I found rumiah's first point to be quite awkward to explain as well. The easiest way to explain it is that you should position yourself such that the skill shot in question is orthogonal to the plane of a champion's typical 'escape route', if that makes sense.
I think you're underevaluating the second point. It's more than just shooting arrows from not weird angles. It's that you shoot skillshots so that they go with the flow of the map. It's about partitioning every lane into 2-3 zones. The reason the video was so long was because he was giving examples of zones that a given lane can be split up into. That's why he was drawing on his map editor and stuff
The jungle can be split into a zone or two as well, but as you can imagine, it's a lot harder to shoot an arrow in the flow of the map if you're in the twisty jungle.
