Description

One of the biggest decisions a player can make when entering champion select in League of Legends is which champion to pick. For new players, looking at all 155 champions can be daunting, especially with not knowing which champions are the most “noob-friendly.” As a result, our latest tier list will be breaking down every single champion in League of Legends grouping them by difficulty. Rather than doing a tier list that is straight easy/medium/hard, we’re going to break champions into several classifications based on a number of factors. Champions will be grouped by 1) mechanical difficulty of executing their kit 2) how forgiving they can be even if you are not doing well in a game 3) how long it takes the typical player to master the champion and 4) how unique their playstyle is within League of Legends. As a result, this tier list will run a difficulty range from “Easy” to “Severe.” We will also include a brief description of how we’re grouping the champions in each tier.
1

severely hard champions

These are the hardest champions to master in League of Legends.

2

VERY HARD CHAMPIONS

These champions require a lot of skill to play to it's fullest potential.

3

HARD CHAMPIONS

These champions need a good amount of skill to play.

4

AVERAGE CHAMPIONS

These champions are fairly easy to play however do have some skill needed to play them.

5

EASY CHAMPIONS

These are the easiest champions to play in League. I recommend you start off with these picks if you're new to the game or just want a simple and easy champion to play.

6

YUUMI

Yuumi is not a champion

A difficulty-based tier list that puts Yuumi into her very own tier deserves respect.

graves, viktor, & xerath in average tier doesn't seem right

is this a skill floor or a skill ceiling tier list?

The list looks pretty fair to be honest, I'd bump Ryze to tier 1 because so many different things about him make him a really complicated champion to pull off succesfully

Yasuo is not in the hardest difficulty. No way he is on the same tier as Zed or Kalista. The fact that he has some of the best winrates in low elo and worst in high elo doesn't mean the champion is hard to play, it means he is just a bad design. Also Yone is piss easy to play, he is Yasuo but even more easy. I'd put him on average and Yasuo on very hard or hard. Syndra is harder to master than Yasuo. You'll see Iron/Bronze players do some of his most flashy combos while Syndra players have a hard time mastering his kit at this level, i think that speaks loud enough for itself.

Quoted:

Wouldn't this be more like the other way around? As in, champions that perform well in low elo and bad in high elo would be easy to play?

If he is so hard to play then why players in Iron and Bronze can make those advanced plays with him? As i mentioned, Yasuo isn't bad in high elo because of skill mastery, but because of his poor design. He is easy to shut down. His skill expression is overrated. Yasuo doesn't do well in high elo because there are so many more mid laners (or top laners) who can bring so much more to their team than he can.

How is bel veth harder than Viktor, Xerath, Jhin, Seraphine and a few others? Bel veth is at max as "hard" as yi she is incredibly easy

I think talon can't be harder than Taric or Xerath. Nidalee isn't that hard since all you have to do is throwing a spear on enemies.

I agree with what you say about Talon so I'll lower him

I'm wondering what makes fiddlesticks mechanically difficult?

Fiddlesticks is mechanically really easy but there are some advanced mechanics that are quite difficult to execute (ult drain flash is probably the hardest).

For Fiddle it's mainly macro that's hard for him, he's not particularly hard and maybe I shop move him down a tier but a good fiddlesticks knows how to position for ganks / team fights and give that surprise element

Yasuo and Irelia should drop a tier down. Also, Aphelios shouldn't be above Draven, you can do some research and find that most Aphelios mains agree that Draven is more difficult. All you need to do is read his lit.

Now that I rewatch this list I fully agree on everything that appears on this list.
