I was really good with ad.
Because sometimes you will need to be, what the team wants you to be.
I do plan on doing at least the placement matches, but after I buy/learn some more champions.
(feels like I need more solo AD/jungler practice)
As far as the tribunal is concerned, don't be an ******* and you'll be fine. Normals is for learning champs and ranked is for when you want to test yourself on characters you can play pretty well so you'll be fine.

Second, IMO, don't start playing ranked before you have more than 200 wins in normal games and a positive ratio (more win than loses). By doing these 2 things, you'll be much more experienced and prepared to play ranked games. You'll enjoy them a lot more this way, trust me.
Third, as Mastarwe said, there are A LOT of players who don't play ranked games, for many reasons. No one forces you to play ranked games as soons as yuou get lvl 30.
