Hello everybody my name is Jim(Citydabong) and today I will show you my K'Z guide and tips for Kha'Zixwho apparently is a high-tier jungler during the new S3 metagame.
Soon I will color the letters and upgrade the guide,feel free to comment+vote,based of your opinion about the guide,and feel free to suggest items for a future upgrade.
This is my second guide,after I learnt some stuff with the BB codes.

Introduction to Kha'Zix
Is a very amazing jungler,in the new metagame,he kept his amazing sustain which is honorably amazing during S3 where jungling is one of the hardest parts of the current meta.
Kha'Zix utilises to counter-jungle and to keep snowballing every level,which makes him an amazing champion to use,although he can be played as an assassin focusing on Damage and Mobility,and on the other hand,he can be that bruiser who dominates with every single gank.This Guide will show you both options and read to chose wisely.
So far,I believe everyone has a different oppinion with the same result,so Kha'Zix is mostly played the same,but with a different look for every player,read more to understand my thoughts behind him.
As Kha'Zix exists,he can adopt everywhere and feast with their blood...
Here is the champion spotlight for Kha'Zix,that so in order to understand his abilities better,while also Phreak apporves the gamestyle we are seeking with Kha'Zix.
Deals "TONS" of damage

Squishy(Only if played assassin)
If he gets counter jungled,he can't snowball

Bad if you can't focus the carry,and position well
Notice that I prefer to play K'Z as a bruiser,which is completely great in my opinion,but some out there prefer assassin junglers,well Kha'Zix can do everything.
Skill Sequence/Skill Showcase
This is the part I was talking during my introduction,soon this will get more detailed.
: His passive,simply amazing,this can put good use to whatever style of K'Z
you chose,if you want to play AP this can BUFF your Void Spike.Otherwise this makes a great use (the one I prefer) to an AD K'Z,by enhancing the ability Taste Their Fear which is the best ability of K'Z.
: Is the best ability K'Z has,deals amazing damage that scales of AD,and
it is really amazing to assassinate carries(which is your main role as an assassin,to focus carries as much as possible)
EVOLVING ENLARGED CLAWS: Which means on level six giving to K'Z his first evolution on his Q skill Taste Their Fear which is the best skill he has if he is played with Attack Damage.
: This ability adds so much sustain to K'Z that he can heal based on the AP he has,but the damage he deals scales with AD,so with this ability you can add a great function if you are going hybrid.
EVOLVING SPIKE RACKS: During S2 you might saw my comments here,prefering to evolve this at the end,no during S3 this move allows you to heal like a boss,and to clear jungle faster with a triple AoE skillshot,must have.
: I've seen many players ignoring this ability and it makes me sad,although I will explain you why this is really great and functions really well for K'Z.
This ability deals some great damage scaling with AD again,and it also alows you to leap,but it deals AoE damage which is important for teamfights,and can help you a lot chasing others.
EVOLVING WINGS: This is really the third ability that you might need to evolve,it enhances your Leap range and can help because if you get a kill,it's cooldown refreshes,meaning that you can cast it again to assassinate escaping targets.
: During Season 2,I said this one is the worst one ability of Kha'Zix mainly because it can't match with the one rengar has,but notice something,this ability works way too different than you think.While many players think its just about the stealthness,no you are wrong,this ability is for the passive,allowing you to deal tons of damage with Q Taste Their Fear and a nice slow with W Void Spike
EVOLVING ACTIVE CAMO: Well,only if you don't need Leap which enhances your mobility,evolving your ultimate is like evolving your skin,and your passive.
First we take our Taste Their Fear and we max it by level 9.
Secondly We take Void Spike And max it by level 13.
Thirdly We take Leap and max it by level 18.
Ultimate Void Assault we take a point as soon as available,in order to improve our
Q Taste Their Fear
W Void Spike
Which I suggest Evolving:
Q>W>E ,and ignoring Void Assault R completely.

Explaning K'Z abilities
When Kha'Zix is not seen by nearby enemy champions,he gains Unseen Threat.Unseen Threat causes his next basic attack against an enemy champion or Evolved Void Spike to deal 15 / 20 / 25 / 35 / 45 / 55 / 65 / 75 / 85 / 95 / 110 / 125 / 140 / 155 / 170 / 185 / 200 / 220 (+ 50% AP) bonus magic damage and slow by 35% for 2 seconds.
Unseen Threat lasts until consumed and has no internal cooldown. Being visible to enemy wards, minions or neutral monsters has no effect in Unseen Threat becoming available.
Taste Their Fear COOLDOWN: 3.5 COST: 25 mana
PASSIVE:Kha'Zix marks enemies that are isolated from their allies.
ACTIVE:Deal physical damage to a single target. Damage against isolated targets is significantly increased.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+ 160% bonus AD)
PHYSICAL DAMAGE TO ISOLATED TARGET: 100 / 145 / 190 / 235 / 280 (+ 240% bonus AD)
EVOLVED ENLARGED CLAWS: Increases damage to isolated targets by 12% of their missing health (max 200 vs monsters). Increases range of Taste Their Fear and Kha'Zix's Basic Attacks by 50.
Void Spike RANGE: 1000 COOLDOWN: 8 COST: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 mana
ACTIVE: Kha'Zix fires spikes that explode on contact, dealing physical damage to all nearby enemies. Kha'Zix is healed if he is within the explosion radius.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 75 / 115 / 155 / 195 / 235 (+ 90% bonus AD)
HEAL: 40 / 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 (+ 50% AP)
EVOLVED SPIKE RACKS: Causes Void Spike to fire three spikes in a cone. Void Spike will consume Unseen Threat to slow and damage all enemies struck.
Leap RANGE: 600 COOLDOWN: 22 / 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 COST: 50 mana
ACTIVE: Kha'Zix leaps to an area, dealing physical damage to enemies in the area.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 65 / 100 / 135 / 170 / 205 (+ 80% bonus AD)
EVOLVED WINGS: Increases Leap's range and causes kills and assists to refresh Leap's cooldown.
Void Assault COOLDOWN: 100 / 90 / 80 COST: 100 mana
PASSIVE: Each rank of Void Assault allows Kha'Zix to evolve one of his abilities, granting it an additional effect.
ACTIVE: Kha'Zix enters stealth for 1 second, gaining 40% bonus movement speed. Entering stealth grants Unseen Threat. Void Assault can be cast a second time within 10 seconds at no cost.
EVOLVED ACTIVE CAMOUFLAGE: Void Assault can be cast three times. Kha'Zix takes 40% reduced damage while in stealth.
Playing as a Bruiser you must focus again to max up your Q Taste Their Fear to increase your burst's amazing damage making you clearly one of the best bruisers,almost as good as
Lee Sin who relies on Sonic Wave/ Resonating Strike's Burst.
Here are some other ideal rune sets for Kha'Zix.
Although I seem to prefer the one I show you above,this ones can be pretty good and compete
with intensity aswell.
: A great rune that allows you to escalate really well on early game,though on lategame your penetration might fall,compared to the suggested rune set.
: A very good option for those who can farm extremely well with low AD at early game and maxing out their damage output at lategame.
I find this the best option myself
The only additional choice you have,it can help you to gank against mages really great on early game.
Amazing option,and it even might stack better than the quints' I suggest,allthough its a hard play style but it can make you the ultimate-lategame assassin.
Really good to roam and gank faster.
Another decent set of quints' , this one will allow you
to make easy crits with your Q of course again if you build up some Critical Chance.
Nothing to explain about masteries,imrpoved smite,lesser cooldowns,increased armor,increased dammage etc.
And for the lanephasers...
So my personal best and favourite,of course with explanation why,are:
1. Exhaust Since you aren't the jungler-kind that has 4 CC abilities, Exhaust might come handy while it debuffs enemy's offense,and slows him dramatically making him an easy kill,again
while he have a point on Summoner's Wrath we get to reduce his defences aswell,making it an amazing spell to use.
2. Smite You can't jungle without it,its the best to secure buffs,and aswell to jungle faster and to steal buffs when you counter jungle.
3. Flash An escaping method but since you have Leap You might not want to use it,but again its a great choise to close gaps or to open gaps,securing kills or avoiding deaths.
4. Teleport Good if you are doing the solotop role,but good aswell if you place a ward in an area without true vision,and teleport there to gank from behind,really good spell with great potential on a ward playing team,but bad again if you don't know how to use it
5. Ignite This spell can secure kills,but it is a bad pick,aswell you don't need to steal your laner's kills,but again helping them to get kills and allowing them to push and farm for additional Global Gold and self-laner EXP,for me it is just an ability if you are laning.
6. Ghost well this is a great choice for those who want to chase targets and roam faster,while also you got your Leap to work as flash,pretty a nice choice,but again use it only when the enemies do not have large ammount of CC/kiting skills like Ashe or Amumu
All the other spells are a joke to use in my opinion.
And Ignite is also useless for me,but it depends how good ganks you can make,so it might
be a very functional spell,if its gonna be used right in teamfights.
Starting Items >> Hunter's Machete + 5x Health Potion
Early Game(till 20 min) >> Ionian Boots of Lucidity or Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Threads + The Brutalizer instead you can pick a Pickaxe
Mid GAME (till 30 min) >> Add The Black Cleaver + Spirit of the Elder Lizard
Late game (after 30 min) >> Finish up your build,scroll down for additional options.
Now its the time to talk about the best items for Kha'Zix
Pay attention please,cause here you will be able to tell and compare through items,and also to pick items to counter your enemies as good as possible.
The standart items:
Ionian Boots of Lucidity Really good when you have a blue buff,it can make your Q spammable,which is what we are seeking through Kha'Zix's play-style.
Berserker's Greaves Not the boots you might need,but they can add a great AutoAttack potential to Kha'Zix ,although still not a great choice.
Ninja Tabi Good boots for bruisers,and realy good if you are about to be the AD carry hunter,they allow you to get some armor and also to almost ignore early game auto attacks,which can be sick.
Boots of Swiftness If you are going to be a roamer,use them,and they are good to play against high mobility teams.
Boots of Mobility Its an amazing item/tool to escape as Kha'Zix,since you use your ulti you get a buff on your movement speed,and also you can get a buff whenever the enemies are chasing you and you ignore them while you keep running,great pick but once more,it is a hard item to use,but it might come handy for K'Z.
The Bloodthirster Really good to bust your enemies and adds a great offense to you,and also it gives you a great lifesteal buff,get it early,but not too early,just before teamfights so you can fullfil it's farming part to max out it's stats.
Atma's Impaler One of the best items if you are focusing to go as FrAtMog Kha'Zix
but on the other hand if you buy Frozen Mallet or Warmog's Armor it will be a very
useful item balancing your Assassin-Bruiser gameplay by giving you damage per maximum Health and
armor with critical strike chance.
Youmuu's Ghostblade Such an amazing item for K'Z,it gives you everything you need and can help you to penetrate tank's really easy with your Q,if you combine this item with The Black Cleaver And Last Whisper,Such a cheap and great option for the blood drinker,Kha'Zix.
Hextech Gunblade Really good to finish off carries,and really a nice choice if you want also to get a healing buff for your W.
Trinity Force It might be as good as Hextech Gunblade But it gives to the player a full range zone buff,which can be as good as HTGB,but it gives you less AP,but gives you much more like Crit Ratio,Movement speed buff and much more.
Maw of Malmortius A nice item for an offtank player,if enemies have mostly AP players,this might be an amazing item to counter them,while it gives you magic resistance,damage and also a shield to prevent lethal damage,for an example| Enemy team: Top(Vlad) Mid(Swain) Jungle(Diana) and etc,might get easily countered by a Maw...
The Black Cleaver A Handsome item,realy good attack speed buff and really good armor reduction of the enemy you focus,making it easy for you to even one shot carries with Q,along with Last Whisper And Youmuu's Ghostblade.
Last Whisper Whichever build you make you must buy it in my opinion,it is just a devastating option,and realy hard to counter this item by carries since the only defence item they might buy is Guardian Angel which will keep them back from a full offense carry.
Phantom Dancer Pretty much a great choice for a crit hunter K'Z,alone its nothing,but with companion of Infinity Edge and Youmuu's Ghostblade can be a great item to pick up for your build.
Warmog's Armor Personally my favourite Hit Points upgrading item,Warmog gives you better HP regen and tons of HP while it works like Bloodthirster the more you farm the better it gets,but notice that when you die you do not lose your farmed Warmog's Armor if you want to replace this item use Frozen Mallet And if you want to combine both Frozen Mallet and Warmog's Armor make sure to get an [[Atma's Impaler to get a bit of armor,crit chance and Damage based of your HP.
Frozen Mallet As I wrote above mostly I prefer Warmog's Armor but Frozen Mallet is not a bad choice on the other hand it is really cooperative with Kha'Zix because some of your basic attacks get the chance to slow enemies and also it gives you a bit of AD with a lot of HP.
Guardian Angel If you want to add a protecting veil that revives you upon death prefer GA which gives you both Armor and Magic Resistance but aswell it revives you upon death,really a great item for many players it is really good,but again I think it is viable at late-game...
Frozen Heart If you are spamming skills,you have trouble with 1v1 vs Carries or Bruisers or Assasins then its a great choice for you,it gives you an amazing armor of +99 , amazing AoE enemy attack speed debuff,cooldown reduction and well tempted +500 mana.Usefull right,and you should buy it if noone on the team has one and if you feel that you need this item more than other items like GA.
Force of Nature Well this item is one of those that I love to use and suits well with many bruisers,the movement speed buff on your champion while it has a huge regen buff which is really good if you have a fully farmed Warmog's Armor in your item slots making your regen tottally amazing,and also a very good magic resist bonus which will make you a strong bruiser upon the game.
Banshee's Veil Great item if the enemy team has players like Karthus / Blitzcrank / Amumu etc.This item is one of many that will give you magic resistance (+50) but notice this funny thing,every minute you get a permanent shield (unless someone hits you with a spell) that blocks the next spell amazing duh,and on the other hand it gives you some mana and hp making it a really strong item to boost your defences.

Laning Phase/Offtank Items [Mid/Top] (NOT FINISHED)
OK here many will say why you didn't add this section to another part of this guide and you add it as a chapter,not much to say.Just Kha'Zix doesn't need a lot of explanations if you lane with him,all you want to do with Kha'Zix on the lane is to harass the enemy and if he is playing defensively try to lane freeze on your side so you can stop him from defending and grab some easy kills with the help of your jungler or alone.
Starting with: Boots of Speed + 3x Health Potions
additionally with a Doran's Blade
Early Game: The Brutalizer + Ninja Tabi/ Mercury's Threads
Mid Game: keep the early game items while adding -> Maw of Malmortius (or a Hexdrinker) + Phage ( Frozen Mallet if possible) + Chain Vest
Late Game: Finish up your build by either going for Warmog's Armor with a FRATMAS Frozen Mallet and an Atma's Impaler however you can get a Guardian's Angel instead
of Warmog's Armor and if this still is not so good for you ad a Trinity Force instead of Frozen Mallet but of course including the Warmog's Armor and excluding Guardian's Angel
Theese are the standart ones,but I believe you can craft even some much better items and some much better compositions between Early-Mid game,however theese seem to be OK while you play as an offtank,but then you will lack at dealing that damage a Kha'Zix wants to deal.
Creeping / Jungling Route
Hmmm your jungling route,he can start at whichever buff he wants,but my 3 most prefered routes are.
Noob Friendly Route (Most commonly seen in elohell)
Advanced Route (If you got a great team)
Lizardish(Starting with red)
(About this map,you can also start from wraiths,which is a much better idea to start with,but again you need the "nice" team)
Blue numbers show where you must focus ganking.
Black numbers show what your route should be like.
Maintain the rest yourself.
Well if you are new to jungling and ranked games,read this part,although you might skip it if you know what this has to do.
Here are some Abbs you can use:
OOM (out of mana) - this can explain to the laner(s) why you can't gank atm.
OMW (on my way) - its a short way of saying Im going to gank ...
Pull (Leash) - usually used on large buffs at the start of a game ,so you can clear off big buffs easier
Cover - in order to cover bushes for an incoming invade.
Now if the enemy team invades your Red/Blue (while you are there) there are 2 things you can do.
1. Leave and go to their buff of the same kind.
2.Gather your team and wait to steal your buff from their hands,while also getting some kills if possible,making the enemy team to be forced with back or die,which means they will lose some valuable EXP on early game.
A more advanced way of teamwork,will be explained here.
Whenever you are about to gank,check if your laner(s) have low health,otherwise if they have mid to full ask them to bait the enemy players.
Anyway,ask them also to counterpick(there are tons of websites to help you there)
and ask them to communicate,while you always must help them when they ask except if you are
OOM or having low health,but if they ask you to cover their lanes when they need to go Back,don't say No,it will give you a great potential to enhance your EXP and Farm.
So about counterpicking if you are new to ranked.
the first pick goes Support,and the Second Jungle,the third one goes ADC/TOP then TOP/ADC and final one mid.
Well do you have a hard time when to choose Kha'Zix to play with?
Here are the best possibly players that co-op well with him during the game.
Ezreal a very good Carry,but he is item depended so he might need a Phage to co-op well with you.
Ashe the queen of kiting,a really good choice if she can focus the enemy carry to kite so letting you to do your job easier.
Graves not much we can say here,but having increased attack speed every time he uses his E Quickdraw that also dashes him to a nearby location of his will makes him a really good carry that can burst easily other targets.
Blitzcrank although he is not mainly a support but more of a fighter,since he has 3 abilities with CC (a pull,a silence AoE and a knock'up) he is one of the best choices so far.
Taric he can decrease armor of the enemy,while he gives you armor and he can heal along with stunning a single enemy target,a great choice if you want to get a little bit .:UBER:.
Sona buffs you and your team,debuffing enemies,really good for teamfights and can fit well
with a rengar,but she lacks of tankyness making her an easy target.
Jayce a lot of CC and a poking ability,he is really good with Kha'Zix
Malphite well he can slow targets easily and he has a knock'up ultimate,making him
an ideal choice for teamfights.
Jax a realiable stun,lots of defences(A/MR),and leaps,making him a really good laner with a Kha'Zix on his team.
Zyra lots of AoE,and high win-ratio Zyra is completely a great choice for the mid lane
Katarina she can react fast (depending on the player) to your ganks
Ahri safe harass,less deaths.
Junglers (If you are laning only)
Amumu can make fast and easy ganks,really tanky and great for teamfights.
FiddlesticksSquishy,but a very furious ganker,and he deals tons of aoe dammage in teamfights.
Warwick this is kind of tricky,if WW plays tanky then it is ok if WW builds up carry then it is all ruined,if WW builds offtank its balanced.So what is my point?Of course if you aren't
laning against Gankplank he is an ideal choice with his amazing ultimate suppressor.
This part is really important for a jungler of that kind,always jungle when your team doesn't need ganks,and when they ask you as I said above,cover their lanes,by pushing as well or just by lane freezing(last hitting) just to farm a little bit.
Otherwise,farming by killing enemies is good aswell,but remember this isn't CoD or BF3,this is LoL an RTS game where you have to be careful,you do not go for the kill,but farming is more important,if you want to snowball and compete during the game.
This part was added after getting +1 on my guide,I was about to make it but I forgot it well here we start.
Junglers that counter you are:
Rengar - Medium : Depends on what you are building,if you build Assassin,go to hide,if you build bruiser,go and kill him for the 4th evolution :)
Lee Sin - Hard : Lee Sin is a trully big problem for every K'Z out there,he focuses to steal buffs with Q and to even kill you in your jungle when possible,wards again can help you,but also invading at his red might help you to make him lose some valuable EXP,notice if you try to invade against him ask your bot lane to cover your red and imediatly after you steal his red,go to secure your red for you or for your carry so lee sin has no choice but a blue,that gives him only cdr and nothing else,making his game a hell.
Jax - Easy : When a Kha'Zix player tells me Jax is hard to counter with Kha'Zix I just laugh,Jax is really easy to counter since you just avoid his stun,thats all,then just spamm your abilities on his face,if you build the brutalizer at early game,then he will be just as easy.
Xin Zhao - Medium : Xin is not that easy and not that hard,if he gets Ninja Tabi you're outplayed,if he does that make sure to counter jungle immediatly.
Malphite - Easy : Without Ninja Tabi he is a very easy target if you are playing Kha'Zix,as I show you,having AD,a small ammount of AP to heal with your W Void Spike and make sure to have a The Brutalizer during early game to destroy him.
And The ones you counter are:
Your main damage output is your abilities,teemo can be easy for you since he has only a blinding to your auto attacks.
Cause if you stack that much Armor Penetration and some critical on your Q,you can bust Shen off.
Well Udyr can be counter jungled really easily from the assassin of the void.

And by the way Kha'Zix mostly focuses to counter carries,nothing else,thats your main role in the game,but of course do not forget Top/Mid lanes aswell,but its great to shut down enemy carries.
Compairsion to Rengar
Well,to be honest we all know that Kha'Zix is similar to Rengar,as similar as Lux is to Morgana.
Their Q ( Taste Their Fear and Savagery ) Including the most damage output mostly.
Their W ( Void Spike and Battle Roar ) Healing them,but lets talk a little bit about this, Kha'Zix so far can heal only when he is close to the explosion,so that means you need to be close to targets when you need to heal,but Rengar gains only a buff armor/magic resistance,except if he has full(5) ferocity stacks.
Their R ( Void Assault + Thrill of the Hunt ) are really similar,but here is where Rengar can outclass Kha'Zix.
Why is this happening? Rengar gets 5 ferocity stacks,wich refreshes all cooldowns and that can help him even use his Q Savagery two times withing 1 second,which makes him a hyper anti carry. But there are some pottentials you can use with Kha'Zix to outplay him because when Rengar goes stealth with his ultimate,he can make a free leap,while his stealth can be casted only one time,and his stealth lasts for 7 seconds,however Kha'Zix has a stealth that lasts 3 seconds,and you can go stealth 2 times and 3 if you evolve his ultimate,which
can be really bad to compare to Rengar's ultimate.
1.Use an oracle,well his stealth will be really bad after this
2.Be aware of his ferocity stacks and be careful when he has ultimate
3.Use your ulti to take less damage from him while also to escape so his ulti goes on cooldown.
4.Spam as much as possible your Void Spikes to heal.
This is my "short" Kha'Zix Guide for now,soon I will upgrade this guide and add more,it took me around 3 hours to make this,and I know its not very detailed and it is bad,but I promise you that this guide can work really well with a great player.
Also soon I will add a solotop part for this guide showing you another gamestyle with Kha'Zix.
Aswell I want to ask sorry for my bad english mistakes.We'll fix this.
