This Guide is for when your laning Zyra Mid but can be used for Bot/Top lane as well
This build is helpful build this is mostly used for in the mid lane. This build is very strong early game if you get the amplifying tome and if you have the ap runes. End game if you use all you combo moves E-Q-R it can do over 2000 damage in 1 burst. The build stats show it only goes up to 510 ap but ingame you can get up to 700 ap depending your runes.

The first build for Zyra that i personally use is my recommended Build
This build is an all around damage build that will put out some serious AP and give you a little bit of health that will allow you to survive a gank or an fed enemy there are many different combinations for this build which you can change to depending on the situation or your like of items.
You can replace the with
before building the [will of the ancients] you can build the rod of ages and if you dont think the extra mana from the [archangel's staff] you can replace that but i would recommend keeping it for the passive [converts 3% of mana into AP] If you dont want to keep the archangel's staff you should buy a [Deathfire grasp] this item gives cooldown AP and is also build on a GP5 item which will give you gold.[/color]
Using all of these items a second build for zyra could be:
This build will provide excellent AP, Cool down,Magic penetration and a little bit of health.
Both of these two build are viable builds to use and i recommend trying them out and seeing which one you like the most
When receving a Jungle Gank:
Zyra Can be very useful for when a jungle is ganking. When a gank is happening the first thing to do if your jungler doesn't have a stun,snare,root or fear is to use you root to stop them then allow your jungle to jungle on them. If your jungle does have a stun,snare,root or fear wait for them to use that on the enemy before using your root this will allow you to keep them there for longer and give you longer time to land all of your shots and land you combo.
When Laning mid to get the advantage on your enemy you have to snare/root first which will allow you to land you Q if your not lvl 6 Poke by doing E,Q or Q if you are lvl 6 and you land Your E do E,R,Q or E,Q,R If you dont land your E just continue to Poke with you Q
During Team Battles:
When a 5v5 or a 3v3 depending on what game your playing If the moment arises when you have all 5 enemies in the same spot make sure you either hit acouple of them with you E, or if you have the whole Team there Use your ulty first this will allow your team to Chose you targets depending on who gets knocked up by the ulty or not This will also allow your team to ctach up or land there moves easier.
When getting chased:
When getting chased with zyra the best thing to allways do is to throw your E back and root the enemies gaining More distance between you and them. If your team has just come back out of a terrible team fight and your team is trying to get away use your R if up to put infront or ontop of the enemies thus creating/ scaring them away from your ulty or catching them in it and knocking them either allowing you to get away or taking them down low enough to help your team secure a kill
With Zyra's Passive (Rise Of The Thorns) Grants her an ability to turn into a flower (cannon) upon death. This flower does true damage and can turn a fight around. This moves increases in damage upon level up. (260 - 567) True damage. When using Zyra's Passive it can be activated by using ethier (Q,W,E,R) They all do the same ability and do not change the amount of damage, range or speed. When your passive Pop's you only have 1 shot and when you use it you die after wards. As soon as your Passive Pop's you will not be able to shoot instantly and will have to wait around (2) seconds for your charcter to change into a plant.The passive will Last for around 5 seconds So use it at your first opptunity
When Farming with Zyra when you have brought your tear of the goddess start spamming your abilitys on minions and players if you can land every hit you should start raking up the CS.Late game once you have gotten your AP up you should be able to start 1 hitting minions this is the time to start farming in lane around the 12-14 minute mark usally you can get up around 100 CS in around 6 minutes. This is very helpful late game when you have around 240 - 300 CS at 30 Minutes assuming they haven't surrender yet and you have hit every creep.

The summoner spells that you should should not use unless trolling are:
1. strong ap burst carry
2. does high burst damage at start of game
3. Good early and late game
1. Squiahy untill you buy the Rylai's Scepter
2. Can be counterd by a champion with silence
3. Can be pushed easy
