Leona, the Radiant Dawn

On the upper slopes of Mount Targon, the warriors of Rakkor live and breathe only for war. However, Targon’s peak is reserved for a special group of Rakkor who answer to a “higher” calling. Members of this group, called the Solari, retire their mantles of war, choosing instead to devote their lives to reverence of the sun. According to legend, the Solari were formed by a warrior who could call the raw might of the sun down upon his enemies in combat. He claimed Mount Targon’s summit, the point on Valoran closest to the sun, for his solar devotion, a tradition which generations of Solari have preserved to this day. Though they maintain their reverence, no other warrior possessed the gifts of the founder – until Leona.
Leona’s parents were traditional Rakkor, both bred for the heat of battle. To them, Leona was a problem child. She was capable of fighting as fiercely as any other – including her childhood friend, Pantheon – but she did not share their zeal for killing. She believed that the true worth of a soldier lay in her ability to defend and protect. When it came time for her Rite of Kor, a ceremony in which two Rakkor teens battle to the death for the right to bear a relic-weapon, Leona refused to fight. For this, the Rakkor leaders ordered her execution, but when they tried to strike the fatal blow, sunlight burst forth, bathing Mount Targon in light. As it faded, Leona stood unharmed and her executioners lay unconscious around her. The Solari immediately claimed Leona, demanding that her sentence be repealed. She donned the golden armor of the Solari and they bestowed upon her the sword and shield passed down from the ancient sun-warrior of legend. The Solari helped Leona focus her abilities, and when she was ready she left to join the League of Legends.

Hi, this is my first guide on mobafire. Hope it's good. Well, it worked well on me so far.

As a tank, your build is not like usual carry champs that are always the same. You need to alter it a little bit depending on your enemies.

The reason why I build lots of health is because I tried the other standard tank build. Those doesn't really work. Those items make Leona squishy. Squishy? A tank is squishy?

I used 0/18/12 because I want Leona to do better in the early game so a little bit of armor and some damage reduction from the minions are pretty helpful. And also I found Leona is really lack of mana. That's why 12 points are in Utility.

This build is to maximize the health of Leona. In order to get some of the armor and magic resistance back due to this build, runes are pretty good choices.

For this build, I stack for the SUPER high health. The good thing about Warmog's Armor is that you don't loose stacks if you die. And your health regen is amazingly high.

People ask why I dont build any armor or magic resist. It is because I see how the armor and MR grow themselves as Leona levels up and also her skill which gives 70 armor and magic resist for a short time.

But be cautious when there is a champion that deals more damage as your health gets higher. champions like or .

When you see them, please change your build. Build for , build for or if your enemy has lots of crowd control skills. At the same time, you don't build that many keep it at 2 and build some other things like for the revive, for removing the defuff, or for the cd reduction and the great active skill to chase the enemy.

Other situations like enemies building . When this happens, just build a and it's fine. Shouldn't be a big problem.

I choose just because I can get to my ally faster and because it is necessary for emergency.

take this skill to ks some of your allies LOL. Just kidding. You use this to start the fight when there's a scary life steal champ like or .
you can use this to chase down an enemy when all of your stun skills are in CD. But this one doesn't really recommend.
Of course, you use this to escape, chase, or get to your allies faster.

yea, use this to check the people.
sometimes you might want to use this so you can get out of stuns and stun other people
sometimes you need to protect your torret? And it gives some extra damage for your early game

The NOT to choose

You have such a high health, this doesn't work
Of course, no one is using it. It's useless.
Samething, no one uses this
You don't jungle so don't choose this.

I max the for the great armor and MR it gives and also the early farming. And max for shorter CD on stunning people.

To start out a fight, I use and right after use to charge in, then use to stun the strongest carry champ in your enemy's team. And then use ultimate when all of your enemy's are almost in your skills range or when you find your allies are almost dead, stun the enemies with your ultimate.

has a really long range. You can use your ultimate to chase down enemies. But remember there is a brief delay before it actually stuns people, so place your ultimate in front of your enemies so they step in and get stunned.
