This is my first Guide on Mobafire and as a big lover of AD-Carrys i decided to make my own guide about Vayne. Vayne is one of the strongest adc´s in the League, but also one of the hardest to master. In this guide I want to explain to you ,how to win your lane and the game.
Let´s get started.

Vayne ruthlessly hunts evil-doers. She gains 30 Movement Speed when moving towards an enemy champion.
Enemies, who get dangerously low on health will have no chance to escape you. In combination with boots, those extra 30 Movement Speed could give you the advantage you will need. On your lane or in Teamfights nobody could escape you. Night Hunter is just BEAST !
Vayne tumbles, maneuvering to carefully place her next shot. She rolls toward the cursor and her next attack deals 30/35/40/45/50% bonus damage.
Tumble is a spell, allowing you to do different moves to attack, initiate and run away. At level 5 it gives you incredible 50% plus damage, which is a lot if you own a The Bloodthirster , Infinity Edge and other Damage Items. It is an ability to melt your enemies health and close the gap. You can use Tumble also as a short ranged escape to dodge Skillshots or just to run for your live.
The most important use of Tumble is the combination with Final Hour. Use the 1 second stealth to initiate on your lane, get out of focus and surprise enemies who got out of position.
Vayne tips her bolts with a rare metal, toxic to evil things. The third consecutive attack or ability against the same target will deal 20/30/40/50/60 additional damage plus 4/5/6/7/8% of the target's maximum health as bonus true damage. (Max damage vs. monsters is capped at 200)
Silver Bolts is my favourite Spell on Vayne. The fact ,that it deals true Damage in percentage of their maximum health is just scary. You melt down Squishies as much as Bruisers or even Tanks. With some Attackspeed and a constant focus you will hit very hard.
Vayne draws a heavy crossbow from her back, and fires a huge bolt at her target, dealing 45/80/115/150/185 (+0.5 per bonus attack damage) physical damage and knocking them back. If they collide with terrain, they are impaled, dealing 45/80/115/150/185 (+0.5 per bonus attack damage) bonus damage and stunning them for 1.5 seconds.
Condemn could be used for a lot of different moves. First of all with Tumble it is a great initiation on lane. You could easily take ot the enemy Ad Carry for 1.5 seconds. Within thise time you should be able to deal a lot of dmg with Silver Bolts maybe another Tumble. Also it could be used as an escape, knocking enemies away while running. In Teamfights it could be used to get you out of focus, knocking assassins away or to secure kills, stunning enemies who are out of position.
Readying herself for an epic confrontation, Vayne gains 25/40/55 increased attack damage, 1 second stealth during Tumble, and triple the bonus movement speed from Night Hunter lasting 8/10/12 seconds.
Final Hour is Vayne´s ultimate. It grants her bonus Movement Speed, Attack Damage and Stealth in Combination with Tumble. In your early game you could easily chase enemies down on your lane and kill them. In Teamfights beeing invisible could save your life.
There are a lot of different Summoner Spells, which you could use as an Ad Carry but with Vayne I would go for something safe.
I definitely would go with Flash because you do not want to feed an easy kill, failing to escape. Especially vs. Blitzcrank or Lee Sin it could be very helpful.
Especially in your early laning phase Barrier could decide if you die or don´t. You can use it defensive, to save your live or offensive to surprise your enemy and get a kill. Barrier definitely isn´t the best spell on Vayne but in busy situations very simple to use. As an beginner of I would go for it !
Very helpful against junglers like Amumu, Sion or other champions with a lot of Crowd Control. Against an enemy Taric it is an must have !
Ignite is a possibility, but not my first choice. You are more vulnerable,if you have no defensive Spell. Take it if you feel very safe or if you have a support who could save your life like Janna or Kayle.
Those boots are key on an AD Carry ! Upgrade them with Furor or in special cases with Homeguards
It gives you Damage and Health, helping you to do more Damage on your Lane and giving you extra Health to do not die from Ganks or the enemy AD. You defenitely should get it very early and sell it late. Keep it as long as possible.
Life Steal and Damage, and incredible strong combination, giving you steroids ! Rush it early and stack it full.
I love this item in combination with The Bloodthirster. You can splitpush, farm easy and have enough Attack Speed to let your Silver Bolts pop like hell. Try it and have fun, but remember that it isn´t very good to focus single, beefy targets. Go for it against Squidhies in an easy game. I love it, but Phantom Dancer's is better.
When you realize that a Vampiric Scepter is enough and you don´t need no The Bloodthirster you could go for and oldschool first Infinity Edge. The Damage in Combination with those Critical Strikes is just AWESOME !
Gives you more Crit. for your Infinty Edge and more Attack Speed for your Silver Bolts. What else do you want ?
Tip: I go for The Bloodthirster and Runaan's Hurricane or for Infinity Edge and Phantom Dancer. Combination 1. is for AOE Damage and an always full tacked The Bloodthirster. Combination 2. is for singe Targets and sick Damage. Try your favourite one out.
I prefer Last Whisper over The Black Cleaver on vayne, because it makes me feel dealing nearly true damage. Armor isn´t important, you melt them.
Warmog's Armor became very popular on certain AD Carrys, like on Vayne. You just have so much health and nearly do not die. Who needs Guardian Angel to let you live again if you ust do not die !
Guardian Angel is a very popular Item on AD Carries. It gives you armor, magic resistance and restores 30% of your health and mana after death. Also it has some kind of psychological impact, because kill greedy enemies will focus other targets to get easy kills. Feel free to do what you want !
How to use your spells
Vayne is also very dangerous because of her spell combination. Here is an example, how you could hunt down a single enemy.
Tumble could be an initiation doing much damage but may put you in a bad postion. Think twice before you Tumble in a Teamfight, you might land in an Amumu´s ultimate. After closing the gap with Tumble focus your target. Move in the middle of your lane and try to push your prey against a wall to land an easy condemn] . It shouldn´t be a problem to keep up with [[Night Hunter. Furor will also help you. At a certain point your enemy may decide to turn around and fight you. Make sure you have a chance, your team´s backup and no other enemys who may threat you.
Condemn against the wall, hit your target while you move in the direction where it might flee. When the stun ends and your target has a lot of health and/or a chance to kill you, trigger Final Hour and Tumble. You aren´t ableto get attacked and get that bonus damage and movement speed. Before Final Hour expires trigger Tumble again. Use your summoner spells and active items wisely. With some items you also can focus heavy armored enemies. Try to reach your limit in matches with friends. You will get a feeling for her damnage.
Vayne is strong in lane, but high ranged carrys with gap closers and/or burst could be her death. Depending on your matchup you could choose two main styles. The offensive and the defensive one.
Your enemies have a lot of range/burst and you got the feeling, that you are not able to win 2 vs. 2 fights. Just lasthit and DO NOT PUSH. Tell your support to ward river and bushes. Farm at your tower and try to save mana for the death brining engagement. Wait for the right moment and/or the gank of your jungler. Vayne could enable her Kill Mode within seconds. Go for it, but don´t risk too much. If you do not feel stronger avoid 2vs.2 fights. You do not want to feed the champion who already stomps you. Not winning your lane does not mean to loose the game, just try to stay alive and ahead in farm.
You totally stomp your lane, because you do much more Damage than your lane oponents. Go for the kills, ward anything to avoid dying and force the enemy jungler to stay bot. With this amount of vision, you should be able to Tumble and Condemn away when it gets dangerous. Try to get any kill possible without putting yourself into a dangerous situation. Do not forget to farm and get an advantage. When it comes to fights, you are key.
Items make Vayne strong and Minions drop gold. What are you waiting for ? Farm as much as you can and as long you have more Gold than the enemy AD Carry everything is ok. If 2 Minions are low Tumble and autoattack to get both. Avoid getting zoned. If your enemies port back to base push the minions to their tower. The tower will farm the creeps and will "steal" the your lane opponents gold and ep.
As Vayne, overextending could get really dangerous because you do not have an escape like 90 Caliber Net. ! Your support should ward
, the tribush and the lane bushes for a lot of vision. You also could buy a
if you have 100 gold left when teleporting back. If you have enough vision you could push and go agressive. Don´t get cought and back up early if you see enemy jungler or mid laner.
Punish tower dives with Condemn. You should get a kill if you play smart !
Wombo Combo - The Lanes you love and hate
Supports you want to have on your side :
Lulu is very strong because she could buff you, disable enemies and even harass them. She is able to zone enemies and allow you to farm. When it comes to fights her Glitterlance will allow you to keep up with your enemies, whimpsy will disable them and Wild Growth makes you so much stronger.
As well as Lulu Nami is great to secure kills and help you on your lane. She could control enemies with Aqua Prison and Tidal Wave till you are in position for your Condemn. It is very sad that such a small amount of players use nami :(
Nunu slows with his Ice Blast and buffs you with Blood Boil. A good Nunu gives you everything you want. He will help you to chase and save your life after that. Vayne with Nunu is a real WOMBO COMBO !
There is no need to explain that matchup :)
Another strong matchup. Leona gíves you tons of crowd control. Xou defenitely should go for kills with that lane.
Lanes you do not want to play against:
Very long range. Could zone you hard !
A lot of burst damage when you tumble in.
Corki is just strong against you. He has a long ranged ulti, could make you visible and escape. It will be very hard to kill a good one.
Taric will stun you again and again ... It is very hard to play against him if your support doesn´t ward the bushes 24/7.
And again, nothing more to say :)
A lot of people say, that in Teamfights your goal is to hunt the enemy AD Carry down. But what ,if he´s miles away from you and you would die by trying? Try to get a comfortable position, where you can´t be focussed and killed. From there shot the nearest, most important target.
That means, if enemy Alistar is in range, but nobody else, you want to attack him. If enemy Alistar and enemy fed Brand are in range, focus Brand. You should survive the longest because as vayne you could aloso 2vs1 Bruisers after Teamfight. Hunt them down, use your abilities and do not die. That´s the way you want to do it.
DO NOT SUICIDE FOR AN EASY KILL !
