Introduction

Hey, im a season 4 platinum player on Euw Server and Lulu is one of my favorite and best champs. I always wanted a champ which can be played at every lane and Lulu, which already was one of my favorite champs seemed to work pretty well for this purpose. Im sure im not the best Lulu player and this guides are maybe not perfect, but i think i figured out some nice builds which at least can be used at plat elo and are also able to carry games as i experienced. It is my first guide and i can recommend jhoihoi's "Making A Guide" guide which really helped me out with the coding possibilities. And also visit the "Mid Lulu Microguide" which gave me a few thoughts about rune changes.

Please Comment and Rate my Guide and try to give me constructive criticism which could help me to make it better :D

My Games

This are some stats of my gold 4 smurf where i started to main Lulu and tried all my Builds. Im also leveling a smurf called Lulu Ap in the moment which i created long time ago when Lulu mid wasn't that popular. My Smurf is now also Plat with a 67,9% win rate where the most game looses came from support, because its my weakest position in the moment.

> > >
I always max out Glitterlance first, because its the main dmg output ability which also contains a nice slow. The next ability is the Help, Pix! which does a nice amount of dmg or gives a shield and can be used in nice combination's with the Glitterlance ability. Then i recommend to max the ult (take it every possible time) Wild Growth, because of the nice cc and health which it includes. At least max Whimsy since its a utility ability and isn't needed that much in the early phase of the game.

E - Q Combo

For the Help, Pix! - Glitterlance Combo just use your Help, Pix! on a minion or the enemy champion if he is in range and then move your mouse in the direction of the enemy champion/-s you want to hit. Its a bit timing needed and i also prefer to use smartcast to be faster with it. By using it in the right way you can poke, secure kills or create engage opportunities for your team. There is only one problem with it, which is that you need a lot of mana to use it and therefore Athene's Unholy Grail or a blue buff is needed to use this combo more often.

How To Use Spells

Its important to use ure spells wise, because you got a low mana pool at the beginning and missed Glitterlance can be bad if you want to trate properly. Also learn to use ur Help, Pix! and then your Glitterlance to get extra range and some nice combos (can be spammed if you got a blue buff, so nice to poke and also nice to catch someone out of position because of the Glitterlance slow). Use ur Wild Growth on the one who is focussed by the enemy team to safe him and knock up as many enemys as possible. Lulu Whimsy can be used to engage and also to disengage and avoid ganks so it's pretty nice in lane and also in fights (you can speed yourself, your team or polymorph your enemy). I recommend using smartcast and the "alt" + skill combo to be faster and be able to use Wild Growth, Whimsy and Help, Pix! at urself fast enough to avoid ganks or dmg in fights.

Pros / Cons

Pros

+Nice Engage / Disengage

+Ult scales well into Late

+Safe Laner

+Great Poke

+Additional Dmg with AA

Lulu is one of the best champs in the recent meta at many lanes like bot top and mid and this is because she is really safe in the laning phase if you ward and play safe and is one of the champs who is able to carry and win the lane easily with her great poke abilitys. I also like the additional dmg with the auto attacks which can be really strong combined with Lich Bane. Her ult is also pretty nice in teamfights and she overall is a strong champ with crazy good utility.

Cons

+Squishy

+Not that much Dmg Late

+Hard to Master

+Can't jump over Walls

The weaknesses of Lulu are that she is squishy especially in the early game and you need to be a bit carefull with her at every lane so try to outpoke your enemys. She is also not the best dmg dealer in the late game, but more a support carry who helps her team with her utility so the best thing is if you got a strong dmg dealer in the team which Lulu can support with her ult and shield slow combos. Another thing is that she isn't easy to play, because she need's a lot of mana in the early game (missed spells can be really bad) and she can't escape over walls without flash, but therefore she got a nice movement speed with her Whimsy
Back to Top

Teamwork

Lulu is a good teamwork and teamfight champ which can use her spells at her team mates when they are in trouble or for example her w to speed them up to creat nice engage opportunities. Use your ult wise in teamfights to protect a focused target or an allied champion who can knock as much enemy's as possible or sometimes strong champs like shyvanna which jump in and destroy the whole enemy team with your ult.

Runes:

Runes

Fleet Footwork

Greater Seal of Scaling Health to be more tanky in the late game.
greater mark of hybrid penetration

greater mark of hybrid penetration to make your own spells and aa more effective.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist because you can avoid a lot of incoming ap dmg.

Greater Quintessence of Ability Power to have a nice base of ability power from the beginning

Masteries:

Core Items:

Athene's Unholy Grail, Rabadon's Deathcap and Void Staff are most important items when you play lulu mid, because they give you enough mana and cooldown reduction at the beginning ( Athene's Unholy Grail), massive dmg with a great amount of ap ( Rabadon's Deathcap), and magic penetration that make your spells hurt ( Void Staff). I also recommend the Sorcerer's Shoes early to avoid some ganks, be faster at every needed place and have a nice additional magic penetration.

Situational Items:

You can choose 2 of these items to complete your build.

Zhonya's Hourglass for enemy teams which always focus you, because you can save yourself with the nice active for a few seconds where your team can help you or you get your cooldowns up again.

Lich Bane if you want to splitpush, because your auto attacks get an extra amount of dmg and it also scales nice with the passive of lulu which also deals magic dmg.

Liandry's Torment when you need some extra magic penetration and life in fights or the enemy team got much health, because it deals 6% (of the enemys life) additonaly over a few secs.

Abyssal Mask if your enemys got many ap based champs or if only ap champs of the enemy team are feed.

Morellonomicon can be build instead of Athene's Unholy Grail if you play against a ad lane and you don't need the extra magic resistance. It also gives important stats like cooldown reduction a nice amount of ap and mana reg which is very important at lulu.

Summoner Spells

Heal can replace ignite if you play against burst champs like le blanc or the enemy team got an annoying early jungler like shaco to be safe in lane. Its also pretty nice in teamfights, because you heal yourself and the nearest allied champion. I prefer it nowadays, because you are much safer in lane and you mostly don't even need ignite against, because of your E-Q Combo which already has a long range and can secure kills easily.

Flash is the most important Summoner Spell, because you can use it in various situations to escape or engage.

I use Ignite to dominate my lane and like to combine flash-spells-ignite combos with lulu. Its also good against champs with healing abilities, because you reduce their healing effects.

Me:

How To Trade In Lane:

Try to poke your enemys down with auto attacks (especially against melee champs) and your Glitterlance. I also use my Glitterlance to push the lane pretty fast and get mana back when you kill a minion (with Doran's Ring), if you also hit it correctly you can poke your enemy aswell with it. When you got a blue buff you are able to spam your ability's, doge skill shot's with your Whimsy activated and poke from long range with your e - q combo.

Athene's Unholy Grail, Rabadon's Deathcap and Void Staff are most the important items when you play lulu top, because they give you enough mana and cooldown reduction at the beginning Athene's Unholy Grail (it can be replaced by Morellonomicon when you want to do more dmg early especially usefull against ad champs where you don't need the magic resistance) , massive dmg with a great amount of ap Rabadon's Deathcap, and magic penetration that make your spells hurt Void Staff.

Lich Bane if you want to splitpush, because your auto attacks get an extra amount of dmg and it also scales nice with the passive of lulu which also deals magic dmg.

Sorcerer's Shoes - Homeguard if you want to deal more dmg in fights or the enemy team builds many mr. items, its also nice if you are the only ap champ of your team and you have to deal the magic dmg.

Ninja Tabi - Homeguard if you play against ad heavy enemy teams or you got problems in lane against a strong ad champ.

Mercury's Treads - Homeguard if you play against a heavy cc team, or you want to have some extra mr. because of strong ap champs at your lane or at the enemy team.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity - Homeguard work pretty well at lulu, because her skills got a pretty long cooldown and they give her a lot of utility with 15% cd reduction and movement speed.

Summoner Spells:

Flash is the most important Summoner Spell, because you can use it in various situations to escape or engage.

I use Ignite to dominate my lane and like to combine flash-spells-ignite combos with lulu. Its also good against champs with healing abilities, because you reduce their healing effects. But i nowadays recommend Teleport at toplane because of the things explained at the tp icon below.

Teleport is nice if you want to push your lane, want to rome and help your team or if you want to splitpush. I nowadays prefer to play with tp at toplane, because you can get back to lane faster and provide more presence over the map with it. You are also often ganked by the enemy jungler because most champs at top can't trade with your poke so that they need help and that's why it is good to be able to get back to your lane and save your turret. In addition to that you are able to get more experience with tp than with ignite which can be very important.

How To Trade In Lane:

You can trade really good against melee characters which need to last hit minions from a short range. Just always use your Glitterlance when they want to last hit, but keep an eye on your mana pool. Its also important to auto attack them and zone them out when they are low.

Masteries:

Core Items:

Blade of the Ruined King is just a real strong item which gives you attack speed, lifesteal and also has a nice movement slow for the enemy as active where you also gain movementspeed.

Trinity Force is the strongest item at ad lulu, because it gives like every needed stat (attack speed, sheen effect, health, mana, critical strike chance, movement speed), but cooldown reduction.

Wit's End if you want a bit more magic dmg with your auto attacks and maybe also need mr. It also scales good with Lulu passive, because of the attack speed and the reduction of the enemy's magic resistance.

Situational Items:

You can choose 2 of these items and one of the shoes to complete your build

Mercury's Treads - Homeguard if you play against a heavy cc team, or you want to have some extra mr. because of strong ap champs at your lane or at the enemy team.

Ninja Tabi - Homeguard if you play against ad heavy enemy teams or you got problems in lane against a strong ad champ.

Frozen Heart is nice against aa based champs because it reduces their attack speed and it also has some nice armor and cooldown reduction stats.

Youmuu's Ghostblade can be bought when you need some extra dmg, cooldown reduction and critical hits. In addition to that it got a nice active where you gain speed and attack speed over a few seconds.

Banshee's Veil is pretty nice if you need some magic resistance and want to block annoying spells of the enemy's like Nidalee spears, stuns, grabs or strong burst combos.

Spirit Visage can replace Banshees Veil, because it also gives a nice amount of magic resistance and also some cooldown reduction which is never bad at lulu.
Zephyr is a pretty nice ad item which gives attack speed, cooldown reduction, dmg and the unique passive tenacity (reduces slows, stuns, taunts etc by 35%). All this is really nice at lulu top, but don't buy Mercury's Treads and Zephyr together, because both got the same unique passive so it doesn't stack.

Summoner Spells:

Flash is the most important Summoner Spell, because you can use it in various situations to escape or engage.

greater mark of hybrid penetration to make your own spells and aa more effective.

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist outscale the flat ones +don't need mr early.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed to clear camps faster and get do more dmg at ganks.

Masteries:

Core Items:

Stalker's Blade - Devourer seems to bee the best jungle item for Lulu ad jungle (thanks Random Moped for pointing that out), because it gives you a great amount of attack speed and additionally a nice passive which lets you deal 25 magic dmg every hit and this dmg per hit can also be increased by big monster kills, assists or champion kills. The most important thing it provides is a passive which allows you to smite your enemy and reduce their movement speed for 2 seconds. This slow is also important for Lulu to escape or catch enemy's and it also gives her a better gank potential.

Trinity Force is the strongest item at jungle lulu, because it gives like every needed stat (attack speed, sheen effect, health, mana, critical strike chance, movement speed), but cooldown reduction.

Blade of the Ruined King is just a real strong item which gives you attack speed, lifesteal and also has a nice movement slow for the enemy as active where you also gain movementspeed.

Frozen Heart is nice against aa based champs because it reduces their attack speed and it also has some nice armor and cooldown reduction stats which work really well on lulu.

Situational Items:

Choose 1 of the boots and 1 of the other items

Mercury's Treads - Homeguard if you play against a heavy cc team, or you want to have some extra mr. because of strong ap champs at the enemy team.

Ninja Tabi - Homeguard if you play against ad heavy enemy teams or you got problems in lane against a strong ad jungler.

Berserker's Greaves can be bought if you got tanky laners and want to get some more dmg with the extra amount of attack speed which is always good at Lulu.

Wit's End if you want a bit more magic dmg with your auto attacks and maybe also need mr. It also scales good with lulu's passive.

Banshee's Veil is pretty nice if you need some magic resistance and want to block annoying spells of the enemy's like Nidalee spears, stuns, grabs or strong burst combos.

Randuin's Omen can be build in addition to Frozen heart if the enemy team is heavily ad based. It also gives a nice amount of health and has a nice passive which slows the attack speed of the enemy you attack with aa and another active which slows nearby enemys.

Phantom Dancer is pretty nice if you want some extra attack speed, crit chance and a bit mobility with 6 movement speed and a passive which allows you to run through units. I would build it if you don't need to build that tanky and want to deal more dmg.

Zephyr is a pretty nice item, because it gives nice stats like dmg, attack speed, cooldown reduction and movement speed. In addition to that you get the same passive of the Mercury's Treads which reduces the duration of stuns, slows etc. If you build it you need to buy Ninja Tabi because the passive is unique.

Ranger's Trailblazer - Devourer is a possible alternative for Stalker's Blade - Devourer, because its a better oportunity if you want to farm early and clear your jungle faster. I would take it against enemies which are hard to gank (for example LeBlanc, Renekton, Ezreal) or maybe when your lanes push to hard to gank.

Summoner Spells:

Flash is the most important Summoner Spell, because you can use it in various situations to escape or engage.

Smite is just a need as a jungler to clear your jungle faster, secure buffs and other big monster's like dragon or baron. I would recommend to always play with it as a jungler.

How To Trade In Lane:

Avoid trades against other junglers in the most situations, because you need a few items to get strong and be able to kite them down. If you are ahead its really hard to get away from you because you got various slows with your auto attacks and spells (including bork active).

My Games:

Spoiler: Click to view

How to Gank a Lane:

Try to gank unwarded or pushed lanes of the enemy team to secure kills and don't waste time on gank tries. If you know the enemy team doesn't got a summoner spell like heal or flash ready consider this as a possible gank opportunity. When you gank use your w to speed yourself up and get in range for your e - q combo and also try to hit as many auto attacks as possible. First focus just one of the enemy's and if you got a safe kill turn around to the next one, when you gank for example the opponent botlane. You can also let your teammate bate a fight with the enemy and then polymorph him or ult your ally to secure your ally's life and get a free kill. Its also important to get objectives like towers or dragons, so when you got a kill for example at toplane you can try to push the tower so that you secure an objective. If you get a kill at midlane or botlane, or your enemy's botlane has to back because of low health you can think about a dragon.

Here are 2 different examples of a gank, first one is a botlane gank where i knew that Caitlyn don't got flash and they pushed the lane and second one is a gank where i saved riven with my ult and got a kill + a tower after that.

Lulu Support Guide

Runes:

Runes

Precision

Greater Seal of Health so that you aren't as squishy as normal lulu.
greater mark of hybrid penetration

greater mark of hybrid penetration to make your own spells and aa more effective.

Greater Glyph of Magic Resist to get some magic resist early.

Greater Quintessence of Armor really help against early incoming dmg.

Masteries:

Core Items:

Frost Queen's Claim is a nice support item which gives you a good amount of ability power, cooldown reduction a nice passive where you get extra gold and additional dmg (just at buildings) when you attack enemy champions or buildings. At least it also has a nice active which slows your enemys in a line and deals dmg.

Ruby Sightstone is needed as a support to keep your lane and your map warded to win the game with a nice map vision (easier to avoid ganks or picks of your team and enables your team to pick enemys of). In addition to the ward active it also gives a good amount of health.

Mikael's Blessing gives you a bit cooldown reduction, magic resistance and mana regeneration which is always good on lulu, but the more important thing is the active which removes stuns, slows, roots, taunts and fears and in additon to that also heals your allys. Its really nice to save your carry's against cc heavy enemys.

Situational Items:

Choose 1 of the boots and 2 of the other items

Ninja Tabi - Homeguard if you play against ad heavy enemy teams or you got problems in lane against a strong adc.

Boots of Mobility - Homeguard if you want to rome and help other lanes or if you want to be able to chase and escape with the additional movement speed bonus which is activated if you aren't attacked for a few seconds.

Mercury's Treads - Homeguard if you play against a heavy cc team, or you want to have some extra mr. because of strong ap champs at the enemy team/your lane.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity - Homeguard are really usefull at Lulu support, because she needs the extra cooldown reduction to provide more utility and i would recommend them if you don't already got 40% cooldown reduction with your other items.

Ardent Censer is pretty nice if you got a auto attack based adc like vayne, because your shields give them a attack speed bonus and you also get mana reg, cooldown reduction and ability power.

Banshee's Veil is pretty nice if you need some magic resistence and want to block annoying spells of the enemys like Nidalee spears, stuns, grabs or strong burst combos.

Locket of the Iron Solari is nice if you want to get a bit more tanky or want to give your nearby team some tanky stats (mr. and armor). It also has a active which gives your nearby ally's a little shield.

Randuin's Omen is nice against strong ad enemy teams, because it gives you a nice amount of health and armor and additionally a unique passive which slows the attack speed of the enemy's hitting you by 10% and an active which slows nearby enemy's by 35%. I would recommend it when you need to get more tanky, because the enemy team easily focus you out in fights.

Turbo Chemtank is pretty nice if you want to bring even more utility than Lulu already has for your team, because of its active which grants 60% movement speed to nearby allies (and schockwave which slwos nearby enemys for 80%) which can be usefull in various situations. Additionally you gain health and mana which are always pretty nice at Lulu.

Summoner Spells:

Flash is the most important Summoner Spell, because you can use it in various situations to escape or engage.

I use Ignite if i want to be able to burst the enemy champions. I poke them down till they are below half life and then follow up with an all ability combo + Ignite. Don't forget to ping your adc to help you if you want to do stuff like that.

I use Exhaust if i want to be able to save my carry against ganks or slow the other adc down in lane or in team fights, because it also reduces the damage and his attack speed.

How To Trade In Lane:

Play really aggresive as lulu especially against bad early game champs or low range champs which you can poke down really easy. Try to hit 2 at the same time with your q to get ahead pretty fast. Its hard against sustain champs, because you have to rely on your burst and they can heal your poke easily back up.

Lulu Adc Guide

Runes:

Greater Seal of Health to have a bit more life in the early stages of the game.

greater mark of hybrid penetration to make your own spells and aa more effective.

Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist to reduce early dmg of ap supports.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed work great with her passive.

Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage to have a bit more base ad.

Masteries:

Core Items:

Ionian Boots of Lucidity - Homeguard work pretty well at lulu, because her skills got a pretty long cooldown and they give her a lot of utility with 15% cd reduction and movement speed.

Youmuu's Ghostblade if you want a bit more cooldown reduction, attack dmg, crit chance, armor penetration and a nice active which gives movement speed and attack speed. Its overall a really nice Adc item in the recent meta and fits well with the lulu adc style.

Trinity Force is the strongest item at adc Lulu, because it gives like every needed stat (attack speed, sheen effect, health, mana, critical strike chance, movement speed), but cooldown reduction.

Last Whisper is needed to deal dmg through the enemys armor, its not an early item because you don't need it that much at your lane but its important in team fights to destroy the tanks.

Situational Items:

Optional Boots

Choose 2 if you just want to build dmg and 1 if you need to protect yourself a bit

Choose 1 if you need to protect yourself.

Berserker's Greaves - Homeguard can be bought instead of ionian boots, if you need more attack speed and not that much cooldown reduction.

Blade of the Ruined King is just a real strong item which gives you attack speed, lifesteal and also has a nice movement slow for the enemy as active where you also gain movementspeed.

Mercurial Scimitar is nice if you play against cc heavy teams, because of the active which removes all debuffs and grants 50% movement speed for 1 sec aswell. This active can save yourself in many tricky situations where you are able to remove the crowd controll of the enemy's and save yourself with your Whimsy and your Wild Growth. Moreover it provides a great amount of attack dmg and a bit of magic resistence. If you need the debuff removing active earlier you can also go for Quicksilver Sash first and upgrade it later.

Phantom Dancer gives a nice amount of attack speed, crit chance and movement speed like Statikk Shiv and with the passive you can run through minions which can be usefull sometimes (minion block is annoying).

Banshee's Veil is pretty nice if you need some magic resistance and want to block annoying spells of the enemy's like Nidalee spears, stuns, grabs or strong burst combos.

Guardian Angel should be build if you always get killed fast in team fights and want to be able to get revived with the passive. It also gives a nice amount of magic resistance and armor.

Summoner Spells:

Flash is the most important Summoner Spell, because you can use it in various situations to escape or engage.

Heal is important to save yourself from incoming burst dmg, ignites and escape dangerous situations. You can also use it to engage because it gives you a movement speed buff when you use it (but i wouldn't recommend this with lulu because you already got your w which gives more movement speed and you don't need to waste heal then). Additional it heals the nearest ally so you can also safe them or bait enemy's with it.

How To Trade In Lane:

Push early till lvl 2 and try to poke them with your extra spell. Try to avoid much minion dmg, because when you attack the enemy chamnpions they start to focus you (its very important in the early game). Also try to wait till your enemy's use important spells and then try to go in with your own spells. Keep in mind which summoners you and your enemy's got when you want to all in.

Examples of a Lulu adc penta

This is a funny one with surroundings of korean shoutcasters:

And this one is a 1 vs 5 penta by xCrowZer:

Ranked Play

Lulu is a strong champ in the recent meta who can carry games easily when she is played right

Mid

She is also a really nice mid champ who can destroy every other midlaner with her range and mobility. If you place wards right she is really hard to gank with her Whimsy and her Glitterlance slow especially if shes 6 and can safe herself with her ult. Moreover she can rome pretty well and is able to force her opponents out of lane with multiple poke combinations (e-q combo, e on herself to block enemy auto attacks and then auto, q when the enemy walks up to the farm and tries to last hit and so on).

Top

I love to pick her top to destroy endgame champs like Jax and Tryndamere, but its hard to play her against champs who can jump at her because she doesn't got that much dmg with auto attacks and is more like a kite champ (always use auto attacks if possible to poke melee enemys). Take teleport instead of ignite if you want to rome and help your team, but Ignite to destroy your lane opponents early and get ahead to create pressure. In the recent meta i recommend using teleport, because the most enemys also take it and if not you can just outsustain them by going base and returning fast with full life by using tp.

Jungle

Jungle Lulu has some strong ganks but can be countered by strong early champs like Xin Zhao or Lee Sin which can jump at her. You won't have many problems with clearing your jungle, but you probably need the first 2 blue buff's to gank and clear your jungle faster. I would also recommend going back after the first 2 buffs at lvl 3 or just do one more camp, because you are really low with the 4 pot beginning changes and need a bit life to make better ganks.

Supporto

Lulu Support is pretty strong in lane and can carry the game from the backline with her spells used in the right way. I always play her really aggressive in lane and try to poke down my enemys with the e-q combo. Its important to place wards to keep the map vision for your team, because you can set of kills with it and avoid ganks of the enemy jungler or allies picked up for free when you place the wards correctly. I would also recommend to buy pink wards because they stay forever if they don't get destroyed and can save you a lot of money.

Adc

Adc-Lulu's skills doesn't scale with ad, but instead of bursting champs she can protect herself pretty nice with Wild Growth and Whimsy and does nice dmg over time. She is also one of the best 1 vs 1 Adc's because she can ult herself and polymorph her opponent in a fight.

Choosing the Right Trinket

Warding Totem

I prefer getting Stealth Ward at every role early, because you can avoid early ganks as laner and prevent counterjungling when you play jungle aswell (which is important as Lulu jungle). When a lane is warded you also have the chance of counterganking when you see the enemy jungler with lower life or you think that you got a advantage in a 2 vs 2. At botlane it can also be used to ward the sidelane bushes to prevent lane ganks (do this when your lane gets pushed or you already warded the river bush). Moreover supports often go in this side bushes trying to poke or grab from an invisible position which can be seen early enough to doge. As support, jungle and adc i prefer to sell this trinket later in the game and get other trinktes instead (supp and jungle - sweeping lens / adc - scrying orb). I normally upgrade my warding totem (as toplaner / midlaner) at last item just not if my team needs more wards ( Greater Stealth Totem) or something like a vision ward ( Greater Vision Totem) for an objektive.

Greater Stealth Totem (Upgrade)

You should update Stealth Ward into Greater Stealth Totem when you need more wards at the map, because you can place 1 every 90 seconds which lasts 180 seconds so you can set up 2 wards at one time. I would recommend this if you and your team are behind and have to defend your base, because you can ward the bushes and prevent getting caught from the enemy team.

Greater Vision Totem (Upgrade)

You should upgrade Stealth Ward into Greater Vision Totem when your team wants to get more controll over the enemy jungle or objektives like dragon or nashor. So i recommend getting it as mid or toplaner when your team is ahead.

Sweeping Lens

Sweeping Lens should be bought as jungle Lulu when you reached like lvl 6 where you are safer in your own jungle. As support i also recommend getting Sweeping Lens when you get your Sightstone and got enough wards to place for drag and river + side bushes. With Sweeping Lens you can reveal Stealth Ward or for example Teemo mushrooms and destroy them with auto attacks, but it just lasts 6 seconds so you aren't always able to clear every ward.

Oracle's Lens (Upgrade)

Oracle's Lens is the upgrade of Sweeping Lens and i always upgrade it when i completed my item build. When you upgrade you gain 200 extra range, 60 second less cooldown and you gain 10 extra seconds of true sights in that area.

Scying Orb

I prefer taking Scrying Orb as adc, but just after the laning phase (start with Stealth Ward), because you can reveal a area from a long distance to scout for enemys waiting in for example a bush or doing an objektive like baron or dragon. This advantage can help your team catching enemys in the jungle, getting sight of dangerous spots and prevent beeing cought from the enemy team.

Farsight Orb (Upgrade)

I nearly always upgrade Scrying Orb into Farsight Orb when im full build or when i got enough money to spend while waiting for a big item, because the additional range and the lower cooldown are helpfull, but usually scrying orb also offers enough utility at the beginning.
