New Tier List

Description

The only true difficulty tearlist, not for skill floor, not for skill ceiling, but for playing optimally against competent opponent, It might trigger some ppl, but for that reason I also want to point out few things with this list, like the already hinted fact that some champions arent actually required to be fully mastered, while the possibility of deep mastery is still present, they are just that much rewarding, unlike others who require skill closer to mastery of these champs, either because the mastery is that easy to achieve or because it has dimnishing returns, but is still needed to be achieved for champs viability.

Secondly, the difficulty to learn doesnt INHERENTLY equal difficulty to play. So while some champions are hard to learn, they arent necessarily hard to play. Especially those newly released OP champs, where you get away even with playing them completely wrong. It can also mean that champion is hard to play only initially, until player builds his know how and then just implements that.

With that said... Skill floor is difficulty to learn the champ bend to your will. Skill ceiling is limit of the champion. Its possibility but not necessity. Champ can be balanced around point anywhere in between. One is balanced around skill floor, while another around skill ceiling.
1

HARDEST

Each win takes incredible level of skill AND EFFORT.

2

These champs need more than just clue about what to do.

3

skill helps

 Skill expression is optional

4

Difficult if player is idiot

Tier Description

6

Somehow even easier

Tier Description

7

Inting sion

Already takes negative level of skill and effort and still harder than champs bellow.

8

plays itself while you watch netflix

These champions are far easier than Garen. Period. If these champs won, its not the players that won it, its Riot who won it for them.

Sorry, but I really wanna be civil but I believe thats a ******** tierlist, things like Ambessa in easy is hell of a stretch and skill expression on Jayce is not optional, he is one of the hardest if not the hardest champ in the game and not because his mechanics are hard but because he needs high level spacing and has no room for errors. You only get that with above average mechanics plus very high game knowledge and top level execution. You don't need to one trick him once you learned his ins and outs though.

Tbh, opinion such as this is what lead me to creating this tierlist, because its logic is based on inconsistency. Jayce is hard? What about him requires mechanics? His skillshot? Lux has them too. His point n click spells? You cant be serious. He doesnt have any animation canceling, combos nothing much to speak off and you say you need mechanics? Lmao. Same shyt with GP. GP's difficulty lies only in the fact that enemy can jump at him, in that enemy can dismantle his E and the fact that his passive can be wasted on minion and bunch of nuances you can ignore to get 95% of his power and all of the former falls apart the moment GP realizes that he can just put one barely under his own nose or slightly behind him, which makes the barrel out of enemy's reach and the barrel creates no-go zone for enemy and in case enemy does chase GP down, GP can easily on the spot detonate the barrel, which gives GP ton of MS, slows enemy, does ton of damage and even resets the damn passive.

What about Fiora? Just using her W correctly already counts as heavy outplay, because she either read opponent well or outmaneuvered him or enemy simply did mistake and she didnt, which is same same. The vitals she has to hit are pretty much in the mercy of her opponent and on top of that until she builds few items, she has to make even her mobility count by dodging enemy spells and dancing around if she doesnt want to get statchecked, which also includes on hitting max range Qs which requires perfect aim and positioning. Too far, you dont hit hin and can get long *** CD on Q. Too close you will have to recall in next 5 seconds. Slows and enemy's own MS boost completely fks her over. She cant move, she cant so she cant hit vitals and do damage, if she cant hit them then no MS boost either and heal either. Slows and MS boosts last very long and enemy can hug walls, use minion block to block her. Build heals, shields, GW on top of already mentioned slows and MS boosts. Stuff like stride, rylai, botrk, iceborn are complete nightmare.

Thats not even mentioning specific match ups, where some champs have their own BS she has to deal with.

Then ppl play against Morde who doesnt even know what her W does and ppl get the idea that Fiora autowins melee fights and with minimum skill.

I think your opinion gets automatically disqualified if you are capable of thinking that Jayce is the hardest champ in the game. Jayce is two simple champs combined into one. That is his one and sole difficulty. A lot of easy champs have no room for error too, but what they do cant be failed if you have 100 IQ, thats why they are still easy. And there are plenty of champs who have to position just as well or even better than him, either because excellent spacing is their only way to reliably reach the opponent or because it their only lifeline. Someone like Fiora needs to position perfectly for both, to access vitals and to have enough room to work with if enemy decided to charge at her, this sometimes changes with match up, but in general it applies. And in her case, no matter how much effort it takes, its still just tiny fraction of her difficulty.

And in case of Ambessa. If she had to make every dash count then I would agree, but that is not the case.

I personally thinks that Poppy has a little more credit than what you give her. I'm not saying she's hard, but I would definitely consider moving her one tier above. She doesn't requires a particularly fast or good input, but if the players against you are skilled, then she requires better and better positionning and timing in order to be effective. While if you miss a q with thresh or morg everything is fine, miss one e with poppy against player with hands and you're dead, she's extremely commitive. But yeah, just food for thoughts 😝 id say the tier list is pretty good though and i'd understand if popps stays whete she is.

Dude every champ has something. Thresh for example cant afford to miss his Q when its Rengar jumping at his adc, or when Master Yi is running at the adc. Also Thresh has to aim every Q. One missed Q from afar might not hurt you, but then again and again. Poppy at least doesnt have to do that. And while yes, as enemy I can position always away from the wall, I dont think poppy needs to inherently win the lane and outside that stuff gets messy and isnt about watching out for Poppy E anymore.

Even if she was somehow harder than Thresh, I dont think she is that MUCH harder. Def not more than Brand, Sylas or Khazix who I put in same tier.

You can do interesting stuff if you got hands. Thats why "skill helps".

briar is easy to pick up but hard to master. you wont have much impact on her if you play her not to her full potential

RngNick (1) | May 30, 2026 10:14am
Dude, its still champ that most of the time just runs at you at straight line. Some nuanced details really dont put her at the level of Riven or Katarina.

Oh yeah... Briar... SUPER difficult. lmao

Also dont forget you need to be able to resist the urge to kamikaze ult your support just because he is being annoying.

Purrrfect Kitty (180) | February 23, 2026 3:28am
I think she is not that complicated to play, but REALLY hard to master. The jumps, the spear transfers, etc.

She kinda sucks if you cant consistently transfer stacked spears from minion on enemy champ and thats genuinelly hard. Also you need to be able to make the most out of her kiting ability, since thats big part of her power budget.

top 3 tiers and bottom tier are perfect, everything else is iffy. Rek'Sai too low.

RngNick (1) | January 10, 2026 2:40am
No /s ?

Anyway, reksai is as hard as Draven, Zeri, Viego? Or you mean that she should be in top of easy champs? Champs in each category arent in order.
