Introduction
Im not the best at english, but i hope people are able to understand the guide :)
IMPORTANCE

This guide will not make you unkillable, Irelia can be hard to master and need training to do so. This is just a guide on how i play her. the items can change, depending on the other team.
CORE!!!:

Great for the Hp regen early game. combined with runes and masteries, you will have insane hp regen, and if you really get screwed and need to back, then you got teleport. but then again you are Irelia, right?
Philosopher's Stone
Great for the Mana regen that Irelia needs early game. just makes your laning, SO much easier.
CORE!! Not saying you need to get these boots. just shines with it. the armor and dodge can be used too, depends on the other teams.
Great item for only 1800 gold, extra MR, Damage and a shield that absorbs 300 magic damage. sell it lategame, for better items
CORE!!. it will boost irelia's attack, SO much, if you can then get it before Hexdrinker.
I DID NOT DIE!! Really important it will make you really tanky, and give you a free revive when you die.
920 Health, 45 Health Per 5 Sec. Passive: Permanently gain 4.5 health and .15 health regen per 5 sec per minion kill. Great passive will give you 450 extra hp, to a maximum of 1370.
Take this if the enemy team is based of a lot of magic damage
i take this in 50% of my games, a very good item.

Others:
Often overlooked, gives 18 Armor, 270 Health, 24 Magic Resist. +12 Armor / +15 Magic Resistance / +8 Damage to nearby allied champions.
30 dmg, 15 crit, 15 cd, and 20 armor penetration, plus you can activate it to give 20% 137movement speed, and 50% attack speed.
75 Armor, 350 Health, 25 Health Per 5 Sec, 5% Cooldown Reduction and 20% chance on being hit to slow the attacker's movement and attack speed by 35% for 3 seconds.. UNIQUE active Slows movement speeds and attack speeds of surrounding units by 35% for 2 seconds + 0.5 seconds for each 100 Armor and Magic Resist.. GODLIKE
Great against ad teams

If i havent said it yet, you should always be at the top lane, that is were you shine, and the extra armor early game is really good.
Others:
Can be used, but i always liked armor more.

Greater Quintessence of Vigor Truly genius early game, combined either with a Doran's Shield or a Regrowth Pendant, you got amazing Health Regen.
Others:
Seen many people use this, really good, gives a lot of hp, but i like the Hp regen instead, but would probaly be better against a nuker, since the hp regen will regen to slow

Okay, with this build we first max W/Hilten style for the Health it gives us when we auto attack and the true damage it provides when used. the health when attacking, is better than life steal early game.
Next thing we max is E/Equilibrium Strike. If the target has a higher health % than irelia it will be stunned, if Irelia has a higher health % than her target it will get slowed.
last spell we max is Q/Bladesurge. it is your farming tool. if irelia kills minion it refreshes and the CD is reset, can be used to catch Enemy champions.
great for clearing lanes, getting your hp back and killing :D
Is so you can go back without losing time in the lane. great for top.
Great catching/escaping spell.

Use if you dont want flash.
Use it if you need to kill one of those lucky guys with 1% hp.
Could take it instead of Teleport
Could be used, depends on the other team.
Remember!! You are very tanky, and you deal a good amount of damage, but you can still die, even with guardian angel.
Now in a Team fight you focus their carry and their support. when all of those are death or have retreated you either have to fall back or push on. when you get a ACE you ALWAYS push, even with 1 hp, you just gotta be a bit carefull.

Okay, something that people need to learn is "last hitting" it means that you only attack the minions until they are down to a % of their health were you just auto attack them 1 time and then the minion is dead. if you dont last hit, you will push the lane into the enemy tower, and be in a position to be ganked. when you should push is when the enemy laner is back, then push the creeps into his tower so he loses the exp and gold, otherwise you only last hit.
Another idea is to, not destroy the enemy tower, when hes back in his base, instead let as many creeps get to his tower so he loses all the exp and gold.
So farming goes like this (in my head)
1-Getting Minion kills
2-Getting champion kills
3-Zoning the other champion
4-Getting his turret

Okay, warding is **** important, even if the rest of your team dont do it, that does not mean you should not be doing it either. Dragon and Baron should always be warded.Your text to link here... is a great guide about warding.
