Elise's story

Vicious and elegant, Elise's charismatic grace lures the innocent and greedy alike into her web of deceit. While her victims may discover her true intentions, no one has ever lived to reveal what dark secrets lie behind her enigmatic guise.

In dark halls, hidden from society, Elise preached the word of a mythical spider god. Her desperate followers hungered for the god's favor, believing its blessings to be the source of Elise's vibrance and power. When Elise proclaimed that she would lead a pilgrimage to the spider god's shrine, she selected only her most devout disciples to join her. Ecstatic, the chosen few followed her blindly as she led them on a perilous journey across the sea. When they came ashore at their final destination, the mysterious Shadow Isles, Elise led them to a cavern shrouded in webs. Expecting a shrine, the group looked to their priestess in confusion. She turned to the crowd and raised her arms in triumph, revealing strange, spiderlike legs that grew out of her back. Seeing her terrifying true form for the first time, Elise's followers turned to flee, but she conjured magical webs to trap them. With her victims ensnared, she turned to face the cave and uttered a screeching cry. An enormous undead spider-beast emerged from the darkness, dragging its hideous bulk on thick, pointed legs. Elise's followers could only scream as the monstrous spider ate them alive. She approached the sated creature, extracted its venom, and drank the strange substance. An immediate sense of rejuvenation flowed through her veins. With mortality delayed once again, Elise left to rejoin her congregation. They were overjoyed to hear that their fellows had chosen to remain at the spider god's sacred home. Elise reassured her disciples that she would lead another pilgrimage in due time. The spider god would be waiting.

Pros / Cons

+ Healing skill in spiderform
+ Really good KS-champion (Hehehe)
+ No mana-cost while in spiderform
+ Good escapist (If any enemy minions around.)
+ Good ganker

- Hard to master
- Can easily be killed when abilities are on cooldown, because of that you need to watch ur cooldowns in both human and spiderform.
- If you start feeding in the begining, it won't go better late game.

Skill Sequence

Spider Queen - Passive
When Elise's Human Form spells hit an enemy, she readies a Spiderling. When Elise transforms, she summons Spiderlings to attack nearby foes. The maximum number of spiderlings increases with Spider Form's level.

The spiderlings don't to a lot of damage, but they can be really good when pushing turrets cause of boosted attackspeed, and they take agro from the turret.

Neurotoxin / Venomous Bite Q
While in Human form: Deals magic damage equal to a base amount plus a percentage of the target's current health. Damage is capped against monsters.

While in Spider form: Elise lunges to a target with a poisonous bite that deals magic damage equal to a base amount plus a percentage of the target's missing health. Damage is capped against monsters.

This is your main poking and damage skill in human form. It's nice for taking a bit out of a full-health squishy or softening up a tank with little MR. A great spell all around, and even nicer because it has a flat mana cost.

In spiderform, this is your killing blow! Does massive damage on low health heroes.

Volatile Spiderling / Skittering Frenzy - W
While in Human form: Summons a venom-gorged Spiderling that moves to target location and explodes, dealing magic damage to nearby enemies when it nears an enemy unit or after 3 seconds.

While in Spider form: (Passive): Spiderlings gain bonus attack speed.

In human form, this is your best "nuke". It actually does loads of damage when you get your ap up. It is your main lane-clearer. Even though it's kinda slow, it can be very usefull. When it runs through a bush, it will give you vision for a short period of time.

In spider form, this is your other minion killer. It will give you loads of attackspeed, and it will heal you a bit after killing minions. It is also a great choice for taking down turrets!

Cocoon / Rappel - E
While in Human form: Elise fires a web that stuns the first enemy hit for 1.5 seconds.

While in Spider form:

- On enemy cast: Elise and her spiderlings ascend high into the air and descend upon an enemy target.

- On ground cast: Elise and her spiderlings ascend high into the air, becoming untargetable for two seconds. Casting Rappel on a nearby enemy during this time will descend upon your target.

In human form, this is a pretty good skillshot stun. The only problem is that it is a very small projectil so it's hard to hit enemys with it. Don't spam this while on lane unless you got blue buff, it will just drain your mana down.

In spider form, this is your main hunt and escape ability. This can be used to dodge CC, heavy dmg spells and such. It can be compared to when activated. It is really good to chase down enemys if they are in your green circle. Q can be used when falling down.
One big problem is that you only can fall straight down or on a enemy. So, eighter you can just hang up there and hope for the best if the enemy has chased you down or try jumping down on a enemy minion. The ability whill give you vision in the circle, so you will be able to see champions behind walls and bushes.

Spider Form / Human Form - R
While in Human form: Elise transforms into a menacing spider with new abilities. While in Spider Form, Elise deals magic bonus damage on attack and has increased Movement Speed, Armor, and Magic Resistance. Each level of her ultimate allows Elise to summon an additional spiderling.

While in Spider form: Elise transforms into a human form with new abilities. Each level of her ultimate allows Elise to summon an additional spiderling.

Farming

As with all champions, farming has a big roll for your progress. The only problem is that Elise has some problems with it before she get's her ap/ad up.

However, when you get your Ap or Ad up, there is two good ways to farm.

The first way

The first way is when you are in Human form. When a big wave of creeps come, use your Volatile Spiderling / Skittering Frenzy at the creeps. If your Ap is high enough, it will kill a big load of the minions.

The second way

The second way you need to switch to spiderform. Run in to a creepwave when you have som spiderlings stacked and use your Volatile Spiderling / Skittering Frenzy. This will clear the minions in no time!

Ap Elise

Rabadon's Deathcap, Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Lich Bane and Abyssal Sceptar will give Elise the AP she needs. She scales alot with AP since it gives her more percentage health damage from your Q, heals you more from W in spiderform, and gives W in human form the damage it deserves.

Frozen Heart and will give the resistance she need to survive. Frozen Heart will also give you 20% cooldown reduction, which is really good on Elise!

Abyssal Mask will give you loads of magic-resistans. This will allow you to sustain lane longer. It will also give you a unique passive aura that reduces the enemys magic-resistance by 20. This could be a deal-breaker.

Hybrid Elise

Hextech Gunblade is one of the main hybrid items in the game, and should also be used for Elise when playing her hybrid. The item will give you both a decent amount Ap and Ad plus 15% life-steal and 20% spell-vamp. Its active deals 300 magic-damage plus the same effects that Exhaust gives you a really good item overall.

Lich Bane will as always give you Ap and some resistance, but its passive is really usefull for hybrid Elise. Everytime you use an ability, your next auto-attack will deal its normal damage + 100% of your your Ap. It also gives you more speed, so you will run quick as hell when in spider-form.

Guinsoo's Rageblade and Nashor's Tooth will give Elise loads of attackspeed which is really usefull on her. It will also give you a little Ad and Ap. Nashor's Tooth's passive gives 25% CDR which is GREAT!

Alternative Items

Almost every item from all off the three builds can be changed to some of these items.

Void Staff can be used if you're going true AP. This item will give you loads of AP and magic-penetration to kill your enemys with just a few blows. If you're buying this item, be sure to have a good tank on your team to tank your enemys, cause you will have to sacrifice one of your resistance items.

Deathfire Grasp can be used if you're falling behind. Kage's Lucky Pick will grant you 5 extra gold per 10 seconds which can help you alot if you're denied your farm.
Deathfire Grasp's active can be used as an extra ability. This active can burst down tanks with high health!

Athene's Unholy Grail should be bought if you're in need of a little extra magic-resistance or/and that you could need a little extra mana-regeneration.

Zhonya's Hourglass can be bought if your enemys keep focusing you! It will not only give you more AP and Armour, but will also give you an unique active which makes you invulnerable for 2 seconds. Remember that you won't be able to move or use any abilities while having this activated.

Combos

Combos is a important part of playing Elise.

Combo 1

- While in Human form. Try landing you stun on the enemy.
- For maximum dmg, use your Q and W.
- Then, use your R to change to spider form. Use E if the enemy tries to escape.
- Autoattack the enemy while activating ur W. Keep autoattack until W is on cooldown.
- Then use your Q to finish of the enemy. (Your Q does more damage if the enemy is low on health.)

If you didn't kill the enemy, try switch back to humanform and repeat the combo.

Your Jungling route for should look like this:
1. > 2. > 3. > 4. > 5.
(If you know how to, you could start with Wolves and then go Ancient Golem.)

1. Ancient Golem:

When facing the it could mean alot that your mid-laner pulls/leashes the golem. This results in that you will be able to attack the golem without him hitting you. After the mid-laner pulled your Golem, you should start by auto-attack him once while in human-form. Then hit him with your W. Switch to spiderform and auto-attack with W activated. Finish it off with your .

When traveling between camps, be in spiderform. This will make you run faster.

2. Wolves:

By the time you reach the Wolf-camp you should be in level 2. The fastest way to clear out the Wolf-camp is to start out in human-form. Then you should use your Q and W on the wolves. Then switch to spider-form and auto-attack while having W activated. Slay the biggest wolf with you Q.

When traveling between camps, be in spiderform. This will make you run faster.

3. Wraith:

When running between the wolves and wraiths, be sure to activate one of your . When you are at the wraiths, you should stand in the middle of them. While in human-form, use your W and Q on them. Switch to spider-form and auto-attack them with your W activated. Finnish one of them with your Q.

When traveling between camps, be in spiderform. This will make you run faster.

4. Golem:

If needed, use another while running to the Golems. The same procedure should be done here to. Start in human-form, use your Q and W on the biggest golem. Switch to spider-form and auto-attack with your W activated. If needed, use to kill the largest one.

5. Lizard Elder:

If you are low on health, you should probably recall back to base. Start by buying one and some s if you can afford, otherwise go to the camp. If you recalled, travel back to the camp. Start of in human-form, use your Q and W on the . Switch to spider-form and auto-attack while having your W activated. Finnish it of with your Q or if you have it left.

Now you got 2 choices. Either you keep on jungling with the same tactics as before, or you gank.

Ganking:

Do you remember Combo 1 from the "Combos"-chapter? However, this tactic can be used when ganking as . Start by standing in a bush near the lane you want to gank. Be sure to start in human-form. Try landing your E on the opponent. If you hit the enemy, use your Q and W quick. Switch to spider-form.and auto-attack while having your W activated. Try finishing the enemy of with Q or let your team-mate pick up the kill.

BUT, if your opponent isn't in range for your stun, you could use your E in spider-form to get close to your enemy. Switch to humanform and use your E, Q and W Switch back to spider-form and auto-attack while having W activated. Execute your opponent with Q.

Summoner Spells

Summoner spells:

The best summoner spells for Elise mid-lane is in my opinion and . Flash can be used for so many things! Ganking, escaping, hunting and so on. Ignite should be used for finishing off a enemy with low health. And of course should be used when jungling.

Viable summoner spells:

can be used for slowing down one enemy. If you are going Hybrid-, 's active can be used instead. makes you run quick! Especially when you are in spiderform. I still prefer for this.
