Introduction

Hello league players from around the world. Have you ever been looking for a champ that can solo top well? How bout a decent tank? How about 14% passive life steal? My love, my hope, and my main Nasus the curator of the sands is your... dog. Nasus is brawler like no other. There's just a catch... you, and I mean this in the up most sincerity, MUST farm his q . Keep reading and I will share what i can about Nasus, the curator of the sands.

Q farming

Now... before we get to anything else, lets start with the most important aspect of Nasus, his Q . His Q is named siphoning strike and is scaled of total AD (including base AD) and when it lands a killing blow on ANYTHING, the ability gains 3 bonus physical damage. (And when i say anything, i mean anything that can be attacked) So think of it this way... if you've been successfully farming your Q for 15-20 minutes, always assuming you've been last hitting minions, you can have 150-200 q farm. That means your hitting people for 300-400 damage. And if you get someone who's scared of you letting you farm away, you can even farm up 402 q farm (my personal record btw) and its just ridiculous. You are hitting 600 damage on turrets and people by roughly level 15. However, 200 q farm will also suffice in any game because your doing 400 damage every 4 sec. Its Nasus reason for being, that's why i take it at level 1 and max it as soon as possible

Skill explanation

Siphoning strike-(see above)
Wither- This skill is absolutely awesome. It ages the target slowing their movement and attack speed starting always at a 35% percent slow. But the sweet thing that happens is over 5 seconds, is that slow increases. Maxed... the skill will slow the target by 95%! Being an epic slow i max this skill 2nd
Spirit fire- This skill is sweet. In a target area Nasus puts down a ring that causes magic damage to any target in the ring. Additionally, standing in the ring will cause enemies to take magic damage and have deduced armor. It's an awesome skill, but its hard to use sometimes, and its not THAT necessary to Nasus, but its good to have. I do however max this skill last.
Fury of the Sands- Now this skill can be hard to understand, here's the basic gist of it. Nasus becomes empowered in the sandstorm for 15 seconds, gaining extra health. While the storm rages, he drains a percentage of nearby enemies max health each second (max of 240 magic damage per second per enemy) and converts 6.375% of the damage done into bonus attack damage for himself until the sandstorm wears off. Its extremely helpful to have. It can save your life time and time again and also make tower diving possible which is why i take it when ever possible.

strategies (basic)

People find Nasus e to be worthless, when in fact, it is quite useful. At max level, the ability reduces all enemies armor that are standing in it by 40. As almost insignificant to tanks, 40 armor is roughly the amount an adc will have, making them that much easier to kill. Also the ring is somewhat hard to see in a team fight, and wont really worry about it because of the small damage it does, where in fact, it does more than they think

As sustaining as Nasus' passive can be, I DO NOT recommend trying to lean on it in a gank. However, if your q is farmed, then it might be ok to engage, just make sure you have a team at your back!

Nasus becomes stronger the longer laning phase goes. So if you can ask your teammates to refrain from damaging towers to less than half health, that'll give you time to get 150-200 q farm. (depending on the enemy)

DO NOT spam your W and E abilities early game. Your W should ONLY be used when you are ganking, getting ganked, or SURE you can kill someone solo.

If mid doesn't need or want blue buff and you are on blue team, ask your jungler if you can have it, the CD reduction and mana regen will allow you to spam your Q and mass up minion farm. Also, after a successful gank, you and your jungler can try and steal the blue teams blue buff if you are on purple.

In late game, always save your slow for the adc in a teamfight. It doesn't matter if you think you can secure a kill, if the adc pops outta nowhere with the rest of his team, that 15 sec cd on wither is going to be a loooooong wait and may even cost your team a team fight.

Reasoning behind elixirs and summoner heals

Summoner heal on a top character and red elixir on tank Nasus may seem stupid and like a waste of money, but it isn't. Nasus is possibly the strongest counter diver in the game, due to his slow, passive life steal, and ultimate that gives him 300 health at level one. Now consider the following, your against, oh say, Olaf top. He is level 8 with 86 cs and you being somewhat zoned, just hit level 7 and have 72 cs and are at 1/2 health. It's painfully clear who has the advantage here. You come up to farm a minion or 2, then out of nowhere, out of nothing, Jarvan throws his standard and knocks you up. causing you to panic flash into range of your tower. Olaf Ghosts and starts attacking you, and as you hear Jarvan scream DAMACIA! you realize all hope is lost. Then you realize, and without thinking, you push 1, R, and D. What have you done exactly? Well you have popped a red pot, instantly giving you health, you have also cast your ultimate, dealing damage to enemies 3% of their health and giving yourself 300 health, and summoner heal, which grants some health as well, adding to a total of about 600 health outta bum **** nowhere. Jarvan doesn't get whats going on and wala, double kill for nasus, giving you the much needed advantage over olaf.
