Ranged and Melee. Ask your jungler for ganks asap and just farm safely. Just do you combo safely. Dodge his Hyper charge and be wary of his acceleration gate because that is when he usually does his combo or Hyper charge

Introduction
Hey Guys! I'm ShadowXHunter99 and this is my first champion guide and my first creating a guide and i apologise if this is too plain and simple and I would appreciate any feedback that you guys may provide.
I Use 2 kinds of Garen: Tank and damage dealer tank but i usually use Tank when my team doesn't have a tank and usually top lane is tank like Malphite.
I chose Garen because he is my main champ and he is one of the champ that is fun to play . This guide is based on the items, runes and everything i usually use in League of Legends so without further ado, let's get started.

Warmog's Armor is the best item that can go with your passive.
Sunfire Cape Goes well with your Judgement... So when you spin, you also burn nearby enemies
Just read the Item's Passive and Active.
Don't buy AP Items on Garen because it is very useless
The items i mentioned are not in order so you don't have to necessarily follow the arrangements.
P.S. For the Upgrade of the boots, it does not have to be homeguard. you can choose Furor, Captain or alacrity
Skill and its Sequence
It depends on your enemy's champ and items. If your enemy is out of control, you can max W first but not really recommended. You can either max E or Q first but its is recommended to max your E first because E deals the most damage
Don't forget to always Q when you are from the base going to your lane because it will give you speed and it does not have a cost :)
Spells
USEFUL SPELLS:
Flash
- You can replace your TP with this but TP is very recommended as a top lanerIgnite
- When your ult did not kill your enemy, use this and it will guarantee you a killTeleport
- When other lanes needs your help or you died and your top tower is under attackHeal
- When you don't want to lose health and you need the extra speed for a little timeGhost
- You can replace flash by this but you are already fast with your bootsVIABLE SPELLS ON GAREN (Not really recommended):
Cleanse
- If you are against Hardd cc champs like Nautilus or the other team member's have all cc's.Exhaust
- If you're against Fiora, and other bulliesBarrier
- Heal is much more useful unless going against Darius, Talon with those bleedsSmite
- If you are jungleUSELESS SPELLS (Use this and i will kill you):

Masteries
Most Garen players go with the 21/9/0 because they want more damage but Garen needs survivability and not only damage. Garen does already have enough damage, especially early game. I recommend you guys to go for 9/21/0 Standard defensive masteries because after the runes, you're basically strong and your Q does Huge damage as well as your E At level 3 with my guide, you can slice the enemies health into half. Garen isn't really a carry but half tank half damage dealer and you always initiate a team fight. If you have time, you can go to my NA account and search for AD tank masteries and you can find it.
