INTRO
One of Ezreal's latest adventures, however, has brought him face-to-face with his other legacy - his latent magical power. While exploring the pyramids of Shurima Desert, Ezreal uncovered an amulet of incredible power. Aside from the sheer size of the amulet (it was made for a being easily twice Ezreal's size), it allows the wielder to control and shape magical energy - provided a source of magic is in the vicinity. This allowed Ezreal to tap into his natural talent for magic without having to put any serious effort into it - a big win for the Prodigal Explorer. The drawback is that for some unknown reason, the amulet is attuned with summoning magic. Without warning, Ezreal may find himself acting as a champion for, as he puts it, ''a summoner hell-bent on resolving some irrelevant world-shattering League conflict.'' Still, Ezreal feels being summoned into a Field of Justice on occasion is a small price to pay.
''There's little time to study musty tomes when you're busy crawling around where the musty tomes originally came from.'' Such is Ezreal's credo.

I have been playing


With regard to the masteries the 1 in defence is there just in case you end up taking heal, having the mastery point already in upgraded heal means you only miss out on 1 mana per 5 which isn't a great deal.
With regard to the runes use the generic AD page except for the glyphs where I feel mana regeneration is more important than the magic resist, as you spam a lot as
Ezreal and to sustain
Essence Flux harass you WILL run out of mana without less so with it does not completely resolve your mana issue, if you feel like the mana issue is too much you could possibly swap out the armour seals for flat mana regen seals but that reduces the damage you can take drastically.

With regard to the runes use the generic AD page except for the glyphs where I feel mana regeneration is more important than the magic resist, as you spam a lot as






































Pretty simple to remember, early point in
Mystic Shot and
Arcane Shift.
Mystic Shot at level 1 because it does the most damage that early and you need a point in it for the passive cooldown reduction, the early point in
Arcane Shift is sheerly for the utility in having a blink.

Essence Flux as it offers the ability to poke at the enemy AD whilst they are standing in creeps as this is where they will standing to avoid
Mystic Shot harass, also the attack speed debuff it offers tips auto attack fights slightly towards your favour sheerly because you can hit them faster than they can hit you, however you will still lose out in auto attack fights to the likes of
Vayne I don't think there's a champion that can out auto that thing.

Double dorans blade and tier 1 boots is what your first back should be aiming for, at ~level 4-5. The double dorans is rather important as it's the only lifesteal you will be buying for quite a while.
The next goal is the
Zeal, upon buying this item poke in lane becomes so much easier with the increased movespeed it offers as long as you remain equal in the tier of boot with your opponent and a
Zeal up on them going auto
Essence Flux auto becomes an option as to how to poke them in comparison to
Essence Flux auto which was the previous poke combination.
If the jungler ganks and you manage to force your lane opponents to recall or even better secure kills on them dragon should become an option be sure to take this whenever possible. Also ~level 9 call down your top laner to force a dragon fight and take the dragon.
Finish
Trinity Force and
Ionian Boots of Lucidity by now early game should be over.

The next goal is the

After finishing your
Trinity Force your next major goal is
Infinity Edge.
With the
Trinity Force you offer quite a lot of mid game utility to your team as you can tank some damage (helpful for things like dragon) as well as slow enemies although, this slow isn't reliable after ~2-3 auto attacks you should be getting the slows.
Aim to break your opponent's tower then rotate to mid lane and break that tower. After that taking dragon should be no problem especially if both your mid and bot lane towers are up.
Once you manage to take top tower, this can be done in many ways, ask your support to get oracles and clear baron of wards then force baron fights ~20 minutes is the earliest that these kind of plays should be taking place and earlier and you run the risk of baron straight up pentakilling your team. As I mentioned earlier there are many ways of taking top tower aside from letting the lane be pushed by your top laner; the most effective is to 5 man it, alternatively you can rotate all your lanes and send mid bot, top mid and bot top then push it down yourselves.

Quicksilver Sash is swappable for another
Bloodthirster if it's not helping or if it's not helping due to over commitment from the enemy team
Guardian Angel note that while
Guardian Angel is on cooldown it's advisable to sell it for
Banshee's Veil or
Randuin's Omen depending on the type of damage you're taking.















The








In ranked play he can be picked at any time he fits into most team compositions, the only one I can think of that he does not fit into so well is one with a lot of single target stuns
Ashe fits into a team like that far better.
With regard to team play I find that team fights are about trying to keep yourself alive through the focus of their front row then cleaning up their back row. Just try to stay alive and hit their front row enough that they run, this generally means you've won the fight.

As with every champion (except
Yorick)
Ezreal has difficulties against certain lanes opponents I will cover the hardest and offer solutions:
Ashe most people dismiss her but how does
Ezreal actually do anything to her in lane, to actually reach her is impossible without use of
Arcane Shift as she stands so far back with her 600 range also
Volley keeps you at bay with relative ease for her. Also she out scales you into the late game with the enormous amounts of range and utility she provides to her team.
My advice with her would be to either take a hyper aggressive support to punish her lack of an escape
Alistar is perfect at level 2 he can
Flash
Pulverize
Headbutt to knock her back towards you and that should net a kill with relative ease.
Leona does a good job of zoning
Ashe from the creeps however until 6 it is very hard to net a kill due to
Zenith Blade having 700 ranging which is rather small for a skill shot as well as how far away from the bush
Ashe can stand. The other option is to take a passive support ideally
Soraka then waiting it out and just farming, with this tactic be sure to punish her heavily during the mid game as soon as lanes break while she's still weak.
Corki poses a huge problem in lane due to his ability to straight up kill you in a 1 v 1; he bursts for similar damage more consistently, also he can fire off his poke at high damage from between his minion line into your minion line whereas you lose out on
Mystic Shot damage by poking in this manner. There are two ways
Corki will play out the lane 1. passively and farm while zoning you, this is done by the threat of the damage he can do forcing you away while he last hits to deal with this take
Sona as your support she can poke him back for high damage while healing you so zoning is rather hard. 2. He can take an aggressive support generally
Taric and it becomes a kill lane, as soon as you get hit by the
Dazzle you die is the plan. To deal with this you can take an even more aggressive support
Leona or
Alistar and aim to kill them back, the issue with using this as a tactic is one side will kill the other one of you will start to snowball and the fights are rather even, one mistake will cost you the lane so be weary when using this as your response. The other way to reply to the kill lane is to take
Janna as your support; with
Janna she can disengage for you and not net them kills. Let the lane push to your tower and learn to farm under it (for ranged creeps hit them once let the tower hit them once then hit them again for the last hit and for melee creeps let the tower hit them twice then last hit them), due to how pushed up they are depending on your jungler they should be an option for ganks
Nocturne can gank pushed up lanes the best in my opinion as even if they were to ward he can use
Paranoia from inside your own jungle to catch them; similarly if your mid lane is
Twisted Fate they become a gank target for his
Destiny.
