Welcome to my first Mobafire guide!! I get tired when I keep on dying with Gangplank, and now I have revolutionized the squishy (but high damage) GP.
In my opinion
is the best for Gangplank. Not only can you chase people easily with ulti, exhaust and ghost, you can also RUN!!
Optional summoner spells
I guess you can use this to replace because you already have a slow (ulti), and if you go the other route (look at Items for more info) you would get awesome slow from
Hmm....I would personally prefer ghost, but you can jump across cliffs and obstacles with this spell, but if you fail this, say goodbye.
A very useful spell if you are faced against a lot of disables and CC, but I would prefer getting . Not only does it have the same effect and Cleanse, it gives extra MR and has lower CD than Cleanse.
Who needs extra AD if you are tank
Play smart and harass well and you won't need this with every single hero.
Horrible choice for Gangplank

As you can see the runes are mostly crit runes. Because his Parrrley is able to crit as well, it is wise to choose these runes. They are not all crit because I like spam my Parrrley a lot, so I decided to put some CD runes into the build.
You can also use all crit runes or extra crit damage runes, as these will prove to be helpful in late game.
Some other rune builds:
High crit chance, lower damage. Not much needs to be said
This rune set allow maximum damage for , but the crit chance is reduce by over 5%. So you are depending more on your luck.
This is for spamming Parrrley, which might increase your overall your damage output depending on how fed you are. Now...why instead of ? Well, you already have a lot of CD reduction from your other runes and your boots, and at level 18 you would get an extra 7% CD reduction from these.
As with many GP builds, you get
first. This skill is very helpful in early game, because it increases your AD and you get to deny your minions. When you first enter the game buy your items and stand next to the nexus. When the first creep spawns, deny it immediately (the same if you are in mid/top/bot). When you reach the river your Raising Morale CD would be up, deny a creep again. Every third wave you would want to deny the cannon creep, as this gives the most xp/gold to the enemy. Make sure you last enemy minions as best as possible to maximize gold earned in early-mid game.
This doesn't work anymore due to the update. Now Raising Morale doesnt deny creeps anymore :( So it is better to start of with Parrrley since you can harass and last hit minions easily and getting a fair amount of gold.
Once you are level 2 upgrade your and use this to last hit creeps, since it gives extra gold.
When your team is in trouble do not hesitate to use your ulti . This skill is global, which means you can cast it anywhere you like. It also slows the enemy down it they are hit by it, which increases the chance of your teamates to survive.
? Well..there is only one answer to that. IT STACKS. Remember you have Atma's Impaler which increases your AD. A Warmogs gives 1370 HP if you have full stacks which means an extra 27.4 AD. Well you think it's not that much but trust me. If you want to live and do just slightly less damage, you would get this instead of a
or any other strong AD items. Even without these items you are able to crit 850+ with and get over one second reduced to the CD.
A is also very good for this build. Not only do you get an astonishing 700 extra hp, you also get 20 extra damage and the ability to slow them with your Q. Isn't that nice?
You should get 1-2 in early game for extra gold and crit chance, this is useful if you are getting harrased and cannot kill creeps or enemies at your full potential.
If the team consists of many mages, it is worth while to replace one of the Warmogs with a . This is probably one of my favorite tanky items, due to its life saving passive

Probably the best subsitute due to its passive and gives extra HP and Mana
A situational item. Only get this if you are faced against a lot..I mean A LOT like 3-4+ CC's.
Gives a few more extra damage than a Warmog's and has the ability to slow with each attack, but you get lower HP.
ONLY GET THIS IF YOU ARE FACED WITH EXTREME AD...LIKE ONE FULL TEAM OF AD.
Here is an example: Trust me this is one effective team and can only be countered by heavy armor and a lot of CC's.
