Round Off Build With 2 Of These
Not Updated For Current Season
Hello everyone, i'm Ellieboab and this is my first build, usually introductions are pretty damn boring, so i'm going to just say that i've played a lot of Nidalee and I believe this is a very strong and efficient build for splitpushing and lane domination.
Pros / Cons
Pros / Cons
- Strong at every stage of the game
- Very strong splitpusher
- Good fight durability and utility
- Lane harass is ridiculous
- Not many hard lane counters
- Very good escape
- Susceptible to ganks pre-6
- Somewhat hard to master
- Late game damage is hardly anything special, but you make up for it in utility and map pressure
Greater Glyph of Magic Resist
Greater Mark of Attack Damage
Greater Quintessence of Precision
Greater Seal of Armor
For my runes, I took AD Marks, to utilize Nidalee's immense lane pressure through basic attacks, Quints of Hybrid Pen for her basic attack poke and magic damage with Cougar form and Javelin/Bushwack in human form
If you need any clarification or have any reason as to why this build should be using a different rune setup, please comment and I will try to fix it to the best of my ability
Nidalee has very strong damage output throughout the whole game, using a variety of melee, ranged, physical and magic damage. I try to tailor my rune setup to suit this, taking mpen and armor pen and durability in the defense tree. Remember to change these around slightly depending on your enemy laner/jungler.
For items, I generally start with Doran's Blade - Which makes last hitting and harassing with basic attacks a breeze, allowing you to assert lane dominance before level 6, then abuse the early game Cougar form burst with Takedown , which scales well with AD. On my first back (Usually after level 6) I take a second Doran's Blade and a Chalice of Harmony (Note; if you have extra gold pick up Boots of Speed alongside these 2 items) which increases my lane dominance even further by providing more health, AD, mana regeneration and magic resistance. Which these items, you can generally stay in lane as long as you want to. Try to back with enough gold to purchase Kindlegem and Giant's Belt , if you didn't purchase Boots of Speed earlier, now's the time to do so. Your next goal is to upgrade your four components you have sitting in your bag, Chalice of Harmony , Kindlegem , Giant's Belt and Boots of Speed. Upgrade your Kindlegem into Spirit Visage first, which will make your max ranked heal very strong. Upgrade Warmog's Armor second, as Chalice of Harmony still provides excellent mana regeneration, and the extra health provided by Warmog's Armor is much more beneficial. Proceed to purchase Athene's Unholy Grail , upgraded from your Chalice of Harmony. At this point in the game, you are extremely tanky, deal good magic damage from your AP, and good physical damage from your Doran's Blade x 2 and runes/masteries. Next, aim for an Iceborn Gauntlet, generally take Glacial Shroud first, instead of Sheen, as you'll have alot of magic resistance at this point and not alot of armor. For your last item, I recommend one of two options, Guardian Angel for more fight durability, resistances and a second life, or if you find you aren't dying alot, take a Maw of Malmortius.
Not alot to say here, take your Bushwack at level 1 to scout out the enemy jungle and brush in your lane, then proceed to prioritize Aspect Of The Cougar -> Primal Surge/Swipe -> Javelin Toss/Takedown -> Bushwack/Pounce. Leveling your skills in this order
Ignite - Nice extra damage in early fights and reduces healing on champions such as Dr Mundo
Ghost - Can be taken over Flash, and can also be taken alongside Flash if you really need to extra escape/chase
Exhaust - Against a hypercarry/attack speed based champion. Eg - Jax, Fiora.
also allows you to bait enemies into 1v1s.
Teleport - Nice for getting to fights if you're splitpushing, remember it's sometimes worth 1 or 2 towers if your team loses a fight without you.
Non-Viable Summoner Spells (My opinion)
Let your team know your goal in the game is to splitpush and draw attention, tell them to group and push or take objectives whilst you pressure another lane. If your team co-operates, you get free objectives no matter what happens.
In teamfights, your goal is simple, disrupt the enemy carries as much as you can, early game, this is easily achievable as your damage is insane, however, at this point you may not be in teamfights as you're pushing. Late game, use your utility and poke to put your team in a better position than their's. Once the fights start, stick to their adc/apc and don't get off them the whole fight. This will limit their potential damage output and put your team in a better position to win the fight. If your adc requests or is having difficulty during fights, peel their bruisers with your Iceborn Gauntlet.
Farming with Nidalee is quite easy, simply last hit the minions until you hit level 6 then start pushing hard into their turret. With little AP, and before level 11 and 16 ( Aspect Of The Cougar ranks) generally you'll basic attack every ranged minion, then Bushwack/Pounce -> Primal Surge/Swipe in cat form to take out the ranged minions, then last hit or push the melee minions.
This is my first guide as Nidalee, I have very limited knowledge about guidemaking, so this guide is far from pretty, however, I hope the build is fun and successful for everyone. Nidalee is one of the strongest splitpushers in the game, and I believe this build abuses that fact. So thankyou for your time, and good luck :)

If you liked this guide, feel free to ask any questions or anything, it was pretty fun to write, even if it is poorly designed. :P Gl and HF
