Ok, so, just about any LoL player can say that Zilean has one of the most game changing ults in the game, and he is a great pick for 'Protect the Kog' comps, but his other skills don't really help. o:

Anyway, recently I've discovered that solo top Hecarim is EXTREMELY strong in low elo. Also, I was thinking and I realized he could work in a protect the kog team, and he benefits a lot from Zilean's W AND Zilean could safely put bombs on him, due to the fact that Hecarim can get to his target almost no matter what.

So I want to propose a team comp, that would go something along the lines of:

Top: Hecarim
Mid: Zilean
ADC: Kog'Maw
These three are for sure, the other two, I have an idea of what I want, but am not 100%
I was thinking
Support: Lulu or Nunu & Willump
Jungle: Nautilus Alistar Malphite or Maokai is generally what I was thinking OR Nunu & Willump if he didn't go support.

Anyone have any thoughts about this?
Also, would anyone be willing to try it with me?

Sure :P

PM me tomorrow when you get 3 other people.

Also, I think you should put down how this comp would work.

I guess this belongs into theory crafting, no?

Zil might be a bad idea as mid, I don't know, even with koggy.

Tah beh, or nat tah beh. BOOM! Nat tah beh.

Can't do this tomorrow, busy, sorry, but will contact you at some point.

How it will work:
For simplicities sake, I'm going to assume Nunu is jungling, and Lulu is supporting.

Kog and Zilean will try and harass as much as possible, until Hecarim gives the signal to initiate. He uses his E Ghost and Shurelia, and Lulu and Zilean both speed buff him. This makes him incredibly fast, and hard to stop, as well as very powerful, due to his passive. Additionally, Lulu may ult him, and Zilean may place a bomb on him for almost guarenteed damage on the carries.

He will then ult into the middle of the the enemy team with all these buffs, and charge backwards into someone (as Heca usually does) giving a strong initiate, and beginning to deal massive damage to the enemy team, while slowing them all due to the aura from Lulu, and staying up due to tankiness, and his W. This is his role in the fight.

Nunu will Blood Boil Kog'Maw, and try and keep enemies off him with his E. If an opportunity presents itself, he will ult as many members of the enemy team as possible.

With Blood Boil, and his massive lategame, Kog will be absolutely raining hell on the enemy team, and will be impossible to interrupt, due to Nunu's slows, coupled with Hecarim causing absolute havoc!

If someone does get to him, and manages to take him down, he will recieve a Zilean ult, putting him back up again at either full, or very close to full health.

Lulu will simply cc the enemy, and/or buff hecarim when possible.

TL:DR Lulu and Zilean buff up Hecarim to God mode, who wreaks havoc on the enemy team, and Nunu buffs Kog'Maw, who proceeds to kill everything while the rest of his team protects him, and distracts the enemy. If something goes wrong, Zilean will ult Kog.

To the others, Zilean mid is incredibly strong, his harass is beyond godlike. His problem is that he falls off lategame, due to the simple fact that his utility isn't as good as the massive nuke most ap mids have. I believe having both Hecarim AND Kog'Maw, would be enough to make him incredibly useful however.

I'd have Nunu & Willump as support since he can use Blood Boil and his slow is awesome

Either naut or maokai jungle, you'll have to try both

But then I get no Lulu ult, or speed up on Hecarim D:

That naut ult would be pretty helpful though. o:

Some variations you could do-
Nunu jungle, Lulu support

Lulu top lane anti-bruiser, hecarim jungle. You get your required 3 and both supports lol
