Request

If anyone who is good with linking pictures / making the guide more user friendly, I'd be happy to accept some assistance, especially the item's section, right now it's kind of TL;DR, and I'd like to get some item pics in at least. Anything to make this guide better is 100% welcome. I will keep it updated if any Ezreal/item changes happen.

1/21/2011 : Currently working on making the guide a little clear, adding details / pictures for easy reading, etc etc etc.

Turned off comment required to vote, didn't realize I had it on X-D

Introduction

Hello, and welcome to my AD Ezreal guide, this is the item / rune / mastery build that has served me well through many high-kill ranked games and total team carriage. I am terrible at coding so this is more of a bare-bones guide, no videos, no screenshots, no explanations, nothing fancy. See my request above. This is geared towards people who already have the Ezreal play style down, but are looking for a good build guide for him.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions on how to make it better, I would love to hear them. Constructive criticism is always welcome; good ideas will be taken in to consideration and if enough people ask I suppose I'll write a damned explanation on how to play him.

Runes

Marks - Greater Mark of Desolation, Armor pen is the best for AD champs and will make you an early threat and keep you a threat through the game.

Seals - Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration, Ezreal is a very mana-hungry champ and these will help keep you in lane longer till your tear / manamune are more charged.

Glyphs - Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction, more cool down reduction = more Q spamming for heavy damage, more W's to slow your opponents/assist your teammates (especially other AD carries), more escapes from your E, more laughable across-the-map kills from your R.

Quintessences - Greater Quintessence of Desolation, same as your marks, more early/late game presence.

Summoner Spells

I personally use Ignite / Flash. Ignite is great for getting the edge on a fight, securing a kill early game, or cancelling out annoying Mundo's / Healers. If you'd prefer, you could swap out ignite for exhaust and get fairly similar results.

I like having flash because it gives me either 2 jumps (Your E as well) to really keep range / close the range on someone, or quickly get way out of a bad situation. I could see Ghost taking its place if you don't want flash, but get slowed = get dead.

Masteries

A standard 21/0/9 build, I find no use for Archaic Knowledge since most of damage is coming from my Q and my auto attack, both physical. Offensive Mastery is great for farming / last hitting minions early game, but if you think you are a very accomplished last-hitter you are free to move them elsewhere. One point in Utility Mastery is great when you start getting a hold of Red Lizard Buff, which greatly enhances your already deadly killing power.

Skill Sequence

Of course, get your Ultimate at 6, 11, and 16. No brainer there.

Your Q is most of your damage, so this is your skilling priority, have this maxed by level 9.

When you can't get your Q, get your E, lower cool down on a flash / little extra damage burst is great.

I personally do not get any ranks in to W because frankly it costs too much mana and is not worth using till late game to add to your burst, but since we are not AP it's negligible.

Items

Quick-look build sequence

Optional 6th item depending on situation:

Your starting items should be a Doran's Blade and a Health Pot. This makes you a good candidate for a first blood, makes last hitting easier, and gives you a bit of staying power via lifesteal.

Next, grab another Doran's Blade, boots, and a tear, in whichever order is necessary.
Need more killing power? Dorans.
Need more speed to harass/get out of ganks? Boots.
Running oom often? Tear first.

Dorans can be sold at any time you deem necessary, but I'd wait till you need the inventory space for a higher-tier item, they are very nice to have handy.

After, you want to finish your tear in to a Manamune, and finish your boots in to Ionian Boots of Lucidity, since no other cooldown reduction is in this build other than your glyphs, this will give you plenty of reduction time on your skills.

At this point you should be packing 2 Dorans, Lucidity Boots, and a Manumune.

Next on this list is a sheen, this applies as soon as your Q leaves your hand and takes effect upon hitting them, making your Q do double the damage! This is absolutely invaluable, you should really be taking off as a strong AD carry after you pick this baby up.

After, build your sheen in to a Trinity force, making your Q hit 2.5x as hard (as well as all the other great stats on this baby.) Grab phage if you want to slow them first, zeal if you want to move faster / hit a bit harder with some lucky crits. P

Personally, if I get close to 1850 gold then I'll pickup a BF sword before finish my trinity force (but not before I get my sheen.) You might be looking to sell your dorans around this point.

Next up is an Infinity Edge, this is going to make your crits hit up to 1,000 on creeps, 700 on slightly armored targets, make your Q hit much harder, etc etc, can't say how good this thing is.

Next, it should be getting a bit later in the game, pickup a Frozen Mallet for a guaranteed slow on your Q / auto attack and some much needed survivability in the form of health.

By this time if your team is playing well, your probably gonna win, I rarely get anything after my Frozen Mallet, let alone even finish my Frozen Mallet. At this point, you have multiple options.

-Guardian Angel, an all around good defensive item against AD and AP champs, and revive + flash + flash can get you away safely (Though with all 5 champs corpse camping you, you're most likely boned so I don't rely on this.)

-Banshee's Veil is great if the team/ the one bastard getting all the kills on you is a nasty AP champ.

- Last Whisper / Black Cleaver - If you are absolutely dominating the other team and have no fear of dieing, then you can pick up another offensive item to drive the final nail in the coffin, but if you've been doing well you shouldn't even be picking up a 5'th / 6'th item. These will help you cut through any champ and do some nice almost-pure damage.

Summary

I love Ezreal, hopefully this guide will make you love him too. Enjoy your time playing him, he's really one of the most complex / fun champs I play on a regular basis.
