Lore

For those who brave the harsh seas of Runeterra, attaining one's own ship and crew is the pinnacle of success. Sarah Fortune, a well-respected (some would say legendary) bounty hunter from Bilgewater, was able to achieve this feat just after her sixteenth birthday, etching out her name as the go-to gal for resolving special troubles. No bounty was too difficult or too dangerous for her feminine charm and her renowned use of her twin pistols, ''Shock and Awe''. Her success gave her the means to legitimately purchase her own ship... with a little flirtatious haggling, of course. Things weren't always so fortunate for Miss Fortune, though. When she was young, trade ships began to dot the horizon of her quiet home in the northern shores of Blue Flame Island's largest chunk. Trade routes brought piracy, and the inhabitants soon found themselves caught in a frenzy of pillage.

One day, young Sarah returned home to hear gunshots and screaming. Her front door was smashed open; inside, she saw her mother lying in a pool of blood. A sudden blow to her head made her collapse next to her slain mother. The last thing she could remember were her attacker's red eyes, as his face was blocked by a rogue's bandana. Miss Fortune has a strong distrust for pirates and she finds herself constantly bickering with the infamous Gangplank (the only captain to resist her charms) over the direction of Bilgewater politics. Her two goals: to unite the people of Bilgewater, making them into a strong and independent society, and to find the pirate who killed her mother. To that end, she has entered the League of Legends as a champion, trading her skills for the wealth and influence that will help her accomplish both.

Introduction

Hi guys and welcome to my first legitamate build featuring my main Miss Fortune. I've played her for a while now trying AD carry, AP carry, and even hybrid. While i loved each playstyle and each had their pros/cons, i found playing her as an AD carry didnt utilize the damage of Make it Rain, Impure Shots and her ultimate Bullet Time was only there for flashy effects or clearing minions waves, doing little to no damage in team fights. AP carry Miss Fortune is probably one of the most fun champs to play IMO but there is almost no reason for you to now play a mage character instead even with your crazy aoe damage. With your long cooldown on Make it Rain you can't really do to much other than use Lich Bane procs and possibly deathfire's grasp. Yet again, no real reason to not play a typical AP carry instead of AP MF. Thats why i came up with these two builds and did surprisingly AMAZING! Anyway i'm rambling now so heres the builds, comment and let me know what you think but i plan on adding more to this later! To make it easier to clarify, This is Tri-Force build while This is AS/AP Madreds build.

Skill Usage

Oh what a wonderful passive...sorta. I personally love this passive. Gives you great mobility to get threw the jungle to grab dragon, baron, help turrets, get back to turrets after backing when teleport is on cooldown, and its expecially useful in harassing and fights as long as u dont get it. Makes it WAY easier to dodge skill shots, and lets you run up, make it rain, and get out before the enemy can get u back. Don't forget if you get hit you'll be as slow as the rest of them though.

Pretty awesome skill for both builds. Works almost like a double shot since you auto attack then use Double Up. You can also use it to last hit minions or to harass from incredibly range. It hits targets behind the first one hit, so try to use it on the last minion in the row or even place yourself so the champion is straight ahead of you with a minion between the two of you. Shoot the minion and hopefully it will bounce to the enemy champ for pretty good damage.

Probably my favorite skill in the game other than her ult...extremly easy to farm with, awesome damage, and a pretty decent slow. Your bread and butter skill in both builds. In order to farm successfully with it, place it directly between the caster and melee minions. It should definitly whipe out the caster minions and usually the melee ones. If it doesnt, auto attack each minion once or twice while Make it Rain is happening to ensure you get the cs for them. Always lead enemy champs with this, slightly hitting them but putting it more behind them so they either have to run into you, or into your make it rain. Alot of people underestimate the damage of this skill since not many people max it first, and even less people stack AP items on MF. If they decide to stand in it, take advantage of their stupidity and throw it on them till they realize their health is gone.

A very interesting skill. While they cumulative ap damage isn't very noticable, the attack speed bonus and healht regen reduction is awesome. I explain using this skill more in the gameplay sections of the builds.

Probably the greatest skill created in all of League of Legends...and you even get a hysterical laugh to accompany the skill as you nuke your entire enemy team in the face. HUGE damage with these builds since you actually have magic pen but also reasonably hard to use. Try not to waste the ult, but also dont just hold on to it not using it at crucial moments. It can also be used as a wall to block off an enemies retreat during a team fight you happen to show up late to. I explain more about this skill again in the Gameplay sections.

IMPORTANT NOTE ALMOST THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN THE GUIDE! One of my biggest tricks in the game is to run after an enemy (as they are running in lane not to chase for a kill) then stop and pretend like im turning back, the enemy will turn back to chase you now 99% of the time. I don't know why people do it, but they do. Instead of continuing to run away, i run back for about a second, then turn and run towards them again. Almost always they will run straight into you and you can hit them with some skills. Not only useful on Miss Fortune but on any champion in the game. Sorry it's kind of confusing to explain what i do

Tri-Force AD Hybrid

This build is ment to be used if your going to be filling the AD carry role. The extra magic pen from boots/masteries also make your ultimate do rediculous damage from a safe distance while still being able to do the incredibly dps of any AD carry. It also allows u easy early game harass and farming. You have to either take a solo lane or lane with a support/tank that wont take your cs. Anyone with a reliable stun is always welcome to keep enemies in make it rain or simple auto attack harass.

Runes

I know, i know, magic pen AND armor pen runes? yes, althought this build is focused on being an AD carry, her ultimate happens to do magic damage that the same time, along with make it rain. The magic pen will help you harass early game and make your ultimate devastating to anyone without significant magic resist throughout the entire match. I prefer the health seals for survivability since MF is rather squishy, and the ap glyphs are to help with your farm with make it rain earlier.

Masteries

Somewhat classic 21/0/9 masteries. Giving you extra magic pen thanks to Archaic Knowledge and armor pen thanks to Sunder . Only take the point in Cripple if you want to take Exhaust, if not, throw it into Deadliness

Summoner Spells

Flash Teleport
I take these for a couple reasons.

Since MF has no real escape other than the slow from Make it Rain and her Strut flash is excelent for escaping a gank or even getting that oh so wonderful first blood. Tons of uses from going over walls to chasing, flash is always one of my spells.

Great for helping out a turret/teammate, picking up a kill, gaining some farm, or backdooring turrets. I almost always take this expecially if no teammates have it. If i already have alot of teleports on my team i take...

Excellent for first blood, throwing it on the enemy carry in a teamfight, or give yourself a guaranteed victory in 1v1. Can also be used to escape or chase.

Items

Now its time for some explaning.

Start with a

for multiple reasons,
  • extra health for survivability
  • bonus ap for harass and farming with Make it Rain
  • mana regen to stay in lane longer

Once you have 1260 gold or even 1610 grab

and

and later upgrade to

Sheen procs well with your Double Up for some great harass and damage, while sorc shoes will make your Make it Rain and Bullet Time really shine throughout the game.

If the match is going well grab a

and you'll see a HUGE spike in your damage expecially on Double Up due to sheen

if its not going so well grab your

first either getting your Blasting Wand first if you need more farm or Pickaxe if you feel you need more damage. Rageblade will add some nice damage to all your abilities, as well as attack speed if you can keep up the stacks. The biggest change will be the damage of your ult which should go up significantly.

Next up is to finish your

This baby has the highest flat AD in the game and with your make it rain you should be able to keep it full for most of the game. Great addition to your AD.

Lastly you finish your

This adds an extra 50% to your proc (from sheen) a slow, movement speed, attack speed, ad, ap, etc etc etc. Pretty awesome item IMO

Situational items

Sometimes if the match is going REAL bad early game or they have some armor i like to grab a

The AD can give you an edge as well as the armor pen, i also like the nice CD Reduction

Defensive Items
You obviously need some sort of defense but evaluate the other team. If their damage is split well go with a

If they are doing mostly AD,

is always a safe choice

and if they are mainly do magic damage,

is always nice to have. I almost always grab banshee's anyways since it can really save you in a pinch.

Gameplay

Early Game
Start off by either going mid, solo top (if its 1v1) or duo lane with a tank or support. Make sure they don't take all of your cs (which you find alot of in normal matches). Harass with your Make it Rain, but try to lead the enemy with it, their first reaction is to run back and by the time they realize they are running into your aoe, over a quarter of their health is gone. If they are keeping you from last hitting, you can also use Make it Rain to quickly farm minions or pushing a lane. Don't be afraid to throw in some auto attacks also to harass just make sure you dont' get to hurt yourself. You can also use Double Up to harass or last hit minions but i dont recomend it since it sucks your mana up pretty quickly. Only activate Impure Shots if your trying to secure a kill, the enemy champ is healing or using a Health Potion or if your attacking their turret.

Level 6 and Mid-Game
So you get your ult Bullet Time, now if you havn't already gotten a kill, you should be able to. If your lane is pushed and your enemy isn't in the lane, go gank another lane (or gank mid anytime if your bottom as long as your partner is in the lane). I'll break this up into two sections, ganking and 1v1 killing.

1v1 fight

Make sure they are already at about half health (or a little more if your higher leveled, better geared, have some sort of advantage). try to bait them into fighting you. Make sure you arent near their turret either. Drop a make it rain slightly behind them but still hitting them and immediatly start your ult. The damage from the two skills should be enough to kill them. If not strut and flash at them and pick up the kill. If they are sitting at your turret you can also go into the brush towards the side of their turret and pull off the same combo there. Nothing better then murdering a lousy turret hugger! I normally outlane almost anyone even if i only farm. Its ok to not get any kills as long as you don't die and you deny your enemy last hits or experience!

Ganking

Now this is alot easier expecially if your allies have some sort of stun. Have them stun your enemy in the same combo listed above, or simply place a Make it Rain ahead of the enemy in the path they would take if they were to run back to their turret. If you pick up the kill and none of your lanes needs help, push the turret with your teammates (or alone if you picked up the kill 1v1).

Mid game is the time where i find ganks the most, always be aware of where your enemies are and hopefully you have a team that knows how to call "MIA".

Late Game

So your pretty much a monster now. No seriously, everyone should probably fear you. Stick with your team or backdoor turrets. In teamfights, wait for your team to initiate (or the other team) and stick to the back. drop a make it rain or ult if you feel like you can catch the bulk of the team. Its expecially easy to do if you have a Galio Amumu Sona Malphite (or any champ with a large aoe stun ult). Don't forget you are also an AD carry so you can also auto attack and use your Double Up for some sick damage.

AS/AP

This is my personal favorite build. I kinda tried to upload a picture of my recently successful games with the build but apparantly im a failure and can't manage to do it. If i wasnt in a rush i would take the time to figure it out but ill figure that out at a later time. Some people may rage and say "your maining Madred's Bloodrazor thats ONLY a counter item" or "AP MF SUCKSSSSSS" because they don't realize even though you've told them a million times your going AS/AP/Madreds but anyways, let your l33t ownage do the talking instead. Your team will thank you for your amazingness in due time. Since this build does almost strictly magic damage, make sure your entire team isnt magic dmg before choosing this build, unless you plan on getting alot of pen.

Runes

Pretty solid caster runes. I like the flat AP for early game dominance and the health for survivability. You can take the MP5 seals if you feel like you will be goign oom often or if you don't have the health seals yet. Obviously, you do magic damage hense the magic pen marks.

Masteries

Yet again solid caster set up. Focuses on keeping your mana up early game (you shouldnt have any mana issues late game) along with some magic pen in the offence tree. Make sure to spec into whatever Summoner Spells you take.

Summoner Spells

See the Summoner Spells section from the other build, or ill repost it here if your really that lazy.

Since MF has no real escape other than the slow from Make it Rain and her Strut flash is excelent for escaping a gank or even getting that oh so wonderful first blood. Tons of uses from going over walls to chasing, flash is always one of my spells.

Ignite is also a viable choice i guess if you want first blood. Really only good early game with this build tho. I rarely take this.

Items

Yet again start with a

for multiple reasons,
  • extra health for survivability
  • bonus ap for harass and farming with Make it Rain
  • mana regen to stay in lane longer

*NOTE~~~You can also take an
and a
if your feeling like you wont need the survivability or mana regen to get a head start on your next item, the

i take this to later build into your Nashor's Tooth but i mainly take it so early for the extra ap, the cooldown reduction so you can spam your moves more, and the mp regen so when your carelessly spamming your moves to harass and farm you dont go oom so fast.

next are your

I take these yet again for dmg with Make it Rain, Bullet Time Impure Shots and even later your Madred's Bloodrazor. Yup all magic dmg so you take the magic pen boots, easy enough?

Next is your bread and butter item. Causes most of your damage other than maybe your ult.

Quite the wonderful item. Procs with your Double Up and makes your auto attacks shred through the enemy no matter how much health they have. the fact that they can't even regen their health with spell vamp or life steal thanks to Impure Shots makes these even better. Oh not to mention the attack speed bonus from Impure Shots also...yup thats why we max that skill second since well u kno...its important and stuff...

This item also greatly increases your attack speed so those procs from your bloodrazor just keep coming. The cooldown reduction is also nice to be able to ult more frequently and slow/dmg with Make it Rain using Impure Shots more is also valuable.

AD and AP and attack speed. The AD isnt really THAT helpful but hey, adds to the dmg of your ult and i guess a little auto attack dmg. The real perk is the bonus attack speed (more Bloodrazor procs...seeing a pattern yet?) along with some more ap to up the dmg on Make it Rain and Bullet Time.

Lastly you get your

This item causes a HUGE spike in your ap which increases the dmg on both your Make it Rain and Bullet Time significantly. Since your auto attacks will already be godly thanks to that bloodrazor, might as well have your skills be just as good right?

I guess lastly for real this time, get a defensive item (sometimes u get it earlier in the build if you need the survivability). Explanations are in the items section of the previous build for defensive items. I personally favor Guardian Angel.

Gameplay

This build is played alot like the Tri-Force build, but just with more auto attacks. The biggest difference is you don't really use Double Up to much, and you use Impure Shots alot more. Make sure if you think you will hit the target at least 3 times that you activate this skill before hand. Also at the start of any 1v1 fight activate it. Read up on the other gameplay section for the other build for now and i will update this one later.

Proof of Success!

Finally figured out how to upload the pics. I know i have an eve and nidalee game thrown in that i didnt feel like cropping out sooo o well, i play other champs too.

Conclusion

Well guys i hope you enjoyed the build (sorry some parts are sloppy, like i said, first legit build). I also hope to see better Miss Fortunes out there now. Shes not an underplayed champion, but she is definitly rarely played well. I will most likely update this shortly but leave me some comments letting me know what u think (both good and bad). Just if for some reason your team does horribly, expect to be raged at by your entire team since any sort of build thats against the norm is usually the first one to be raged it. It wont matter if you go 42/-5/87...if you lose, the team will still blame you. Thanks again guys for reading!
