Introduction to The Grand Duelist...
Fiora is a very high damage champion, but she is mechanically challenged so if your brand spanking new to the game i suggest not playing her until you have some experience. But i mean go for it if you want to anyways XD.
Fiora can go tanky, or she can build like a bruiser. She has many build options but the best is a hybrid of the 2 types that she can build.
Although she is a strong and very fun champion, Fiora is HIGHLY mechanical. So before you know anything about mechanics, try out some easier champs and THEN start playing Fiora.
There are certain match ups like Poppy and Pantheon that Fiora just isn't good against. So in those situations, just choose another champion to play than Fiora.

Fiora normally, and usually only starts with Doran's Blade and Health Potion with a Stealth Ward. But sometimes, if you feel like you need it much faster like against Yasuo, you can get Long Sword, Refillable Potion , and Stealth Ward.
Fiora has 3 items that she gets as her 1st, 2nd, and situationally 3rd item. These include Phage , Tiamat , and Hexdrinker
These 3 items are usually a necessity to have in your item build, that is with the exception of Hexdrinker because you only get this if your fighting Garen or any AP top laner. This includes Lissandra , Teemo , Fizz , Rumble , Ryze , Brand , and much more.
Now that we have all of that down, we can begin talking about her build(s) and why the items in the build help Fiora.
In build #1 above Fiora is built as a tank. Since Tiamat is an essential item on Fiora, to go a little tankier we build Titanic Hydra. Next before building another item, we finish our boots, which would be either Mercury's Treads or Ninja Tabi. This gives Fiora the tankiness she needs to survive ganks, and trades in the early game. Next start to build your Trinity Force, this gives Fiora more health and damage. After that, based on who you're fighting, build Dead Man's Plate or Spirit Visage. Fiora now has all of the tankiness she needs and for her final 2 items can build either more tankiness, more damage, or a hybrid of both. My favorite combination is Bloodthirster and Warmog's Armor.
In build #2 Fiora is still tanky, but instead builds a lot more lifesteal and damage than health and resistances. Instead of Tiamat building into Titanic Hydra, your Tiamat will build into Ravenous Hydra. After this build your Ionian Boots of Lucidity and then Trinity Force. The next step is to buy Dead Man's Plate or Spirit Visage. Then for your final 2 items, instead of Warmog's Armor you build Guardian Angel, but you do still build Bloodthirster.

Fiora has good poke in the early game. especially when your passive Duelist's Dance is up.
Fiora has not one but two auto resets. These are her Q Lunge and her E Bladework. So for a trade you could Q - E - AA - AA. and when you have Tiamat you can do Q - E - AA - Tiamat - AA, and get up to 3-4 auto attacks worth of damage in the time it takes you to do 2 auto attacks.
On top of your passive trades like this will definitely help.

Pre-6 Fiora's kill pressure isn't as high as people think it is. In order to do some damage that will leave a mark pre-6 you'd have to parry a cc/stun and then get some damage off on the enemy while they are immobile.
But after lvl 6 her kill potential SKY ROCKETS. with the trade advice above on top of what damage your ulti does on Fiora, they will go crying all the way home.
So basically, make trades as much as you can, but wait until they overextend and you hit 6. Because in that moment they really ARE in trouble.

Fiora has an extremely strong late game, so make sure that you don't feed that much because if you do, you aren't gonna have a fun time in team fights. But if you don't and you have enough items, you can do some serious damage to the enemy team.
My suggestion is if they have a tank that is a bigger threat than either the ADC or another Tank. Is to ult that tank, and have your team help kill the person you ulted, AND the rest of the team. AND MAKE SURE TO HIT THE VITALS ON YOUR ULTIMATE. The more you hit, the more healing you get from your ult.
But just keep doing stuff like ulting the ADC or the jgler, and killing them off first and you should be fine.
