Hello, readers! This is my first guide, and quite frankly one of my mains. Since the Ranked reset for Season 5, I am a Bronze 4 player who is quickly scaling the ladder, and figured it would be fun to post a guide... even though it might not get much popularity.

So! Kha'Zix mid; not in the meta, but VERY strong. Even when not fed, there are lots of ways to be useful and regain ground to become fed. If you're reading this, kudos!

Standard runes and masteries, IMO. You can take scaling AD marks if you want, but his damage is already powerful late game, and getting the damage earlier helps getting more fed. Masteries can be changed to whatever you feel comfortable.

Items are kind of self-explanatory, but I'll run through them anyway. You definitely always want to start with a long sword, because as an assassin you want to get kills, not soak damage like you would with a cloth armor start. You may start with doran's blade, but you won't build into the brutalzer very quickly.

After building the core, you have options as to what you can build next. Losing lane? Build tanky. Winning it? Build more AD. It all depends on the game, but go with your gut-feeling.

I highly recommend Flash and Ignite.

Flash for Mobility

Ignite for Stronger Lane Dominance

Others:

Teleport: Useful, but not really needed if at least one person on your team takes it.

Ghost: Flash has better mobility, and your boots + E & R should be enough to escape or catch anyone.

Heal: Your W is a free heal. You don't need this.

Those are all my Kha'Zix Mid games that I have played in Season 5 so far. Most of them are ranked, but a few are norms~

Just to show that I'm not a fraud!

Kha'Zix is a VERY strong Midlaner. Though most don't know it, I do recommend giving it a try; it is extremely easy to get fed and snowball your team to victory. Even when you're not fed, you can do things to help your team and get to the point of being fed.

As one of my mains, I confirm that you will get flamed for this occasionally... especially in lower elo where people don't tolerate meta breaks.
