I like your guide. I play mostly the same, but still was not clear which runes to use. I'll try mana runes and see how I go.
One tip, perhaps replace Quickness with Intelligence. To exploit the full potential of Ryze is better to try to reach 40% of CDR: then 6% of "Intelligence" + 3% of "Sorcery" + 10% of "Overload" + 20% "Frozen Heart" = 39% of CDR.
You gain 6% of CDR, against 3% movement speed, that speed is only 11.4 of 380, not much.
And take the opportunity to consult you: how do you fight against characters nuker such as LeBlanc or Kennen which have long range and / or skills to easily escape or corral?

Have one concern, is Void staff not better than Cap? Cap adds 200 AP Max but AP scales fairly poorly; however the 40% penetration would go to all your magic damage which scales well with mana.

At 200 RES: RDC - 538 + 670 + 192 + 538
VS - 579 + 639 + 171 + 579

=> VS wins by 30


VS Only just worth taking at 200 Magic resistance over RDC :/
