I agree with the archiving part. There are way too many builds that should be archived that aren't.
I also agree with you on the part where scrubs all follow top guides and fail hard.
One thing you should know, pre-nerf alistar was most viable as AP carry. Shushei from Fnatic MSI of the EU team raped so hard in Dreamhack. There are replays up on the Dreamhack site I think. AP alistar was the reason he was nerfed so hard. Go check out the patch notes. Your argument about AP alistar sucking was completely invalid. If you want specifics, don't ask me. I don't play AP ali. All I know was that AP ali was faceroll.
And btw, it's bigfatlp. You should go check out some top elo player streams in a while. They help with playing.

Yes AP Alistar did dominate a single tourny. This was as much to do with it being unforseen as it was to do with it being overpowered. As I said before, headbutt is easily glitched. If you put a champ that can glitch the headbutt (in the lane against him) to make it not land then you ruin the Ali. Cait, Ez, Shaco, Shen, Sivir, Wukong, Vayne, and Noc all have abilities available level 1 that can glitch or negate headbutt if timed perfectly. The build was gimmicky to begin with. IMO it NEVER had a lasting professional impact.

No I don't know who fatlip is, I'm a casual veteran who plays with friends and couldn't care less about the tournaments. Perhaps a requirement for "Pro" guides should be that they are kept current or disabled so that the moron pugs that think that the highest rated mobafire build is the best won't follow it and ruin my game by being useless.
Maybe I came down a bit hard on the guide, but this community applauds anything that has excessive offensive stats without taking actual game-play viability into consideration. I can about guarantee that if I make a new guide and put 6 offensive items onto any character the community will applaud while if I make a viable but non-cookie cutter guide it will be down voted and ignored.

O_o How is something this gimmicky a pro build? There is no way it's viable because it's an AP CARRY itemization on an champion that needs to be in MELEE RANGE to be effective.
If you were building things like RoA and Rylai's (which is actually a very good item on Ali) then I could maybe see it. But as is, AP carry verse AP carry, their ap carry will have longer range and one spell rotation will kill him unless he ults. Once he ults then the other AP carry will retreat and then one spell rotation and he's toast. Plus this champ can't stack while their AP carry probably can...advantage any other AP carry.
My second issue is that headbutt is a very easy ability to glitch. Any character that uses a lunge or teleport while he headbutts can glitch the ability causing it to not deal damage. If you're talking PRO guides then you have to expect this kind of thing.
My third issue is that Ali only has two offensive abilities and you're building him pure offense. This is basically a worse version of AP Sion.
Mobafire is full of morons who will upvote this garbage...
1) Look at Dreamhack. Look at shushei. Then talk. This guide was written pre Ali nerfs.
2) Do you even know who bigfatlp is? He's one of the top players of this game. Rofl You troll him more?
3) EVERYONE STOP FOLLOWING THIS BUILD. IT'S OUTDATED AND AP ALISTAR IS WORSE THAN SUPPORT ALI NOW.
