Intro

Well after my first Ahri guide, I decided to remake it cause APPARENTLY I rushed the last one cause I had to cancel my internet. So like before I would like to thank you for taking your time to read this guide for ahri.

MY DRAWING XD (was on my hw so dont ask wat that circle is lol)

Runes

In all honesty, runes are mainly just for early game. Everyone plays differently at the beginning but for the sake of the guide I gotta do this.....
More AP the better since Ahri is a burst ap
Going strait AP may seem good but if the opposing team starts to build against you, even the slightest magic penetration is gonna help so it doesn't hurt and besides it makes a difference even early game.
More AP the better.
Same comment as earlier for magic penetration.

If not the ones mentioned above then like mentioned earlier, its mainly what you prefer, this is just what I prefer

Masteries

Wondering why nothing in the defensive masteries? Simple. Ahri is squishy to begin with. The slightest MR and ARMOR will help BUT not enough in my perspective. (Doesn't mean you can't use the defensive tree)

Offensive Tree
This is a very standard choice for a bursty mage like Ahri. Really the only thing that might be different between people is that others will use Summoner's Wrath over Spellsword
Utility Tree
Using Greed over Runic Affinity is stupidly weird I know. BUT I have reasons for that. Depending on who is jungling most chances are that you will get blue like only 2-3 times. Also AP build is expensive, i would rather get greed over runic affinity just to get that extra gold than have blue last a bit longer. Also I can run Athene's Unholy Grail instead because technically it can replace blue buff much better. Espically on Ahri because, you do not lane or stay out there long because you are either just getting killed or pwning, in other words you will consume mana like that for just one engage

Summoner Skills

the main ones that i use it

Others
why teleport over ignite? its not bad its just that when using ahri...more than half the time you are going use Spirit Rush over Flash but yeah grab it if you want because you can use it like ur ulti
....ehhh this is just really up to u...personally i dont like it on ahri cause either way it gets countered by slow very easy since alot of items gives slow and almost everyone has a slow or some kind of cc. so would rather prefer flash.
depends on who you're up against...but its not all that bad it gets rid of cc
pretty good during laning phase but not really helpful when laning is over
doesnt hurt could help you every now and then
im not gonna say not to use it but this one is just on you cause some people prefer it. i just dont on ahri because she isnt gonna be really close ranged
kinda acts like a Clarity but for hp so kinda the same...useful during laning phase but not much after

Skill Sequence

If you scroll up to see the skill sequence, you will notice that I do not max 1 ability as fast as possible. Reason behind that is because if you do, the other will be not be so effective. Example: if you max Orb of Deception to lvl 5 as fast as you can, Fox-Fire, at level 1, cant do as much dmg when Orb of Deception is down. Majority of the time I will always level up Orb of Deception to level 3 then max out Fox-Fire. Why max out Fox-Fire first? As Ahri you will go close to someone eventually when u diving after them and u need the constant dmg so NEVER underestimate the damage on this move. Orb of Deception already does huge dmg at level 3 so it best not to depend too much on one move. So for the skill sequence I cant really give you one since my goes differently.

This is why Teemo never goes mid lol

Items

Starting Items

Starting with potions are always recommended when beginning a game because you can lane longer. With boots you can move around faster and it is part of the build so it doesn't hurt. As stated earlier, early game is different to everyone. Some people will start with Doran's Ring but I personally don't like Doran items so this is really the only other way.
d
Mid Game Items
By the time you enter mid game, you should have Sorcerer's Shoes and almost have or finish Athene's Unholy Grail. Sorcerer's Shoes give you magic penetration and better movement. Athene's Unholy Grail gives Ahri many things that is helpful. It gives cooldown reduction, MR, MAJOR MANA REGEN, and AP. By the mid way through mid game, you should finish your deathcap
d
Late Game
this is where situational items come in. EXPLAINED DOWN BELOW.

Other Items

personally i never liked doran items because they just slow down ur build but if u like it just get 2 at most
i have tried it and its not all that bad, its just that sometimes u could forget to auto atk
pretty good item but its hard for ahri to stack the mana because she cant keep using her ablities constantly or else you drain mana hard
this one is very situational. if they constantly focusing u then this could save u. personally if you noe how to keep your position u wouldnt need to use this unless you are using it for the AP it gives u
this item is pretty good since it allows u to burst harder and gives cdr. this one is just up to u. personally after it got nerf i didnt like it so i just stopped buying it
give hp, AP, and gives ur moves a slow. it works well with ur foxfire but i seem to have the habit of not building it cause it just cost too much. actually u wouldnt really have to build any hp at all if u can keep ur position
some people prefer this over void staff but either way its good for u no matter what so it doesnt hurt
if your team has another ap and he/she doesnt want to grab it, u can grab it if u want since it does help they also
pretty decent gives u mr, movement, and AP...grab it if u want its not gonna hurt..mainly its good to scout out where enemies are at or a bush in front of u thats not warded
u must be doing really well to have gotten this....like literally very good cause it is worthless if u cant keep these stacks up to at least 10+
the Athene's Unholy Grail is much better trust me
late game item but like the hourglass only get it if they are focusing u too hard

anything else is pretty much what u prefer

Match-ups

mirror matchup this is all about who has better skills at playing ahri. this is quite rare matchup to come by since only about 10% of all games play ahri in it. but if you do happen to play against one play smart. this match up is about harass and skill shots. learn to last second dodge because this Charm will be flying everywhere. if you happen fire Charm first, MOVE OUT OF THE WAY INSTANTLY because the fact that u can fire it towards her means that she can also fire Charm at you. same applies to Orb of Deception this match is alright but can be pretty hard once it becomes late because akali is devastating during late game. during laning phase u pretty much have the advantage because she depends alot on her Shadow Dance. she does alot of ganks so do call mia to help teammates because she is also a good ganker. if she uses twilight shroud, u should be cautious because she did put it down for a reason so be ready to Charm at anytime. But do play smart and auto atk her if u can cause she is a melee during early game
max Orb of Deception Can be a really tough matchup since she has a stun for her passive that she can easily keep using. play extremely passively cause she can out trade u. dont ever engage her unless u land a Charm or if know that her stun is down and not closely ready to come back up. if u do land it, do your combo quick unless u know that her passive charge is at least 1 or none at all. but if the annie is horrible (and u should be able to tell by how fast she charges her passive up) it is an easy match up. aw man a passive that acts like GA...such a pain. this match up is not hard but its not easy either. dodge her Flash Frost because its a stun and it should be rather easy since it flies kinda slow and does stand out. Have ur jungler be ready for a gank because you are gonna need it when you are about to go for the kill. Ahri literally does not have enough burst power to kill anivia twice in a row. overall its gonna be a farming match for you since she can play really agressive because of her passive. If you can, try to bring out her passive since it is a 5 min cooldown, then it will be your turn to bully her since you can out trade her love this guys Halloween skin, runs around in a circle like hes on fire
anyways back to topic, fighting this guy can be either tough or alrite. he can outrange and harass much better than you. if you happen to get hit by any of his moves, be ready to dodge his Sear cause it will stun. also trading with this guy is kinda hard since he can be an Annie if you want, wait till he misses his pillar of fire or Sear. I don't fight this guy often so I cant really give much help here so much range...stay away from her poison and keep moving around, you should be ok if u can at least do that. her downfall is that she uses mana fast if u can keep her using her moves by tricking her to think that you are moving somewhere. she will push easy since she has alot of aoe. when she does push too much have ur jungler gank. but mainly its just gonna be a farming match against her since she our ranges u and poking her is kinda hard unless you are good at it. im not even gonna say anything or even waste my time with this one. as an AP carry harrassing this guy is just a waste of time...just farm and watch for his knockup. simply this match up will be tough for u cause u cant do anything to this guy

MORE WILL TO COME...too much champions

Summary

Overall, Ahri is a very underestimated champion because simply people cannot "adjust to her". Honestly, majority of ahri players say the same thing about their first experience with her. She is difficult to get used to. So don't be discouraged about your first couple of games with her. Again thank you for reading my guide. Pictures belong to their original owners unless mentioned.
