Hey,

To begin with your guide seems very helpful and right. I would like to start maining Mordekaiser and I think this will help a lot. I have 2 questions though.
In the runes section Ravenous hunter is shown but Relentless hunter explained. Is that a mistake or Relentless hunter could be an alternative?
(This is more of an advice) You could list the champions Mordekaiser synergies with like supports or jungles.

Thanks for your time

Hey Lao,

I wanted to ask about your Opinion on two things about my Mordkaiser build & playstyle (I am currently unranked but would consider myself an average Player. Maybe Gold 3 or something?) Just some Info: I Mainly play Top & would consider myseld a cood farmer and duelist. My Runes can be compard to your Mobility Runes even though i exchanged Absolute Focus with Celerity. I would exchange one of your Resolve runes with Demolish, too.

So firstly I wanted to ask you: What do you think about Gunblade on Morde?
I normally rush Gunblade (and then normally go your build etc.) because I love it's sustain and think that
1. it increases your potential to win fights from even really low life
2. it gives you a 5th Summoner Spell
and 3. you get a massive damage boost -> Increases your Shield "generate" rate & Sustain
(You get 40% of your damage done as (partly temporary) Health)

and Secondly I wanted to ask you why you Max W.
I understand that you get massive sustain from the W but in my Eyes the massive CDreduction, Base Damage & Scaling you get by maxing the Q just makes it better.
+ you get more Shield & if you go for Gunblade you get more Sustain from the Q then from the W
+ I think this is a personal thing but I mainly play around the Q (I mainly play Nasus,Yorick and Mordekaiser so I think that i'm better used to it / am better then most Players with timing Q's instinctively) so I prefer maxing it because then I can go more aggresive more often.
+ you can farm easier. Yes you get more waveclear with the w (and I use it like this) but You can better control the Minions.
+ The Auto attack reset gives you a little Bonus damage in the Stats (increasing when buying Gunblade)

I would appreciate if you answer and give your Opinion on my Questions ^^
(Btw I'm German too. Just wanted to write it in English for other Mobafire useres that are not English, sry for the lacking of my English skills ^^'
Btw^2 I think i will look by your Stream from time to time ^^)

Sincerely Manoah (aka. TheMano313)

Hey Manoah!

First off i wanted to thank you for taking the time to read the guide and i really hope it helped you.

One of the main reasons why most of the Mordekaiser players and also me, don't like Gunblade is: you can get chain CC'd and Instantly die. It offers you nothing except damage and most of the other Items offer you a lot more reasonable stats and passive effects. Like Rylais gives HP and Slow or liandrys gives health and a burn passive. Also 3400 Gold is extremly expensive for a first Item and it delays your powerspike by a lot.

I always tell people to create their own playstyle so if it works for you, go ahead buy it. But i'd highly consider trying out Liandry's or Rylais first and then the second one.

About the W max. It's simply the best option because maxing Q doesnt increase the base damage. Only the Scaling highers with maxing it. You won't really see a high difference on the damage of the Q if you max W instead of Q. Also you don't only max the W because of the Damage, the sustain is way more important and if you play against meele matchups in the toplane you will out-trade them even harder.

I just tested it in a custom game for the proof. Both Times lvl9 and only Q + W Damage.

Q Max = 540 Damage

W Max = 629 Damage

So for earlygame it's a lot better and there are way too many reasons you should max W. I promise you won't see a huge damage difference from the Q.

I hope this answer helped you, if you didnt understand anything i said or you simply wanna ask any other stuff you can surely write me another comment or if you need a fast answer write me on discord!

Good Luck and have fun!
