Introduction

Hello this is my guide on how to play an AD Nasus. To start off let me say this is a situational build. Your team must have a tank, so if you're playing Nasus and there is no other tank you are the tank.

Please read the entire guide before you rate and please leave a message on what you like or don't like about this guide so I can improve this guide for other who read it. This is my first build so if you have tips please give them to me.

Lore

The enigmatic creature known as Nasus came to the League from a faraway world, and served as part of a vast and learned desert empire. There he was a respected and enlightened individual, having been made the Keeper of the Great Library. However, he was also part of a race of animalistic creatures that served as the rulers and protectors of the people. Unfortunately, there were others of his kind that believed they were more than protectors. They were under the egotistical delusion that they had ascended to become gods. War on Nasus's world was never more than a breath away, as these deluded others sought to enslave the people and establish a totalitarian sovereignty. In the midst of a heated battle, just as Nasus was about to slay his treacherous brother Renekton, he was pulled through the cosmos to a summoning circle in Runeterra.

At first angered that he had been taken just as he was about to cripple the enemies of his people, Nasus' advanced intellect won out when he heard the pleas of mercy from the summoners. He learned that Runeterra was also filled with its own brand of injustice. This danger was no less threatening than what he had fought against at home, and champions were needed to protect the people of this world. Heeding the call, Nasus chose to take his place in the League of Legends, knowing that his brothers and sisters would carry on the fight back home. These days, he is the Curator of the Sands, feeling most at home in the crumbling ruins of the Shurima Desert. However, recent disturbing news has reached the Keeper's ears - rumors that perhaps his brother had not in fact been left behind. If this were the case, the destruction of Renekton would quickly become Nasus' main priority, before this world too faces the threads of his brother's forked-tongue and endless ambition.

The Curator of the Sands, though contemplative, is not to be trifled with.

Pros / Cons

Pro's
Great Damage with your Siphoning Strike
Great sustain for solo top (passive life steal)
Great minion Farm with your Spirit Fire and Siphoning Strike
Ultimate makes you very hard to kill 1v1
Amazing slow with your Wither

Con's
    You will get focused hard
    You have no escape (
Wither dosen't help that much with escape)
Useless if you don't farm your Siphoning Strike
Not A Tank (with this build)

Runes

I chose Greater Mark of Desolation Marks for that extra armor penatration to help your Q farm and scoreing kills.

Greater Seal of Armor because everyone focuses Nasus when he ults no matter what build your doing you need some sort of sustainablilty in team fights.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist for the same reason as resilence you just need that extra survivablility.

Greater Quintessence of Desolation for the same reason as the marks.

Masteries

I chose the simple 21 9 0 for my AD Nasus focusing on all the extra damage I can deal with him adding a little Life steal and improved Ignite also.
I chose the 9 in defense again just for the little bit of extra survivability.

Note the 3 in armor can easily be traded for MR if you have more problems with that.

You may also want to try 21 0 9 to get some improved mana regan since Nasus can be mana hungry.

Items

Dorans Blade is nice to start out with just to have that extra damage and health (lifesteal isn't bad either).
Alternatives you be Boots with 3 Health Potion if you want the extra movement or even Cloth Armor with 5 Health Potion if you think you will have a tough time keep your health up to stay in lane.

Then I grab my Boots of Swiftness just to have that extra speed helps this those getaways sometimes. But Mercury's Treads are also equally viable in some playstyles or situations.

I grab the Sheen so it empowers my Q more and then build it into Trinity's Force since none of it is bad for you at all (extra slow is the main)

Then Bloodthirster and Infinity Edge just for the extra damage and life steal.

Then I go for extra survivability since this is a very squishy build
Guardian Angel just for that all around mr and armor and if you like the coming back alive part that can help (aegis is not a bad choice either)

Then I like more health regan when it comes with something else so I got Force of Nature again these can be changed if your facing an AD heavy team or if you want more damage.

Optional Items
Frozen Mallet If you need the health or don't like [Trinity's Force]

Eleisa's Miracle If you don't have any tenacity or need the mana/health regan

Hextech Gunblade If your into have more AP and like life steal and spell vamp

Hexdrinker If you need the extra MR grab this early game for an amazing shield that has saved my life many times in games

Manamune If you are having a diffcult time keeping mana and want some AD instead of tenacity This does give you a lot of damage also. So I would say it is very viable just a few things keep it from my main build for now

Thornmail for those anoying AD carries that deal way too much damage

Banshee's Veil If some spells are causeing you some troubles this can come in handy and the extra mana and health are nice also

Quicksilver Sash can also be useful if you don't have cleanse and are being harased with stuns, slows and other spells.

Last Whisper If the other team is going armor heavy this can be a good item to have to puncture through that armor.

[Warmog's Armor If you want more health regan and pure health this is a good item to have

Sunfire Aegis since you are close range this can help you get a little extra damage in but mainly get this for it's extra armor or health

Randium's Omen If you want that extra slow that is the main reason to get this in my mind. It is good for armor but there are better choices if you don't use the slow.

Atma's Impaler I find if you are going Atmog's build this is fine but the crit makes it a little unappealing if you are just getting this item (can be with Frozen Mallet also)

Skill Sequence

This is pretty self explanitory.
Your Q Siphoning Strike which is your main attack you max first to deal more damage faster
Your W Wither you max last but get 1 at lvl 4 since your slow upgrades the worst our of your skills
Your E Spirit Fire you max 2nd just to help your minion farm and also to make the enemies have an AOE on them when you go in for the kill
Your Ultimate Fury of the Sands you lvl up whenever you can for obvious reasons.

Summoner Spells

Flash. I like Flash due to being able to escape over walls and just adding an escape to Nasus
Ignite. It is just nice to have the extra damage to pick up the kill (sometimes first blood)
Other spells that are viable
Ghost. If you like this over flash by all means go ahead.
Exhaust. If no one has this on your team get it. And an extra slow is always fun.
Teleport. Again if no one on your team has it grab it. If you are having to B a lot this can help with getting back faster
Heal and Clairvoyance also are good in some situations (but Clairvoyance should be on a support)
Cleanse can also be good if you need to escape
Most of the other spells should not even be considered on Nasus.

Summary

Main Part of gameplay with nasus is constantly farming your Siphoning Strike to anihilate the other team. That will destroy their health and pick up kills easily.

In team fights always let the tank initate. You will be focused and killed first if you initate as Nasus.

Always use your Ultimate Fury of the Sands when your in a fight! I cannot stress that enough, you will be destroyed without that on when you fight.

Use your Spirit Fire for farming once you get a few ranks in it. It can destroy entire waves of minions easily.

If you are being focused and have no escape just fight through it because you will not escape since you are probably slower. Don't overestimate your lifesteal though either. It is strong for not leaving your lane but not as strong against enemies (though still not bad).

Please leave tips on how to improve this guide and rate it. If you show me a score useing this build I will post the good ones on this build.
