Mechanically "easy" champ but still fun?

Hi guys,

Still a relatively new player, I'm one of those players that loves to watch streams and think about the theory of the game. I feel like my strengths as a player is understanding how and when to pressure objectives, and a good understanding of matchups (when i can and can't play aggressively, understanding how a lane SHOULD play out, etc etc). However, one thing I notice with high elo players is how amazing their mechanics are. This may sound silly, but it is so noticeable when they play games while waiting for queue - even like minesweeper and tetris, they are just unbelievably quick. I want to keep working on my skills, but I have to admit, I'm just not going to get THAT much better at mechanics and quick fingers, I'm jsut a pretty uncoordinated guy.

I always jump back and forth between champs, and there is that additional factor of feeling good when I succeed with a "high skill cap" champion. But in reality, I think its time to admit that I am not liekly going to be able to pull off a mechanically difficult champion to maximum effectiveness. I also really wanna focus on 1-3 champions for a short time and try to master. So I am looking for 1 or 2 mechanically "easy" champions that still are fun to play. I was trying out Nasus jungle, and yea, he's pretty straightforward, but I didn't have that much fun. Two other thoughts I had are Riven and Hecarim, and maybe Rumble. Just would like to get your guys thoughts on that kinda champion.

I'm pretty much at your place and I'd just try to play Champs you like rather than searching for "easy" champions, because at some point your muscle memory will catch up and you'll do just fine.

If you want to train mechanics badly just go into a custom game without bots and focus on getting every last hit. Then do the same with bots and finally with players. And write down how high your cs was at 20mins. That way you train the base of your mechanics.

If you can harrass your lane opponent while maintaining a high cs I'd say you've already improved your mechanics by quite a bit.

Never say that you're not able to improve, because that is just the lazy way out. :/

Hecarim looks pretty good, you have to remember to hit your Q properly (space it out a bit in the jungle, so you achieve maximal duration on it without using all your mana in 5 secs)

Riven and Rumble are not easy by any means.

Ryze is pretty straightforward though. Lots of room for error because you build him tanky in the standard build and he can't miss skillshots, not to mention he's a great champion even at highly competitive levels of play.

Lol I actually started playing the game with "high skill cap champs"

My first main was Jarvan, who some would say is reletively harder to play for a bruiser, and Viktor was my main and still is my main, and he's one of the hardest mages to use effectively. :p

For easier but still fun champs I look at Nunu & Willump, Taric, Kayle, Garen etc

Malphite, Swain and Renekton are mechanically fairly straightforward. Not saying that they don't require skill but it's easy to pick them up, play and don't feel like a total jackass.

Don't agree with Satella. Riven is a very neat champ to pick up. Straightforward mechanics and build path. Sure, she requires skill but is very fun to play and not hard to start off with. Wouldn't go with Rumble though; he's really tough if you don't know his matchups and heat system.

I LOOOOVE Singed.

There are a lot of more effective champs, but I've found him to be the funnest. His only skillshot is his Mega Adhesive. Good game.

Teemo I win ;) lol

really though...teemo is hella fun imo for a number of reasons...but the main reason is that you piss everyone off...which I love to do...mechanically he is pretty easy to catch on to though difficult to learn how to play at higher level well.

Thanks to jhoijhoi for my signature!
