This is entertaining, in a masochistic way: blogs on a LoL-dedicated site. BWAHAHAH! Seriously!? What is this, My_Space Maybe a forums group of some sort but... blogs? (Ugh, I hate that word. So cacophonous.)
I guess this is my first one here. Might as well try to "reach out to the community." Don't know if I want to do that here, since I've already had a negative experience, and I just joined. (Makes me wonder if all that blasphemy about LoL community being horrible not blasphemous.)
Pretty basic stuff here. I guess I'll stick to the game for now.
I play (nearly solely) Soraka as an AP-focused support who averages 30.1 assists per game* as of this writing on normal-free pick matches and just under 20 in Normal Draft-Pick. Since I give no more {cares} than 0 about elo (whatever that means/is/used for/named for) I'll try out some solo-match-up Ranked when I get to 30. I decided to put out a guide in commemoration of my steady string of 26-37 assist games and it was scoffed at. Hilariously enough, I still get those games as a higher level, so I must be doing something right.
My computer is **** with 4GB and a 1.4GHz duo core, so I can't screen capture/record games without dropping from 30 FPS to about 11, or crashing when I load to 100%. (Maybe if Riot had a theatre/ replay system...)
Oh, and I hate DOTA 2. Loathe it. Abhor it.
I guess, maybe, under certain conditions, which may never happen, involving me gaining followers/friends (as if anybody has those!), I will consider making more... posts... here about stuffs. Perhaps my adventures in-game and out (since I have many in both) and on wider topics, like games other than League, or shared wisdom I feel like passing down, like I'm some sort of Sage who now lives out on a mountain top, since Sages living on mountain tops are pretty much the quintessence of wisdom. It's like in every myth there's this old dude living a solitary life on a high place out there and he's always the guy to go to for information on something, which is a lot like an information broker. Ever need to know some martial arts? Visit the Sage. Wanna learn to speak powerful words? The guy on the mountain knows. Trying to find a lost power (perhaps within)? He's got the knowledge. A solitary Sage Information Broker. Yeah, that's pretty much the idea.

...and find myself being eaten alive by a Kah'Zix several times per game, while getting Skill-Shot-ed by a Caitlin coming in from another lane when I play as, my favorite, Teemo in mid.
This means only one thing - you don't use wards and don't watch mini-map. Simple :)
Was teleport on Annie a bad thing? I know most people use Ignite, but I have never played her previously and that was maybe the third time I went mid since I started PvPing.
Well... teleport on support is imo not a wise choice. I've seen it once in game and it was useless.
First of all, on
For example try to take
You will see what suits you best, and you can always take different spell, depending on your laning opponents.
And second, thoes are pretty good stats you got there muchbetter than I would ever accomplish in a lifetime of LoL, I'm barely getting out of lvl 17 and find myself being eaten alive by a Kah'Zix several times per game, while getting Skill-Shot-ed by a Caitlin coming in from another lane when I play as, my favorite, Teemo in mid.
Thanks to all of you for replying; I expected 0 comments for the rest of ever on here and eventually this account would fall into disuse.
Have no clue how to calculate "elo," so that site was lost on me. :S
Not sure which word I misused, perhaps you think Masochistic but I assure you it's painful to me to write a... that word that I hate that this is.

Actually, you can get even 30-40 assists, if you play against Wood 5 enemy team (I still have replay on my Nami game where I went 0/5/48, and I am sure I can find some more replays with 30+ assists... :D). But it doesn't mean I'm the best support EVAR and that I will post my build as a guide for the others. It really means, they suck more than brand new vacuum cleaner.
And as a fellow support I recommend ALWAYS get a sightstone (you save tons of gold on wards) and if you upgrade it, you get +health. Also that teleport on Annie made me smile :)
Soraka was my main supp and ranked champ as well, but nowadays I feel she needs really good team, to do something, as she has no CC. Silence is very useful against many champs, and she can help to win late game team fights with her ability kit... but I feel like that is not possible in low elo games and I got balemd for everything, in ranked games.
So I switch to CC suports for now, we'll see how it works out.. so far nobody complained :)
GL with your leveling and ranked games :)

Welcome to mobafire, may you find great joy on this website.
P.S. My first guide was also on soraka, I also wrote it pre-30, it also sucked, but I listened to the advice the Mobafire community gave me and managed to get it up to 60% before I archived it due to the fact I didn't play her anymore and didn't want to update it.
you can use quickfind.kassad.in to look up your hidden normal elo (use it for 30ish solo queue games and then judge what your average is).
In any case you'll always be welcome at Mobafire as long as you participate and (if you make a guide) aren't completely stubborn about 'omg my guide is the best and how dare you say otherwise'. :)
Look forward to seeing you around ;P
