Introduction

Hello everyone to my guide here on Mobafire about
" Rammus, The Armordillo"!

I am josahus and playing at the moment in Platinum on the EUW Servers. I will try to keep this guide always updated.
Please keep in mind that my english isn't perfect.

Pros / Cons

Items

Rammus is used to be the full tank frontline and if you use this guide you shouldn't change this.

Jungler Item
At the moment (Patch 4.20) I buy as default jungler item on nearly every jungler and I would recommend doing this on Rammus also.
Normally I recommend to get the Juggernaut upgrade, but if you decide to buy the tenacity won't stack. Then are other Upgrades for your Jungler Item viable options.

Boots
After you finished your you should try to get an advantage with these. Gank much and initate fights. Feel free to port back more often than usual, because you wont lose much time.

Smite Buffs

What camp should I Smite?
Currently it's hard to say which camp you should smite, because it refers to the situation and time you are in the game.
Before your first backport it's probably necessary to smite the Red Buff, since you wanna survive. In most cases it's the best idea to smite the new jungle camp, the "Razorbeaks" (old Wraiths), because it gives you the sureness that they cant see you or you can easily destroy their ward, so you wont lose time when you aren't sure if the enemy can see you or not (in 9 out of 10 cases you will find a ward (atleast in higher elo)). Often it is also worth to smite the "Gromp" (the frog), especially for team fights, because you shouldn't underestimate the power of this poision ;). The golems are just worth your Smite if you plan to afk jungle.
Otherwise you should try to keep your Smite ready for Dragon or Baron Nashor.

Some hints.

- Your Ultimate deals damage to buildings.
- It's easy to counterjungle Rammus in the first few minutes.
- With Rammus you are able to gank nearly every lane everytime. Much underestimate Rammus ganking potential and just champions with strong disengages in their setup can stop him. He is a great towerdiver, too.
