Introduction

Hello and welcome to my first build. In this I will show you how I play Gangplank. I will be making this on my iPad so please tell me if it decided to make any stupid auto corrects without me noticing. And as most of you noticed I put too many items than you can have at one time. Gasp! Please read the guide. It will make since after. Also try the guide then vote. Enjoy!

ATTENTION! Gangplank will be reciving some changes in the near future. I plan on changing the build accordingy when the patch drops.

Runes

Greater Mark of Desolation
Greater Mark of Desolation is very useful on almost any AD champion. It gives you the ability to exput more damage eary game and makes you crit even harder.

Greater Seal of Replenishment
Greater Seal of Replenishment is a set of runes that I desperately need to buy. This is extremely helpful early game, letting you spam your abilities.

Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction is essential on Gangplank. With a big chunck of damage coming from Parrrley and a long cooldown on Remove Scurvy shortening these cooldowns is crucial. You do not want to die because or let someone get away because of cooldowns.

Greater Quintessence of Desolation
Same thing and Greater Mark of Desolation. If you are feeling too squishy Greater Quintessence of Health works fine.

Items

I start off each game with Regrowth Pendant and a mana potion. This will give you the survivability that you will need early game to stay in your lane. While laneing make sure to conserve your mana. You only have one potions so use it wisely.

Next time back buy Philosopher's Stone and Avarice Blade. With the health and mana regen with the crit chance you are ready to start being useful. And if possible buy Ionian Boots of Lucidity for even more cooldown reduction. Now you may have noticed why this build is called Gangplank the money maker. With Greed from the utility mastery tree you will be making bank! Also if you have the mana make sure to last hit with Parrrley. It gives bonus gold for killing blows.

After buying boots save up for Zeal and B.F. Sword for more crit and needed damage. From there buy Infinity Edge. This Gangplanks main item giving him the damage and crit he needs. Next buy Sheen. This gives you some ap for your Cannon Barrage and Remove Scurvy as well as some mana. But most mainly because it greatly increases your damage output. Now you must decide wether to sell Philosopher's Stone or Avarise Blade. This is personal preference so just sell the item you feel you need less. Next build Pahntom Dancer from the Zeal. This will give up extra crit and movement speed to keep in range of your enemies. Next buy Trinity Force which gives all stats that you need. Finally get Bloodthirster giving you some lifesteal and lots of damage.

Lastly you have a few choices for a 6th item.

Guardian Angel- This gives you armor and magic resist plus an awsome passive that can turn the tides in a team fight. Just remember to heal after coming back to life.

Banshee's Veil- This gives you extra health, mana and magic resist. Think about getting this agiant AP heavy teams.

Last Whisper- This gives a god amount of damage and armor penetration for tanky teams.

Youmuu's Ghostblade- Is a nice item with some more crit, armor penetration and cooldown reduction.

Spirit Visage- Could be a viable item but other items seem more useful.

Frozen Mallet- Gives good amount of health and a slow but kind of an overkill because of Trinity Force.

Executioner's Calling- This gives some more crit and lifesteal but it better early game than late.

Skill Sequence

Cannon Barrage > Parrrley > Remove Scurvy > Raise Morale

Alway train your ultimate, Cannon Barrage when you have the chance. You will want to max out Parrrley next to maximize your damage. Then train Remove Scurvy to get the most out of your heal. Lastly train Raise Morale but make sure to put a point I. It at level four so you can deny you enemies of their experience.

Summoner Spells

To me summoner spells are mostly personal preference but here are somenthat I use.

This is great for getting away from ganks and I even use it sometimes to catch up to the action.

This is good for additional damage early game and stops healers or people with lifesteal but by late game it has little use.

Same use as Ghost. And can be used to get over walls.

This is nice on Gangplank because he lacks and crowd control. This could give you time to catch up to someone or to stay in range to finish them off.

I have seen some Gangplanks with this but I prefer a more offensive spell. Also with the mana regen runes you should have no problem keeping your mana up.

Summary

Thakns for reading my build and here are a few last tips for playing Gangplank.
-both reda and blue buffs are great. Take them if you don't have a jungler
-use your ult to stop people from attacking towers
-your heal also as a cleanse so save it for that annoying Sion stun
-try not to spam you abilities early game
-and have fun playing Gangplank
