Champion Build Guide
HELLO FELLAS
Welcome to my five minute guide to Kassadin. Don't expect that I will explain why you take which rune and when to build which item in this guide; I want everyone to be able to read this in five minutes or less so you are able to read it during champ select and loading screen if you want. Kassadin is an AP-mage-assassin mid laner with a very strong scaling into the late game.
Abilities
MAX ORDER:
vs ranged AP
Q > E > W
MAX ORDER:
vs ranged AD/melee AP
Three points Q > E > Q > W
MAX ORDER:
vs melee AD
E > Q > W
PASSIVE: Void Stone
Cooldown: --- - Mana Cost: --- Passively, Kassadin takes 15% reduced magic damage and ignores unit collision. This is one of the two reasons why you counter most AP champions. |
Q: Null Sphere
Cooldown: 11 - 9 seconds - Cost: 70 - 90 Mana Kassadin throws an orb on a targeted enemy, dealing 65 - 185 (70% AP) magic damage and interrupts channels (Anivia R, Teleport, Shen R, ...). Also, Kassadin gains a magic shield that absorbs 60 - 160 (30% AP) magic damage for 1.5 seconds. This ability is the second reason why you counter most AP champions: you gain a big magic shield, means you can poke them, but they can't poke you. |
W: Nether Blade
Cooldown: 7 seconds - Cost: 1 Mana Passively, Kassadin's basic attacks deal 20 (10% AP) bonus magic damage. When activated, Kassadin's next basic attack deals 70 - 170 (80% AP) bonus magic damage, gains 50 bonus range and restores 4 - 6% of his missing mana (quintupled against champions). Nether Blade can be used as an auto attack reset. This ability helps Kassadin with mana sustain, last hitting minions (especially under the turret) and dealing tons of damage. No really, this ability gives Kassadin so much burst, especially once he has Sheen. |
E: Force Pulse
Cooldown: 5 seconds - Cost: 60 - 80 Mana + requires 6 charges Passively, Kassadin gains a stack each time a nearby champion, including himself, uses an ability. At six stacks, Kassadin can cast Force Pulse. When activated, Kassadin deals 80 - 180 (80% AP) and slows all enemies hit by 50 - 90% for one second in a cone in the targeted direction. ULTIMATE: Riftwalk

Early, Mid and Late Game
EARLY GAME
Kassadin's early game totally depends on his matchup. Let's say you face a Zed. With Fleet,
MID GAME
You are pretty strong right now. If you farmed well, you should have your Core items and enough burst to oneshot squishies. Go for objectives, look for picks, focus on the game and never forget your win condition.
LATE GAME
AP Rakan is basically a oneshot machine in the late game. If you see an enemy squishy, just run at him W, Q, AA, ( Electrocute Proc), Hextech Protobelt, dead, if not even after just WQ. Defend your carries, CC the enemy team, look for picks, get the turrets and NEVER forget that don't kills win a game, objectives do.
