Hi, I'm Jtseng and I'm a League player trying to get out of bronze #thestruggleisreal, and this is my first build in awhile. There are many ways to build Darius, but this is the most stylish AP build you will ever see, and I hope you will enjoy the build.
Pros and Cons of Playing Darius
- Very good in lane
- His ult does true damage
- His passive deals a lot of damage over time
- He dunks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When you get dived, the Heal will give you some time to get stacks of Hemorrhage to prepare for your Noxian Guillotine AKA your dunk.
In team fights, if you get focused down by enemy cc like a Leona or silences like Fiddlesticks, Cleanse can get you out of those massive amounts of cc to be able to dunk the enemy team and scoring the PENTAKILL!
Maybe take some of these
Ignite deals that extra damage along with Hemorrhage ,along with the heal reduction, can finish off an enemy.
Flash is great for closing distances for your Apprehend to grab enemy squishies or enemy carries and DUNK THEM!!!!!!
You would take Ghost for the chasing or running speed, I prefer Flash over Ghost because you can use Flash to go over walls but Ghost is still pretty viable on Darius.
With the new cooldowns, Teleport is viable if your lane gets pushed because you went back to buy.

Greater Quintessence of Ability Power
Nine Greater Glyph of Ability Power gives you about 10 AP at the beginning and adding the 15 or so you get from Greater Quintessence of Ability Power and masteries will give you a decent amount of AP early game especially if you start with a Doran's Ring. This AP coupled with the Greater Mark of Magic Penetration should allow you to deal quite a bit of damage early game. The stats from Greater Seal of Armor should give you a decent amount of armor.
Info. About Skills
Hemorrhage (passive):Your main damage dealer other than your ult, does damage over time, and the magic penetration for this is very good.
Decimate(Q): Your main source of harass, try to hit enemy champion with the blade instead of the ax handle, does a lot of damage and turns around team fights at times.
Crippling Strike(W): Does extra damage on your next auto attack, scaling very well off of a Lich Bane and it's cooldown reduced with each stack of Hemorrhageon the target.
Apprehend(E):Your main setup for your dunk, pulls the enemy champs towards you, very useful to catch other champs out with also, its armor penetration from its passive is somewhat useful I guess.
The Moment You Have All Been Waiting For...
AKA THE DUNK, dealing true damage the only real counter to it is HP and even that can't save you from the 5 stacks of Hemorrhage plus this ultimate. That being said, it is extremely important to be sure to get the 5 stacks of Hemorrhage on as many enemy champions as you can so that you can be sure to do as much damage as possible. Also, if you execute the enemy champion with this, you can recast in the next 20 seconds, making your dunks 5 times more efficient if you can get the execute with it(assuming that your team peels for you xD).
Starting with a Doran's Ring and 2 Health Potions gives you a lot of sustain in lane and the extra 15 AP will be useful along with the mana regen.
Zhonya's gives you armor and AP, and is a great item on Darius because of it's passive which prevents you from being attacked or targeted. Also, a Zhonya's Hourglass is very important on Darius because it allows for him to time his Noxian Guillotine correctly.
Rabadon's passive increases your AP by 30% which is very significant once you get to late game. Also, Darius needs a hat to look stylish and a Rabadon's Deathcap will let him dunk with style.
A Lich Bane works very well with champions that have a skill that powers up there auto attacks like Leona's Shield of Daybreak and Darius's Crippling Strike is no exception to this. Also, double swords dunk better than a giant axe.
A Banner of Command rallies your team and minions around the flag, getting ready to peel for you so you can dunk.
Liandry's Torment is a really good item because of the percent health damage and the magic penetration, which when added to Hemorrhage, can do some serious damage, and besides, Liandry's Torment is a cool looking mask which when worn together with Rabadon's Deathcap will look very good on your Darius.
A Deathfire Grasp helps you burst down an enemy carry much faster with it's active which deals 15% of the enemy's health as magic damage, and it gives Darius another hand to dunk with.
A pair of boots never hurts and a Sorcerer's Shoes not only gives you the movement speed but the magic pen to make your passive Hemorrhage hurt more.
When dunking gets too tiring, you need to remain hydrated and the Athene's Unholy Grail will rehydrate you with enough mana.
A ROA will help give you enough HP to be able to take a few hits and building stacks of Hemorrhage on the enemy backline to prepare for your DUNKS!!!!!
The Magic Resist and the armor penetration from it are very good on Darius.
The extra health and AP along with the slow it gives will give you an edge to catch enemies.
With farming on Darius, Decimate is your best ability, as it stacks Hemorrhage which will deal extra damage per second getting your CS up if your Decimate brings the enemy minions health down and it's also great for pushing lanes and wave clearing, as it will finish them off (assuming your minions don't steal the kill). Now, for the tank minions, your Crippling Strike works well as the extra damage will be helpful for you to get the last hit on the minion.
For combos, I like to use Apprehend, then Crippling Strike, then Decimate when they try to get away (I recommend getting in a few basic attacks), then finally use Noxian Guillotine to finish them off.
When you start in-lane, depending on who you are up against you need to decide whether you want to play passive or aggressive lane. If you are solo top, playing passive is good unless you ward for enemy jungler assuming they have a jungler as well. Always start with Decimate for nice farming and harassing abilities. When the laning phase ends and team fights start, you are an offtank, but if their enemy ADC or APC is in range of your Apprehend try to catch them with it so your team can focus them down.
So all in all, AP Darius is very OP and can easily carry games with his high damage output from his abilities(and obviously his dunk).
