Been a long time since I've used this feature, so I guess it's only fitting that this post will be extremely long to compensate. I should be studying, but I've never been a person who does everything they "should" do, unfortunately.

I'm not really sure how to start this. I've been on this site for many many years, but I'm not really close to many people on the site, due to a mixture of the fact that I'm not a very open person socially, and that many that I did talk to have left the site, or league in general. I also don't think I make myself very easy to approach with the way I carry myself on the site, so there's that as well.

So I guess I should just start from the top!

Hi, I'm Albert "H4xDefender" Ong, and I spend way too much time on my computer. I'm an 18 year old Asian male attending California State Polytechnical University in the United States, and I'm majoring in History, although I am thinking of branching into English as well. I've played League of Legends since mid-S2, I started playing games from a very young age, and I hate who I am as a person.

I coach as a part-time job, I used to write guides that got pretty good reception on this site, and I'm a semi-active player in the NA challenger scene. As a result of all of this exposure, I get asked a lot of questions, but there is one that gets asked very often that resonates with me.

Why do you play so much league?

It seems like such an inconsequential question. And to most people, it probably is! But unfortunately, it isn't to me. On the contrary, that question has kept me wide awake in bed many a night, despite the fact that in all honestly, it really has no business doing so, no matter how invested I may be in league.

But alas, this is a plight of my own.

So the few people who actually give a damn enough to read to this point are probably wondering, what is the answer to this dreaded question? What compels you to launch the client and hit play again day in and day out, despite the fact that dynamic queue is the worst feature to ever be implemented into the game for your MMR bracket?

Well, there are a bunch of reasons.

But I'll go into them another time, (in a few hours, tomorrow, or never) because I have class now, and I'd at least like to release part of this because I may never release another, depending on a variety of factors that I may or may not go into on this blog if I ever release another installment of this. (holy **** that is convoluted).

If you actually take time out to read this and leave a comment, <3 you forever.
