So... it looks like they were going for a more "solomid.net" kind of thing... but to be honest I think it looked much better before. This new design is very chunky and nowhere near as aesthetically pleasing as it was before. Anyone else feel the same way?

Edit: I also don't like that the Champion's Passive doesn't have an Icon anymore on the cheat sheet. I also noticed that there is now no distinction between Team 1 and Team 2 which forced me to revise some of the wording in my guide.

Thanks for your post! We're very open to feedback, negative as well as positive, we always listen closely to our users.

I would like some more detail about your concerns though. What do you mean by chunky? Can you give it some thought and let us know what it is exactly that you don't like about it? Do you mean that it isn't as compact as it used to be?

The passive we can put back in if people miss it. We left it out as we thought it was unnecessary but if people found it convenient we can find a way to include it again.

We abandoned the team 1 team 2 aspect (and intended on doing so in the builder) as we didn't really see anyone using it to actually indicate teams. We will be adding a field to each build that will allow you to provide a full name for each of your builds instead, so instead of "build 1" and "build 2" it will show whatever name you want. Will this solve your concerns with that aspect?

Anyone else have concerns or comments? Keep them coming!

Thanks Matt for responding to my concerns.

As I state in the title, these are all just aesthetics and don't really change functionality in the least.

By "chunky" I guess I just meant that there are a lot of hard edged squares which kind of give the cheat sheet a more bland and militant kind of look. I thought the cheat sheet before didn't appear as harsh due to the border that was around it as well as the black or dark translucent background. Unfortunately, since I can't pull up what it looked like, the list of things that I liked about the old sheet is somewhat lacking. Sorry about that.

I liked having the passive visible because as I've been playing I've been trying more and more to fully understand more of the champions. Unfortunately when you just pull up their information in the client it doesn't actually give any numbers. Now, since the icon isn't available in the cheat sheet I would have to go to the LoL site and search for the champion. Another point is that when writing the guide, I know exactly how I need to write the BB code based off of what I see in the cheat sheet. So if I am making reference to someone else's passive I'm somewhat shooting in the dark and hoping you guys don't use an extra colon or apostrophe that I didn't see elsewhere.

The reason why I liked the team 1 and team 2 aspect is because my guide has 5 builds, 3 of which I recommend for ranked play, and 2 that I would rip my eyes out if I saw someone play them in ranked, but still work on the champion. The team option allowed me to split them accordingly to help remove any confusion that people just glancing at the cheat sheet might have. Now although I will soon be able to give each build a name, which I love btw, it is still a possible point of confusion, and confusion leads to misunderstandings in intention and could possibly result in an unwarranted downvote.

I also know that when browsing guides for champions that I am trying out, Lee Sin most recently for me, it is nice to load the guide and see right at the top, "SoloTop/Jungle" so that you can see what the two build represented are without having to click each icon individually in order to see their name.

Just my thoughts. Any chance you have a screenshot of the old cheat sheet and I will be able to more specific about what I preferred.

Thanks again Matt. Your attention is always appreciated :)

Edit: Part of the "chunk"iness can be attributed to the inconsistent gradients behind the different sections. "Purchase Order" has Gradient starting from the bottom. "Ability Sequence" has no gradient. "Masteries" has a Gradient starting from the top.

If you switched it so that their was a top gradient for the Build Cheat Sheet start and then a bottom gradient at the end of "Masteries" it would remove that eye sore and create a consistent look throughout. Just an idea.

Another Option would be to just have a top gradient for each individual section of the cheat sheet, just like the sections throughout the rest of the guide.

@Cubby1313, regarding the chunky look, we will take this into consideration, as well as your comments about the gradients. We are gathering feedback from other users as well and will adjust accordingly :)

Regarding passive, understandable. We'll give some thought to putting it back!

Regarding team 1 and team 2, I see your concerns. However this is a very unusual thing that I don't think I've seen other authors doing. It does suck in your case... But unfortunately I don't feel that this one instance is compelling enough reason to keep the teams aspect. If anyone else cares to chime in on this I'd be happy to hear it though! I might suggest using the embed tools to include a "do not do this" chapter in your guide and share the builds?

The guide names, I see what you are saying about seeing the builds at a glance now. We will discuss this issue.

Let me see if I have a screenshot ... Didn't actually think to take some before making this change, oops!

Yeah, my guide is designed to kinda be an "everything you need to know" and "all options covered" about the champ. Not many guides are written that way so I understand why it wouldn't be a priority by any means. In the end I will likely have to remove the builds and put in a separate section sporting the support and On-hit builds :/ The only problem with that is I will no longer be able to use the runes and masteries bb code to make it look pretty. I'll just do it, make screen shots, remove the build and add the screen shots. Should be simple enough :)

Well if they're builds that you are suggesting people do use, in specific situations, then once we have build names in that will work. It's mostly just awkward if they are builds you want them to NEVER use. In case they don't get that from reading the build name (or in the mean time while there are no build names).
