League of Legends (LoL) Question: hybrid attack speed diana?

    hybrid attack speed diana?

Ive been messing around with some attack speed diana builds. namely with nashors and guinsoos being my core items. the dps on it is good late game, especially if you build a roa for survivability. maybe throw a rylais in there somewhere. the biggest downside ive found is the cost of the build as its pretty pricey. overall its an interesting non meta way to play her, and ive found decent success with it in solo que. any thoughts?

Your build is like the AP version of Xin Zhao, only without the sustain nor the gap closer for the first 5 levels. I could see Diana with two attsp/hybrid items (Devourer+Guinsoo's or Devourer+Nashor's) into full tank as somewhat viable, but you'll be lacking in damage late game and still reliant in snowballing early.

In the end it's just a subpar build, but if you find it fun, play it to your heart's content. After all, League of Legends is a game.

She is a bit lacking in sticking power if you go with those builds because E isn't failsafe vs many champions. I think Nashor's can be good vs tankier comps since you become a bit less burst-reliant and gain more DPS, but Guinsoo's is probably overkill and not amazing.

overall id agree with you. i threw the rylais in there because i realize her sticking power isn't awesome, but i still think its a fun different way to play her.

If you're going to play an assassin and build DPS on said assassin instead of burst, then it's probably not very viable.

But hey, if you enjoy playing it, play your heart out.

its more of bruiser build id say, and totally dependent on the team comp your in, i was just wondering what the community thinks of it.

I build her Assassin with Liche's and Nashor's (the rest is Rabadon's, Abyssal and Zhonya's. If they get MR, I change Abyssal for Void Staff, but I usually buy Abyssal as my 2nd item because of the defensive stats it provides), but I find that her AS is pretty good already with 9.6% from Runes and Nashor's, and I've never found Guinsoo's fitting for her, since when I use AAs, I use a few, not even enough to get it's passive at full stacks. Since Liche's price has been lowered I get it as my first item when I got mid (last item if Jungle, because of the Passive overlap with the AP Jungler item, which is pretty good on her too), but that is because I play her as an Assassin that finishes you off with AAs (until you start oneshotting everyone with Q+R, or Q+R+W+R) and her E, and because it makes farming way easier (and Nashor's great for pushing, with it, you take down Towers very fast, because your Passive triggers with Towers, and now you deal damage equal to your AP to them if IDK which conditions are met).

I think wit's end is even better than guinsoo but that's my opinion. RoA is broken and nashor's is fine. If you really want some good attack speed, then get attack speed marks xD
Guinsoo I don't know, way too much attacking and Diana blows up anyone. Furthermore it scales with bonus attack damage and AP. It feels like you're wasting some power and as well some stats.
She has pretty good base damage and the scaling on her passive is also good, so there's is no need for guinsoo. Just go for AP and AS.

I think the best build for mid lane diana is:
RoA/Abbyssal->Nashor's Tooth->Lucidity boots (unless they are totally squishy, go for sorcerer's shoes)->Rabadon's Deathcap->Void Staff->Rylai's Crystal Scepter (Zhonya's hourglass if you really need it, so pricey :( ...)
