psyche. From within, this voice bestowed upon him terrible purpose, and though Malzahar was no longer tormented by its call, the voice did not cease its unrelenting summons. This baleful beacon's gentle flicker -- now fastened to Runeterra -- drew forth a putrid beast that ambled across a threshold it did not understand, widening a fissure between the spaces which were never meant to meet. There amongst the haunting ruins of Icathia, Kog'Maw manifested in Valoran with unsettling curiosity. The spark which led him to Runeterra teased him still, urging him gently towards Malzahar. It also encouraged him to familiarize himself with his new environment, to the stark horror of everything he encountered on his journey.

The enchanting colors and aromas of Runeterra intoxicated Kog'Maw, and he explored the fruits of the strange world the only way he knew how: by devouring them. At first he sampled only the wild flora and fauna he happened across. As he traversed the parched Tempest Flats, however, he came upon a tribe of nomads. Seemingly unhampered by conventional rules of physics, Kog'Maw consumed every nomad and any obstacles they put in his way, amounting to many times his own mass and volume. The most composed of his victims may have had time to wonder if this was due to the caustic enzymes which stung the ground as they dripped from his gaping mouth, although such musings were abruptly concluded. When his wake of catastrophe reached the Institute of War, an enthusiastic Malzahar greeted him with an enticing prospect: taste the best Runeterra could offer...on the Fields of Justice.

Farming

Void Ooze and Living Artillery make a great combination in farming minions.

Your Void Ooze and Living Artillery can be great harassing tools, fire off your Living Artillery and then fire off your Void Ooze, try and do it really quickly so the Living Artillery hits as the same time as the Void Ooze.

Skills

Caustic Spittle - Basically you on cast you take away armour and deal damage to them, its Passive is very useful to kog maw, it increases your attack speed by a fair bit.

Bio-Arcane Barrage - Very good and very OP combined with your madred's bloodrazor you will take away 10% of their maximum health and with your Malady you will take away their magic resistance so you'll do even more damage :D.

Void Ooze - Kog Maw vomits on the ground making void ooze it deals damage to enemies and slows enemies who walk over it.

Living Artillery - Kog' maws final ability and best ability. This move has insane range and is used to chasing and killing enemies from a very long distance you basically place the living artillery infront of your target and they will run into it although if they,ve used ghost you may need to place it a bit further away.

Icathian Surprise - Upon dying, Kog'Maw starts a chain reaction in his body which causes him to move faster and detonate after 4 seconds; dealing 100 + (25 x lvl) true damage to surrounding enemies.

Skill Sequence

E-W-Q-R. I lov kog maw especially his abilities he's used to mostly kill tanks and such but he can also kill enemy melee champions before they even get to him, basically you slow them before they come then use your Bio-Arcane Barrage and you will decimate them in seconds combined with your living artillery you should be able to chase them down if they escape with some health.

Team Fights

First of all stay behind your tank i see too many kog maw's coming in before they're tank. You want to stay behind your tank because you are very squishy and will be killed very quickly. because of the range of kog maws abilities you will be able to bombard them with your abilities without them even seeing you. Your living artillery is your best friend remember to check the brushes when their whole team is missing, it could help your team locate and be able to get the first attack on. Also don't stray too far from your teammates you are very slow and may be able to get picked off if you are too far behind your teammates.

Items

Core

Doran's Blade - Good starting item gives you some survivability and a tad bit of damage and lifesteal. you could want to change this for a madred's razor if you really want to.

Sorcerer's Shoes - 20 magic penetration can pretty much help all of your skills to that little bit more damage.

Madred's Bloodrazor - totally OP combined with kogs W skill can take away 10% of their health each hit.

Malady - Great item combined with madred's and your W skill you will destroy them.

Rod of Ages - Now Kog Maw NEEDS survivability otherwise you will go squish in team fights. This item will boost your health quite a bit plus giving you extra mana and ability power.

Sword of the Divine - best AS item in the game, although i only recommend it because of its passive you will do extra 100 magic damage on your fourth strike and because of your AS will be very high you will get that extremely quickly.

Void Staff - Bloody good item about now you will pretty much go through ALOT of their magic resist and will be doing insane damage with all of your abilities.

Also remember to use your elixirs many people forget about them.

Situational Items

Wit's End - If they're is a high number of mages on their team you should grab this item combined with your W it will do 42 bonus magic damage. You can switch this for your Nashor's Tooth for this item.

Phantom Dancer - very good attack speed and movement speed, you can get this item if you are incredibly slow and would like to be able to get away from enemies chasing you down.

Trinity Force - Pretty much an all around item that gives you basically everything. Can be good if you want the chance for slow and some extra movement speed.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter - Can be good for the slow and all but i think its more worth it to go for the RoA. Especially when getting the RoA you will be getting around 630 health if you get it early enough due to its passive.

Frozen Mallet - If your hurting for survivability than you should probably get this item it can also be used to replace the RoA if you really want to.
