Hey guys! This is gonna be my first post here in the forums, not counting the introduction. This is one of two champion ideas I had a while back. I'm not that good with numbers... But I did write a decent lore I think. I would like to hear some opinions, since this is just a concept.

Check my later posts! All the numbers are there. This 1st post was more to get the idea out there. Scroll down if you think some values are too high.

Passive (Dead Star):

Any time Sora is hit by an enemy champion's attack or ability, he gains bonus Ability Power, equal to 7% of the damage. This caps at 10 AP per hit, and stacks 5 times.

Q (Mass Burst):

After a brief delay, blasts an area with magic damage, burning 10% of any enemies' mana pool. This has a very short casting range of 550, with the AoE having 250 units in diameter.

W (Wormhole):

Sora briefly transports to another time plane, becoming untargettable for up to 1.5 seconds. This roots him to his current position. This can interrupt his channel. The ability can be interrupted at any time.

E (Space Bend):

Sends out a skillshot sphere which passes through enemies and walls, dealing magic damage. This has a large range of 1150 units. While it travels, Sora can re-activate this ability to take the sphere's place, destroying it.

R (Galaxy's Core):

Sends out a galaxy-like skillshot, hitting the first enemy in it's path (does not hit minions). If it hits, the enemy becomes supressed for 1.5 seconds, while Sora channels to create a blue and white orb. This orb is then sent at the enemy hit, dealing damage. The orb will still hit regardless of the target's suppressed state.

*Notes*: Sora is supposed to be a 'risky' caster. His main nuke (Q) has very low range, incentivating the use of his E as a gap closer, since the damage will be less. While this means he will need to be too close for comfort, this is (somewhat) encouraged by his passive and W. Finally, despite having a duration of 1.5 seconds, suppressing a target and then getting out of position will leave you vulnerable.

Lore (Read at your own risk):

The Sirius are the race of the star carriers, the inhabitants of outer space who command the power of most stars, each being born with a small Star Core in their chest. While they possess some magical powers, they don't differ much from humans, sharing much of their bodily image, many personality traits, thoughts and concerns. And, as such, they also have their own problems.

Sora was just another one of the Sirius, living his life to fulfill his duty as commander of a star. He was not a fighter or even extroverted in any way. Shy and easy to miss, not as much from appearance as from his reserved attitude. A ticking time-bomb of feelings and thoughts, his life was pretty pathetic, even by his own standards. He had one friend, Stella, a young Sirius girl who he had known for has long as he could remember, despite her somewhat noble ancestry. He always felt like he owed her, for all the time she wasted with him. One day, an unstable star, out of the Sirius' control, threatened to crash into their home planet. To counter this, it was necessary to create a Sun Star, a star carrier of huge power. Because of her noble roots, Stella was compatible (and the one selected) for the process. The one drawback was that the augmentation required a sacrifice. Sora volunteered, his chance to actually do something for the greater good: her. He didn't care about the planet, he could finally repay her. Plus, she didn't know about it, so she couldn't refuse. He entered his chamber and the world went black. Then he awoke, lying on the floor, the Sun Star shining in front of him in Stella's chest, as she remained passed out. It wasn't possible... He should be dead. His star was destroyed, but what remained was not void, it went beyond that. He now possessed a Black Hole, and new powers. But he could not let himself stay there, as the girl could wake up. Before he could even be examined, he rushed for a space pod and took off to the nearest inhabittable world... As luck would have it, he landed in Valoran, in the shores near Demacia. After shocking many bystanders, he has sheltered by the League and became a champion. The bomb stopped: he still had more to pay to the world.

And that's about it. Some tweaks to the prototype, but the idea is the same.Sorry for any grammar mistakes, I'm not English... It's quite a bit of lore to stomach, so please forgive my brain... Please give me some opinions and/or suggest some numbers!

I really like this person :D
ABout the w, maybe have an explosion when he becomes targetable again?
Also, maybe think about what he might look like.
If your having trouble with the ability power numbers, look at some other champions for the numbers, as well as mana and coolodowns. Also, think about rasing the seconds that he channels, becomes untargetable, etc.
Good job on the overall idea though!
I have also imporved my champion ideas based on other's opinions! :D

the draining mana power of his Q means hes going to win lanes all the time unless there is a manaless caster there like akali or kat or morde

10% is a long time specially if Q has a short CD

you should lower it to something like 1% at level 1 and making it scale to 5% at level 5

10% early game is a lot and its a lot late game too since its percent based

Oooh, got an idea!
If he has a supposed star in his chest, when he dies there should be an explosion thing, like Kog'maw's passive.

Wow! That's a lot of ideas, I'm happy the topic got some attention. As for numbers, I believe you are probably right, other champions are as good of a place to start as any other.
Oh, and he doesn't have a star in his chest, he has a black hole. The explosion idea is a very good one, but, like you, I was also reminded of Kog'Maw, so I made the adjustments pre-conception. But I'm glad you guys liked the lore! I was afraid my writting was a bit too confusing.

I'll try and make another post soon only with abilities. Or should I just update what I just have? Will it get confusing? Again... I depend on opinions I guess!

Oh, and DillButt64, thanks for showing me the RPG personality test! I'll be putting the results on my signature! And, of course, checking those mana burn values.

Thanks, everyone!

Happy to help :D
On my threads I just edit the thread to the requests, but I believe posting the changes as a reply in the comments (changes in a different color) might be better.

Ok, after checking out some numbers from other champions, I think I have come up with the numbers for his abilities. As always, would love some opinions on balancing him. So here goes:

Mass Burst:
Damage: 60/100/140/180/220 + [65% of Ability Power]
Range: 400
AoE: 250
Delay: 0.5 seconds
Cooldown: 14/13/12/11/10
Mana Burn: 6%/7%/8%/9%/10%

Wormhole:
Duration: 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5
Roots to Location
Interrupts Chanelling
Interruptable at any time
Cooldown: 20/18/16/14/12 (*updated)

Space Bend:
Damage: 80/110/140/170/200 + [50% of Ability Power]
Range: 1100
Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10

Galaxy Core:
Supression Time: 1.5 seconds
Channel Time: 1.4 seconds
Damage: 350/425/500 + [80% of Ability Power]
Cooldown: 135/105/75

What do you think? As for base stats, it's a little more... Complicated. I really have no idea on the usual values for x type champion, so I might do some research on that if I have to.

can you explain Wormhole to me...i honestly dont understand the benefit you get from rooting yourself in play but being able to still get pushed out of it while not doing anything

if it worked similar to the hourglass and put you in a stasis and you couldnt be harmed during it then that would be pretty cool but it would need a huge CD

Well... It kind of is really... I guess I'm that good with explanations... It's basically vladimir's pool, except longer and static. It's his defensive move: he cannot be hit by abilities, attacks or debuffs, but tethers and DoTs still go through. The good players would use it for only that splitsecond in which they would have been hit, since staying in that state too long will make you a sitting duck - that's how team would focus you: force you to remain in Wormhole, and, therefore, be useless.

BTW, just updated Wormhole's CD!

Maybe for the wormhole you could have damage dealt to nearby enemies while you're untargitable (not sure I spelled that right)? It might make the ability a bit better C:

+rep me if you think I did something cool enough to deserve it!
