9Lesbian
A lesbian is someone who Identifies as female (or sometimes non-binary) who is romantically interested in other people who identify as female.
Gay
Gay is sometimes used as an umbrella term, but it is specifically a male identified person who is romantically interested in other male people.
Bisexual/pansexual
Bisexual usually means attracted to males and females ( in my case it means attracted to non-binary people and other females), and pansexual means being attracted to all (or most) gender identitiesÂ
transgender
Transgender people are assigned one sex at birth, but are not comfortable with that sex. There are a few main types of transgender:Male-to-Female (Trans Girl/Woman), Female-to-Male (Trans Boy/Man), and those who don’t really identify with either one all the time (Non-binary, Genderfluid, etc.)
Asexual/aromantic
Asexual people have a lot of love to give, just not romantically or sexually.
I would though like to start one last little discussion here. And that is the fact that Varus "technically" isn't gay. Yeah, it is confirmed that Kai and Valmar were homosexual HOWEVER Varus has control over everything (body & mind). And well Varus is the darkin, not Kai and not Valmar and well that should mean that what sexual orientation has Varus is unknown. I even checked All Darkin Kayn quotes to see If there is something about Kayn 'still being somewhere inside the darkin body' however I haven't found anything that would proof the fact that darkin doesn't take control over everything. So unless there is some hidden fact I missed, Varus's sexual orientation should be completely separeted from sexual orientaion of Kai and Valmar :/
